KeymasterIan,
Glad that worked for you! I’m not sure exactly what the reasoning is behind that behavior either. I’m guessing it was an attempt to keep it out of the way of the calendar and filter controls below.
Please let us know if you have any other questions or issues in the future.
Thanks,

KeymasterThanks for trying that step. I would like to rule out a conflict with your theme or other plugins. If you do not have a staging site, you can use a plugin like WP Staging to create a quick clone of your site to test on. Then follow the steps in our Testing for Conflict Guide to see if you can recreate the problem with all other plugins disabled and the Twenty Seventeen theme enabled.
Also, I see that you are using a caching plugin. Please make sure that you are clearing the site cache after making the changes.
Thanks,

KeymasterJames,
I had someone else take a look at your issue, and they pointed out something that may be the cause of the problem. According to your system information, the “PHP Timezone” is set to “America/Chicago.” By default in WordPress, this is configured using the UTC +/- format. The Events Calendar relies on this to be configured this way, as the other method can create problems. This is not the same thing as the WordPress Timezone settings, or the Events Calendar settings. Sometimes plugins will alter this for whatever reason, and this is a big cause for plugins being incompatible with the Events Calendar plugins. It is also possible to change this setting on the server in the php.ini file. But this is less likely than the first possibility.
If it is a plugin that is changing this configuration, it is possible that any event that is created while that plugin is active may not behave as expected. So, this is the suggestion I was given: try creating a test event that spans the same time and recurrence as the problem event, but while all other plugins are inactive and using the twenty seventeen theme. Also, use UTC format for both the global WordPress settings and the individual event settings.
Give that a try, and see if it changes anything.
Thanks,
SkySky
KeymasterHi Ian,
The logic that makes the datepicker go up or down is determined within the javascript, and it would be difficult to override. What you can do however, is adjust the CSS of the datepicker to make sure it is above your header. Try adding this CSS snippet to your site.
.datepicker.dropdown-menu { z-index: 1000!important; }
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,

KeymasterChuck,
Thank you for reporting your experience here with us. I’m sorry to hear of your frustrations with the plugin.
Can you try rolling back to version 4.6.11.1 of the Events Calendar plugin and see if this indeed “fixes” the issue? I’m not suggesting this as the “fix” but would like to verify that the problem is present only in the latest update.
Thanks,

KeymasterJennifer,
There is not yet a bug report filed for this issue. Before I can file a ticket, I need to be able to confirm the behavior. The first step to do this would be to verify that the behavior is occurring with all other plugins deactivated and the Twenty Seventeen theme enabled.
Can you please give this a shot and let me know if the issue is indeed still there after performing the steps in our Testing for Conflicts Guide?
Thanks,

KeymasterHi,
Yeah, those settings do not look correct. The first event screenshot shows it creating another occurrence, then immediately canceling it out. The second is a single event that spans two days. I’m guessing the redirect to “all” happens when there is only a single event in a series, which should not technically be in a series.
Let’s start with having the events setup correctly, and then see what the behavior is. You can read more about setting up recurring events in this knowledgebase article.
For testing, you can switch the status on the existing events to “pending” or “draft” while you try to create the new series to replace it.
Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
SkySky

KeymasterHi again,
I see. That is indeed strange. While the first in the series redirects to “all” the second goes to the proper URL.
Can you upload a screenshot of the “date and time” and “event series” settings for this event?
Thanks,
SkySky
KeymasterDave,
Can you upload a screenshot of the Eventbrite settings in one of the events that is not showing the purchase form?
Thanks!
Sky
