MemberHey Heather! You should be able to do exactly that, yes. I don’t even think you’d need to copy the old PRO folder unless you want it as a backup. If you rename that to something else and then attempt to upload the 3.0.5 PRO folder it should work smoothly.
Keep in mind you’ll also need the latest core The Events Calendar, too. That’s at 3.0.3 as of today and I’d recommend upgrading that one before doing PRO.
Hope that helps. Let me know if it doesn’t, or if you have other questions here.

MemberHi there martinhca. Thanks for the follow-up. Is it possible the settings to have the map enabled (under Events -> Settings) became unchecked? I can’t view the site at the link you provide (looks to be behind a countdown timer), but I want to get this sorted for you. Let me know about that question above and I’ll do my best to advise from there.

MemberGood suggestion, Andy. Might that help materdeiknights? Is there anything else you need from us on this point for now?

MemberExcellent! Thanks for confirming, and for your support 🙂

MemberHey Gould, since this was originally a separate ticket…mind creating a new one with your issue, if the problem does persist?

MemberHi Jen! It sounds like you’ve followed most of the process properly. Did you create a tribe-events folder in the theme directory and drop it straight in there, or did you create the tribe-events/pro route as outlined in the override instructions within the original php file? Could that be the cause of your troubles here?

MemberFunctions.php is indeed the appropriate location, given our current architecture. Thanks for confirming!

MemberHey Cynthia. Thanks for this, and apologies it slipped past us. Let me get Barry from the team to take a look here and see if he can point you in the right direction. Really appreciate your patience on this end so far.

MemberHey tomb1800. Thank you for this note, and my apologies that we failed to address it in a timely fashion. We dropped the ball for you here.
I am indeed seeing the problem at your site there. Any chance you could provide a screenshot of how the venue is configured under the saved venue settings? Essentially this screen (http://d.pr/i/hRPA), but as fully configured on your end? I’m unable to recreate the problem locally so I’m interested in following your steps exactly.

MemberHey tmbond, totally! I can’t convert a post from Private to Public, but here it is copied/pasted for the benefit of anyone who needs it:
I had put the Div tag for “tribe-events-loop hfeed vcalendar”, which was where I added style = “background-color:#e2e2e2″; width:960px;. The post removed those, probably because they were encased in a div tag. But here’s giving you an idea of what I was explaining.
Thanks again for your follow-up!

MemberHey there kgemmell. Thanks for the note here, and apologies for the inconvenience you’ve faced so far. Unfortunately this is a known bug in the current release as per this thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/nextprevious-month-links-do-not-work-with-category/.
We’re working to get it fixed for ideally our next monthly maintenance build, which should be out in the coming weeks. We’ll let you guys know once it’s been released and if anyone has any problems after upgrading, please post a new thread and we’ll work with you to get it sorted.

MemberHi there Renee. I’m so sorry this one slipped by; we totally failed you here. It looks like you’ve since gotten this sorted, am I correct? I visited the link provided there and did not see the issue – your sidebar looked fine – but let me know if I’m misunderstood.
If the issue does indeed persist, I’ll do my best to get you sorted in as timely a fashion as possible. Thanks again for your patience so far.

MemberMelissa: thank you for this note, and my apologies that we let it slip by. We’ve failed you here and I wanted to follow-up now to try my best towards getting things back on track.
I was thinking about your problem here and I can see your reasoning. What about something like: setting those events that are ongoing as a separate category for the time being, and then having the widget filter to show events from a category other than that one? This way you could have all the events you DO want to show in one category, which would be called in by the widget. And the events you don’t want shown would be excluded from the widget but still available as part of the broader calendar.
Might that meet your needs? Let me know if not.
