MemberHey Andreas! Thanks for reaching out here, and for your interest in finding a ticketing plugin that integrates nicely with your Events Calendar PRO setup 🙂 I’m happy to provide my two cents here.
I think right off the bat you WooCommerce Tickets might be a good place to start…simply because WooCommerce itself is extremely popular/quite user-friendly/has a huge community surrounding it. That’s not to say it’s better than WPEC or Shopp or EDD, but if you’re looking for a lot of supplemental resources/add-ons to extend the commerce engine’s functionality/etc, it’s where a lot of users in the same boat get started.
Also: since it sounds like most/all of your events are offline and in the “real world,” EDD Tickets may not be the best fit. EDD Tickets is generally associated with digital products…so if you need things like stock management and don’t plan on offering digital/downloadable products in the future, the EDD commerce engine might not provide what you need. Then again, if that’s not a concern for you or if you don’t think the commerce engine will be used for anything beyond ticket sales, that might be a non-issue.
I hope that helps! If it didn’t, or if you’d like further detail here, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

MemberHello Simon! Thanks for your note here, and for your interest in our plugin. Happy to answer these questions for you best I can:
A) While I’ve not heard of any specific integration problems with any of those themes you mentioned here, a good way to test this would be to install the free The Events Calendar (http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/) in the theme of your choosing. Since that plugin is the basis of Events Calendar PRO (PRO is just an add-on that extends TEC), the changes are high that if the free version works, PRO will too – and it allows you to test without having to put out any money upfront.
B) Yes, it looks like we do have a set of German translation files in the plugin! While we can’t vouch for the accuracy of them – all translation files are provided by users of the plugin, we don’t compile them ourselves – we’re always happy to make updates if someone reports a problem.
C) I believe my answer to question A) should address this one. Let me know if not.
D) The plugin does integrate with WooCommerce, to the extent that it facilitates our WooCommerce Tickets add-on (https://theeventscalendar.com/shop/wordpress-wootickets/). That allows you to use WooCommerce to attach ticket sales to your individual events.I hope this helps shed some light on things! If you have further questions please don’t hesitate to let us know.

MemberHey Scott. Thanks for the note here, and for your interest in purchasing PRO. I’m sorry to hear about your frustrating experience with the free version thus far.
Realistically, it’d probably make sense to get whatever issues you’re encountering in TEC sorted before buying PRO. I say this because they are ultimately the same codebase – rather than being an entirely separate plugin, PRO is simply an add-on that extends the functionality of TEC. To that end, it’s likely that something broken in the free version would also be borked in PRO.
However, it sounds like what you’re facing might be a legitimate bug – we do a lot of our testing on the WordPress stock themes (Twenty Eleven through Twenty Fourteen) and if something is broken in one of those themes, we generally view that as a bug we want to patch ourselves. Have you posted about this on the WordPress.org forums for The Events Calendar (http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar)? We’d definitely be down to try and get it sorted there if so, to give you full confidence before buying PRO.
Hope that helps. Let me know if it doesn’t, or if you have other questions here.

MemberHey again Christopher: as I noted in the other thread, we’re a bit short staffed today so replies are taking longer than normal. Expect a follow-up from us early Monday here when the whole team is back in action. Thanks!
Rob
MemberNo worries about posting this in the wrong forum, christopherdill 🙂 I’ve moved it over to the WooCommerce Tickets one now.
Just wanted to give you a heads up that we’ve received this, but pretty much all of the support team is out today besides me. I’m jumping in to let you know that I have prioritized this for the team when everyone is back Monday, and we’ll get you a response ASAP at that time.
My apologies for the delay, and thanks for your patience in the interim. We’ll do our best to point you in the right direction here next week!

March 21, 2014 at 1:58 pm in reply to: Events under tag are not remving after removing from a particular tag. #121938Rob
MemberHey there nysci. Thanks for the note here – I just tried to recreate this and was unable to. I followed these steps:
1. Created an event and added a tag called “animals.” Published that event, viewed it on the frontend and confirmed that the tag showed on the individual event entry (and that the event showed up on the tag page).
2. Went back to the entry, removed the “animals” tag and resaved. The tag no longer appeared on the frontend single event entry, and the event no longer showed under the tag loop on the frontend either.I notice you’re still on plugin version 3.2.1 and WordPress 3.6.1; those are both quite a few releases behind. Any reason you haven’t updated to the latest codebase? Based on my testing it seems like it’d go a good way towards getting this fixed. Let me know if you’re able to give that a shot.

MemberHi, amandaveeenhuis! Thanks for the note here, as well as your patience so far – pretty much the whole support team is out today and so threads are taking longer than normal to get addressed. I just wanted to let you know that we’ve received this and I’ve got it as a top priority ticket for one of our more dev-savvy support folks when everyone is back on Monday.
My sincere apologies for the delay and inconvenience in the interim. Please let us know if you need anything else between now and then.

March 21, 2014 at 12:02 pm in reply to: Event duplicating even though it is correct in admin #121907Rob
MemberHey there akent64. Thanks for the report here! I just checked this out and it looks like the issue here is in how the event is configured. For example, that link you shared – it looks like that single event entry is set up to run from March 18 – April 15 (I say that because of what I see here: https://cloudup.com/cHJMRyGwOXY). But in reality, you’d want the event to be on March 18 (start date AND end date), and set it up to recur from there until April 15.
Does the distinction between these two make sense – that one is a multi-day single event, versus the other is a single event set to recur on multiple days? The latter is what you need to go with to avoid that duplication issue.
Let me know if I’m misunderstood here or if this doesn’t help and we’ll do our best to get you sorted from there.

MemberHey Sean! Thanks for the note here; that’s a solid idea, and while I can’t guarantee it’s doable, I wouldn’t be surprised if there were a snippet or something similar we could share with you. That said: pretty much everyone on the team other than myself is out today. So while I’ve asked my colleague Casey to take a look at this when he can, I want to set expectations that it’ll unfortunately probably not be until Monday.
Apologies for the delay and thanks for your patience in the interim.

MemberHey pedrorivera. Thanks for the report on this, and my apologies for the inconvenience you’ve faced so far. That sounds totally bizarre…and begs the question: what changed about your site to cause this? Were there any updates applied, even to things that might not appear at face value to be related to our plugins (ie a theme modification, a core WP update or an update to another plugin)?
