MemberHey Daniella. Thanks for the follow-up; my apologies but I’m not sure Barry saw your reply. He’s only operating with us at about 1/2 capacity this week but we’ll definitely get you a reply here over the next 24-hours. Thanks for your patience so far.

MemberTotally! You should be able to do it by just creating a custom single-event.php template. Are you familiar with the override process, and copying to a tribe-events folder in your theme directory so you can make the appropriate changes?

MemberHi there britishactionacademy. I apologize we failed to get you a reply in a timely fashion here. I just checked this issue out and it looks like, at least as for the default search view, there has been some discussion of that already at: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/event-search-results-a-default-view/. I’d suggest if nothing else making your voice heard at the UserVoice forum.
You raise an interesting point about searching through event text instead of titles. To be honest limiting to titles was an intentional decision because it seemed like there might be too much in terms of unwanted results if you made it so open-ended. Can I possibly get some more information for you as to your possible use case in which this would be valuable, to help me make a case for it to the team?
August 19, 2013 at 12:59 pm in reply to: How do I apply standard post categories to an event? #61214Rob
MemberHello there thisismarkc. I’m so sorry we failed to get you a reply here; this one must have slipped through the cracks and I’m really sorry about that. Now that it’s on the radar I’m here to help you get it sorted.
That said: this one admittedly may be a bit outside our control. The events themselves are just custom post types, and the event categories are a custom taxonomy we created to support them. What’s the widget? A third-party one, or something built into WordPress?
If not, might TAGS work? Unlike event categories, our plugin’s tagging is just reliant on WordPress’ general tagging structure. So it should be able to pull those in unless I’m misunderstood as to your main goal here.
Let me know your thoughts and I’ll try to advise you better from there. Thanks for your patience in the interim.

MemberHello again gregoiregarneau! It appears there were a few threads of yours we missed. Now that they’re on the radar, I’m here to help you sort them in as timely a fashion as possible.
I may need some more clarification from you here, though. Are you just trying to add a list of categories to appear for forthcoming events? Or are you saying, replace the next/previous event links (from within a given view) to “next/previous event from this category”?

MemberHello sikusaka! Thanks for this note, and my apologies that we failed to get you a reply in a timely fashion here. Know we’re committed to getting this addressed for you.
Regarding the post-per-page limit: does this occur when you use the built-in limit we have for the Events loops? Under the Events -> General, as per http://d.pr/i/CRyL ? Let me know if this is an issue specific to the snippet you’re using or if I’m misunderstood here.
Rob
MemberAny thoughts here David? Were you able to make sense of the suggestions provided by Barry there?

MemberHi gregoiregarneau. We dropped the ball on getting you a reply here in a timely fashion; I apologize. I’m here to help you get this addressed.
What view are you trying to remove this from? The individual entry, or a specific high-level view like MONTH?

August 19, 2013 at 12:37 pm in reply to: custom recurrence description not filled in or displayed #61202Rob
MemberHi folks. Thanks for reporting this on both ends, and my apologies that this slipped through the cracks. 10 days for an official reply is totally unacceptable and we’re sorry about that. Please know that we’re actively building out the team so it won’t occur again.
This is an odd issue, since I just tested locally using the official latest releases (3.0.3 TEC / 3.0.5 PRO) and I can confirm that on a Twenty Twelve install it works fine. Here’s what I’m seeing: http://d.pr/i/wLWu. Could your theme be responsible here, or something else that might be obscuring the existing automated/default tooltips?

MemberHey Robin, we have indeed had a handful of Genesis integration issues (which I assume you’re aware of via the discussions in subsequent threads). Going to close this since it’s been a couple weeks of inactivity but let me know if you’re still stuck.
Rob
MemberExcellent! Thanks for confirming, Herb, and for your interest. If we can do anything else down the road please let us know!
