    Summary of the case:

    In the last release (4.6) changes were made to the the-events-calendar\common\src\Tribe\JSON_LD\Abstract.php file, which breaks the filter ‘tribe_json_ld_event_object’.

    As a result the position of the filter and a few bits have changed in version 4.6 and filtering no longer works.

    A bugreport is already on file and we’ll aim to resolve this as quickly as we can.

    A workaround for the time being is to use the Abstract.php from 4.5.x.

    Hello Mary,

    Thanks for reaching out and I’m sorry to hear that recurring events doesn’t seem to work.

    Could you please share with me more details on what is not working exactly? We might be able to find a solution. The more details you can give me the better.

    What parts of Gantry are you using? Are those publicly available so I can run some tests?

    Is it the Gantry Framework plugin causing issues or is it the Protean theme?

    Looking forward to helping you with this.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Israel welcome back,

    I’d be happy to help you solve that issue.

    Can you let me know in detail

    1. which page you are starting from,
    2. where that url is you are clicking
    3. where does it take you
    4. where do you want to be taken

    Does this also happen when you use a default theme like twentyseventeen?

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Preethi,

    Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums! I’d be happy to help you out with fixing the issues.

    As for the first issue where ticket meta data is overwritten when a new ticket of the same time is added to the cart: we are aware of this and one of our developers is already looking into the issue. This is a rather complicated one, so it might take some time. We are aware that this is affecting a lot of users, so we’re trying to get this solved as soon as possible. I ask for your patience.

    when refreshing the page […] the ticket quantity is increased by 1 for each refresh made.

    I have checked this with my test site. This only happens for me right after I’m taken to the cart. When I hit refresh then I also see a pop message from the browser whether I want to resend the data again. If I hit ‘Cancel’ nothing happens. If I hit ‘Resend’ then the number of tickets (and the total amount) does get updated.

    However if I navigate away, then go back to the cart and hit refresh, then this doesn’t happen any more.

    This is normal browser behavior, but I will check with the team if that is something we will address in a future update.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Craig,

    Thanks for reaching out! Sorry about this glitch. Let me try to help you with this.

    I checked your site and all seems to show fine. Can you share with me some screenshots or a direct link to the page where this is happening?

    Or do you mean this?

    This is the opening month view of September of your calendar. What you see there as Wednesday 30th is greyed out as it belongs to August. September started on Friday.

    Looking forward to helping you solve this mystery. 🙂

    Hello Galen,

    Thanks for going Pro and welcome to the forums! I can help you out with this.

    If you don’t have a setting for that in your theme, then try adding this little snippet to your theme’s (preferably child theme’s) style.css file:

    #tribe-events-footer .tribe-events-sub-nav {
    display: block;
    }

    That should make the navigation links in the bottom appear.

    Does this do the trick?

    Cheers,

    Hello Russell,

    Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!

    Sorry about this logging issue. I can try to help you solve this.

    Based on the error message it looks like you don’t have access to the /tmp directory on your server. This can be 2 cases:

    • either the /tmp directory doesn’t exist – this usually resides in the root folder of your server
    • or you (your site) doesn’t have privileges to write to this directory. With privileges -755 you should be able to work with this folder already.

    If you don’t know what these mean, then your hosting provider should be able to help you out with this.

    Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Dear Keith,

    Thank you for reaching out!

    I’m sorry about the delay in the reply. We are a bit overloaded at the moment due to unexpected sicknesses in the team. We are doing our best to work through the incoming requests as soon as possible, and we definitely try to keep our promise of replying to every post within 24-48 hours as per our support guidelines, just like in your case.

    I have tested the event url you shared with me with all the browsers (recent versions) I have on hand (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Edge, Safari for Windows) and I succeeded in submitting and RSVP in all cases without any issues.

    Are you still experiencing the issue or did you manage to solve it somehow? Did you change anything in the setup?

    If the issue still exists, does it also happen when you deactivate WooCommerce? Does it happen with a non-beta WooCommerce?

    Looking forward to helping you solve this.

    Cheers,

    Hello Harry,

    Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry about the issues you are having, let me try to help you solve them.

    I tested the urls provided and yes, it looks like they do show more events in the import then needed. I believe that comes from the url itself, it looks like Event Aggregator doesn’t like this format of category filtering.

    I have checked with this url and it seemed to work fine. Give it a try and let me know the results.

    http://www.uws.edu/events/category/continuing-education/

    This is the nice url form of category filtering. It ends with the category slug.

    1. A number of the events that show on the calendar to not show on the import preview. Oct 7 Event: UWS CAMPUS – SACRO OCCIPITAL… does not show up on either of the import attempts.

    When I checked the urls for importing that Oct 7 event showed up in all the previews for me. I didn’t see an issue there.

    Check with the “new” url I gave you and let me know if it’s still hiding.

    2. If I change the refine to CE Physician, the calendar returns essentially the same information, however the import brings in substantially different set.

    How do you change the filter? What url do you try to import that gives such a different result set?

    When I tested this:

    http://www.uws.edu/events/category/ce-physician/

    then it gave me 5 events in the preview.

    Also it would be nice to be able to pull their entire future calendar instead of limiting to 90 days.

    This is absolutely possible. We have recently introduced a new setting that sets an automatic limit on imports in order not to overload your system and our servers with superfluous requests.

    You can find this setting under Events > Settings >  Imports tab > Global Import Settings section where you can set the import limit type and the limit itself, or you can remove any limitations, if you’d like. This is not recommended as this can cause issues in case there are too many events that need to be imported.

    If an event is not getting imported, then it also makes sense to check if you have already imported that event before and put it on the “Ignored” list. When you go to your event list page on the back-end you should see an “Ignored” label at the top, like in this screenshot.

    Let me know how the import goes and we’ll work from there.

    Hi Palmtree,

    I tested Barry’s code and it works. I see you did some adjustment to it and likely that is the cause.

    This is a mixed code of php and javascript, so that is why some things might look unusual. Make sure that you copy the code Barry provided as it is.

    Specifically the beginning:

    echo <<<HTML

    and the end

    </script>
    HTML;
    }, 1000 );

    Does that do the trick?

    Hello Israel,

    Awesome that you have reached out to us with your question! Let me help you with that.

    … if I could manage to make it work through WooCommerce

    There is no built-in option for this feature, but the following article should help you get started: Selling Tickets from the WooCommerce Product Page

    Now that it’s fully configured product in WooCommerce, I could use a product Bundle plugin from which I could sell ticket bundles.

    There are plenty of plugins our there which you can use for creating product bundles for WooCommerce products. Since our tickets are handled as normal WooCommerce products all of them should be compatible.

    Here are a couple of examples:

    Product Bundles

    WC Product Bundles

    Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Hello Gordon,

    Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!

    I’m sorry you are experiencing this issue. It looks like there might be a conflict with something.

    As a first step I’d like to ask you to go through our conflict testing guide and check if that brings anything to the surface.

    Let me know and we’ll continue from there.

    Cheers,
    Andras
