ParticipantJust updated plugin and now all our “next event” links go to old event. I thought the old event was the issue so I went in and deleted and it’s just been replaced with another old event.
Ideas?

KeymasterHi Jennifer!
That is really strange!
Usually when I encounter issues with the order of posts being out of whack, it is due to settings or a conflict in another plugin. Have you gone through the steps in our Testing for Conflicts Guide to make sure this is not the case? If you don’t have a staging site, you can use a plugin like WP Staging to create a copy of your site to test with.
If you switch to the Twenty Seventeen theme and disable all the non events calendar plugins, do you still see the same results?
Thanks,

ParticipantHi,
probably you solved by yourself, but I faced same issue, and if you look at last update (4.6.12) changelog, they wrote following lines in the lists of changes they’ve made:* Tweak – Improved performance by reducing the number of queries that run in single event pages (in relation to tribe_get_prev_event_link() and tribe_get_next_event_link() specifically) [94587]
Me, you and other people realized that they introduced a bug.
For now, I rolled-back The Events Calendar to previous version (4.6.11.1) and the issue is not present more. To roll back I used this useful plugin: ‘WP Rollback’.
Have a nice day

Participant@romakoinonia – thanks for the info. I haven’t yet used the rollback plugin but I guess I will need to until this problem is fixed.
To Help Desk – any idea when there will be an update to fix this bug? I prefer not to run the older versions of your plugin if I can help it but I need the next event feature to work or at minimum I need it deleted as an option from the page (so that the user’s only option would be to go back to the main “all events” list.

KeymasterJennifer,
There is not yet a bug report filed for this issue. Before I can file a ticket, I need to be able to confirm the behavior. The first step to do this would be to verify that the behavior is occurring with all other plugins deactivated and the Twenty Seventeen theme enabled.
Can you please give this a shot and let me know if the issue is indeed still there after performing the steps in our Testing for Conflicts Guide?
Thanks,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
