ParticipantHi,
When the mini-calendar links to a reoccurring event, it displays the original event the reoccurrence was built from, not the one for that particular date. Thanks,

ParticipantAny chance of someone looking into this?
Thanks,August 16, 2013 at 2:11 pm #60828Rob
MemberHey web2market. Apologies that this one slipped through the cracks; we failed you there and I’m committed to getting you help here in as timely a fashion as possible. I just checked out the link you provided, though, and it doesn’t work. Any chance you can resend that? I’m unable to recreate this locally so would like to see what’s up on your environment.
Thanks in advance!

MemberYup 🙂 We’ve been training up a new batch of support staff this week and should have things back to regular next week, but until then things are a bit rough going on the support side. Appreciate your patience as we work through this.
It looks like you’re still running Events 2.0.11, which is actually a few releases behind at this point. I was thinking that this could be an issue related to that fact…but what’s odd is that I just tested locally in the same environment you note here (just the plugin on a stock installation, pretty similar to what I see when visiting your site). When I do and when I click into a recurring event instance, it takes me to the correct URL (the specific instance of that event, rather than the base event from the recurrence pattern).
It also seems like on your site, once I toggle forward to September, clicking an instance of a recurring event takes me to the correct entry (try it with the traditional market on 9/28). Couple of issues that could be at play here:
* Is it possible your version of The Events Calendar is not consistent with your version of PRO? IE, that PRO is still on 2.0.11 but core is on either 2.0.10 or somewhere in the 3.x range?
* Have you customized the widget, the plugin or the theme in any way that? (If so and if you’re in a position to temporarily strip out those customizations, it’d be good)
* Upgrading to 3.0 should help. We totally rebuilt the widget to something far more robust for 3.0, and while I can’t guarantee it’ll fix this issue since I’m unable to recreate the problem locally to begin with, things should be functional by virtue of having the new / improved version.Let me know your thoughts from there. Admittedly, it’s a bit tough to diagnose since we’re not seeing other reports and cannot recreate. My only other thought is that it might be a WP 3.5.1 issue; the last version we tested on with 2.0.11 was I believe 3.5.2, so it’s very possible a small change in that build could fix the problem. (It’s somewhat unlikely, but worth a shot).
Let me know and I’ll make a point of not letting this one slip through again, so I can get you replies in as timely a fashion as possible. Thanks again for your patience so far.

ParticipantAs you saw it the Pro and TEC versions were both 2.0.11, the template was 2011 and was using no templates that modify the plugin. The only code amends I’m aware of commented out some of the display stuff from the list and single page(venue on both of them).
I’ve upgraded WP to 3.6, which made no difference.
So, I upgrade both the core and Pro to the latest version, and well, now nothing is showing….?

MemberHi Mark,
It looks like your calendar widget is the regular WordPress calendar – can you switch it out for the Events Calendar widget and check to see if you’re still facing problems now that you’ve upgraded?
Thanks!

ParticipantYou’re right, bizarre, I presume it replaced it on upgrade….
Anyway, it does seem to be ok now, kinda….it looks nothing like it used to?

MemberThe whole suite of widgets went through some considerable changes – hopefully it will make them more flexible and provide an updated look and feel – as always the capability to tweak or replace them remains 🙂

ParticipantIs it possible to get the small pop-up/mouseover window on the mini-calendar for events on that date back?
August 29, 2013 at 6:41 am #63581Barry
MemberDefinitely possible, but it would involve a more complicated customization than we can help you with here. As always though if you feel strongly about the need for something like tooltips you are more than welcome to post a feature request:

Since it sounds like everything is now operating as expected however I’ll go ahead and close this ticket – if you disagree/need support for any other aspects of the plugin then please do just create new threads as needed 🙂
