Robert, did you use the WP menu manager events panel to add the link?

Thanks for posting the answer Brian!
Shane PearlmanMemberHey Brian,
I asked john, one of our devs to reply.
Shane PearlmanMemberNo worries. Good luck with tweaking it. I’m trying to gather a list of recommended freelancers to help, so let me know if you can’t find someone. (don’t have any people to refer yet).
Shane PearlmanMember@Moif – we can’t do infinite recursions as that would break your database! 999 is the max. I had written that you could do what andrew suggested with css, but when I checked to confirm, it turns out we forgot to add id/classes to those elements in the single event view. I have opened an issue and they will be added in the next release.
For the time being, the way to do it would be to create a custom template (rob is putting a tutorial together next week) and comment out that code. Basically, the short form is to create a new folder called “events” in your theme and copy the single.php in views into the new events folder you made in your theme. Then make the changes there.
October 14, 2011 at 10:50 am in reply to: Different Events URL slug and Single Event URL slug cause issue with breadcrumbs #9694Shane PearlmanMemberAre you building the breadcrumbs manually or with a plugin. The separate slug (event vs events) is default behavior for a custom post type in WordPress.
Shane PearlmanMemberNo one has ever asked that before. Let me as one of the devs and see if they have an easy solution.
Shane PearlmanMemberHey Rob,
Lets start a new thread for a license issue if it continues. That message basically means it could not reach our server. Are you developing locally and are offline or behind some kind of firewall? I just tested it and was able to validate. Can you try again?
Shane PearlmanMemberMary this error looks like you have a custom template in your theme. Is that from a previous version or just a happenstance? If you temporarily rename the events folder in your theme, does the issue still happen?
Shane PearlmanMemberGlad that worked!
We’ll look into what is generating those warning in good time. Typically, you should not have php output any errors or warning on a live site as it is a security risk. Just a heads up.
Shane PearlmanMemberNo problem Larry.
a few approaches:
Lets try this first.
1. Log into this site
2. Under account central, visit downloads
3. Download the pro plugin again
4. try the install with the new download following Rob’s video walkthrough (https://theeventscalendar.com/downloading-installing-activating-the-events-calendar-2-0-pro-2-0/)If that doesn’t work, then:
1: Unzip the PRO download you got earlier today
2. Open that folder and you should see two folder in it, of which only one is the PRO plugin
3. Zip that folder
4. Follow the direction in the video above.as a third option:
WordPress codex has a nice walkthrough on manual installs (what Mary and Birgit did) http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation
Shane PearlmanMemberAhh – that is what is happening. Thanks Birgit.
The open source repo was not updating this morning and therefor for a few hours we had packaged both together. As soon as wordpress.org updated we went back to just offer pro in the download.
If you unzip the download and grab just the pro version that should work fine.
Shane PearlmanMemberok – so to be clear – with all plugins turned off and the 2011 theme turned on, you still get this issue?
Shane PearlmanMemberThanks Christina, can you email them to [email protected]?
October 13, 2011 at 1:33 pm in reply to: Importing existing events from the previous version of The Event Calendar? #9652Shane PearlmanMemberDefinitely! Rob is working on a video to help demonstrate that, but in the meantime, we have a basic explanation in the FAQ.
