MemberHey Rich! Thanks for this. Sorry that we haven’t yet had a chance to reply on our end; I saw the email where you referenced this, though, and wanted to get back to you.
Here are the frontend manual filter options I’m aware of:
* Category
* Venue
* Recurrence (ie, all instances in a given recurrence pattern)But it sadly isn’t possible to merge those given the current architecture, without hacking at the plugin pretty hard. That said: if you were interested in trying the beta for the filters bar, might it help give you an idea of where we’re going?
Let me know. We’re dang near beta-ready for that and if it goes smoothly through the beta process, we’ll launch fairly shortly thereafter.

MemberLooks like I re-opened the wrong thread as alluded to in our exchange. Re-opening this one for you Jonathan, and closing the other 🙂 Cheers.
Rob
MemberClosing this. Opened the wrong one.

MemberExcellent to hear you were able to confirm as much, notionist. I’ll leave this thread open for a while yet so you can let me know if the issue persists. We’ll do what we can to get you sorted when/if it does.
Rob
MemberExcellent to hear. That is indeed the source of the problem then. Know that relief is coming 🙂
Thanks for your patience so far.
Rob
MemberGlad to be of service, and sorry we couldn’t offer up more at this time. Know that we’ve got you covered in the very near future. Please let us know what else we can do.

MemberHey JD! Thanks for the note here. On this one: the countdown widget at the moment actually doesn’t include any styling. So themers will want to style it as they see fit. In terms of how that’s done, you’d want to override the template in your own theme by creating a file at [your-theme]/tribe-events/widgets/countdown-widget.php. You should be able to make your changes from there.
That help?

MemberHey there karen. Thanks for the note here. Is it possible you have day view disabled, when attempting to do this? If so – that’s indeed an issue with the current release. You can temporarily fix it by re-enabling day view; and we should have a more graceful solution for folks who DON’T use day view in a forthcoming release as well.
Let me know if that’s not the circumstance in which this issue rears its head, and I can keep looking into it for you. Cheers.

MemberHey web2market. Apologies that this one slipped through the cracks; we failed you there and I’m committed to getting you help here in as timely a fashion as possible. I just checked out the link you provided, though, and it doesn’t work. Any chance you can resend that? I’m unable to recreate this locally so would like to see what’s up on your environment.
Thanks in advance!

MemberHey there jeataylor! Yes, this one is unfortunately a known bug in the current codebase. See this thread for more context: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/nextprevious-month-links-do-not-work-with-category/. We’re working on a patch for the forthcoming release and really appreciate your patience in the interim. Please let us know if you need anything else!
Rob
MemberFantastic! Thanks, Andy!

MemberHey there notionist. This isn’t doable particularly easily using the built in “URL” option for Additional Fields, but there’s a trick that should work for you here and is pretty easy. If you set up “URL” or “Website” field, but select TEXT instead of URL as the type, it’ll allow you to write your URLs as basic HTML.
This means you can add something like http://d.pr/i/dHpYÂ on the backend, and it’ll publish on the frontend as “CNN” (http://d.pr/i/wR2E).
That help?
Rob
MemberThis is awesome! Thanks for posting it, Rob.

MemberThat’s a really good question, soulofyoga, and I’m sorry it’s outside of my technical area of expertise to address. I’ve got another member of the team who is more dev-minded than myself on deck to take a look and get back to you here. Thanks for your patience so far.

MemberHey accessrose. Thanks for the note here; this is indeed an issue with the latest Events code when running on WordPress 3.6. We’ve got a fix awaiting deployment in our next release – and in the interim you should be able to fix it with this snippet in your functions.php (https://gist.github.com/jazbek/6169607) as a temporary workaround.
Hope that helps and thanks for your patience so far. Let me know if you need anything else here.
