Thanks for getting in touch with us.
In theory you can upload the plugins to your second site as well, however you will not be able to receive automatic updates for our premium plugins, so you would always need to do that manually and officially you will not be eligible for support for that site.
Here’s a post summarizing what support is provided for license holders.
Instead of repurchasing all the plugins, you also have the options to upgrade to a business license that grants you updates and support for 3 sites and costs $149 for Events Calendar PRO for example. If you upgrade from a single license then of course you only need to pay the difference. ($149 – $89 = $60)

I’m limited in supporting customizations, but might be able to give you some pointers.
In your code above you are only changing the order of the events. As you asked in your second post, if you want past events to be shown then you will also need to change the start_date and end_date.
Something like end_date is today, and start_date smaller than today.
Does that help you get started?

Could you potentially share your calendar translation files in the content\languages\plugins folder which don’t seem to work?
Also can you try what happens if you copy these files:
wp-content\plugins\events-calendar-pro\lang\tribe-events-calendar-pro-es_ES.po and .mo
wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\lang\the-events-calendar-es_ES.po and .mo
to:
the wp-content\languages\plugins folder?

It is not mapped to one specific field. The location search utilizes the Google Maps API so most of what is happening there is driven by google maps. So if you have a venue address for your event that is recognized by google maps, then the search should find it.
I just checked “Unit 11 Apex Court Almondsbury Park, Birmingham B15 1AS United Kingdom” on google maps and it couldn’t make any of it. So that is likely why the search for this doesn’t work.
I also ran a check for “Gymmix, Karlskrona, Blekinge 371 31 Sweden” and it gave me an exact location, and it also works on your site when I search for Karlskrona.
Try to make sure that the venue details you enter also work on Google Maps, and then the search on the page should work as well.

I can understand that in your case it is important to show the granting agencies what happened with their money.
I’m not sure how many nonprofits need to report back. Certainly this is the first case for me.
What I can do for you is check if it would be quick to do a custom code that would show you the past events, if there are no upcoming events in a category. Would that help?
there could be an option for events categories to show all events, but in reverse chronological order, with the most recent at the top
This needs some clarification. You want to see the most recent (event from tomorrow or this week) at the top, of the one furthest in the future? I’m sure any of the 2 would be possible with a bit of customization.
But what you say above also does not solve the problem of categories with no future events generating errors in the Google Search Console, does it?
I’m not quite sure how GSC works so cannot give you a definite answer. If the result page is empty, then likely you are going to get an error. If it has any content – past or future events or anything else – then it is likely going to be OK.

(1) Our tickets, that are sent out to the buyers have QR codes. These can be scanned with any QR code reader app. The QR code will take you to a url that basically checks in the ticket owner.
(3) To be able to do that, the guy who is scanning the QR code needs to be logged in to the admin area of the website. The user doesn’t need to have administrative privileges, a Contributor can do that as well.
(2) Yes, 2 ticket admins can be logged in at the same time. I believe it is better if they use a different account though.
