MemberThanks Cynthia. Bruce – that alter things for you in any way? Still looking into the issue on your site and should have some thoughts over the next day.

MemberThanks for the heads up. I’m still looking into this one for you guys and should have something over the next day or so.

MemberHi Tony. Not yet, but we have a plugin that’ll do just this in the works. Probably will be released within the next couple months; if you drop me a note a month out (rob at tri.be) I can give you a status update and hit you with the beta code if it’s available by then.

MemberLooks like the issue with the “Calendar” widget (the grid) is a legit bug; gotten a few reports of it and I was able to recreate it myself. We’re working to get it patched for a future release and should have something very soon that resolves this – my apologies for the inconvenience in the interim.
The list view looks like it’s working fine, right? Just want to make sure.

MemberHi Rona. Thanks for the follow-up. Unfortunately this is a bug with the widget in the initial 2.0 release; we’re working to get it patched for a future 2.0.x release (likely 2.0.2, which we’re pushing to get done for next week) since that widget is pretty key to use. Apologies for the inconvenience in the interim.

MemberHi Karen. You should be able to control the Google Maps’ size under Settings –> The Events Calendar. You can control the heigh & width separately, and both can be either a number (pixels) or percent.
Rob
MemberHi Karen. No dumb questions here! on this, that terminology refers to the directory the theme templates are located in. If you’re using a parent/child theme setup, it means the parent theme. That help?
Rob
MemberHi Miguel! You should be able to change this under Settings –> The Events Calendar. It’d be the line right here: http://cl.ly/0p2x3Y2d2d2w0B0J3r1X.
Hope that helps.
Rob
MemberExcellent! Glad to hear it. Please let me know if you have any other issues going forward and I’ll do what I can to assist with them.
Rob
MemberAh, thanks for confirming. Nothing built in that allows for this but I suspect you could hack it together. Let me check with our dev to see if he has any suggestions.

MemberHey Sebastian. You should be able to modify this in the events.css file; if you know the color you want to change, just scroll through that file and find the appropriate locations, then swap it out accordingly. Remember that you’ll need to do a template override procedure (detailed in the first “Customization” question at our FAQ: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/faqs/) correctly so your work doesn’t get override next time you update the plugin. Hope that helps.

MemberHi Cindy. Which theme settings are you running? We uncovered a bug the other day that keeps the comments box from appearing at all in the Default Page Template. We’re working to get that fixed for a patch release very shortly. Apologies for the inconvenience in the interim.

MemberSure is! If you go into Appearance -> Menus with Events Calendar PRO activated, you should see a section (towards the bottom) for Event Categories. You can plug in just specific categories (or your broader events list) in there.
That help? Let me know if not.
Rob
Member@Chris: Thanks for the follow-up. Before I get the dev involved, are you familiar enough with development to do a template override? The process is detailed in the first question of the “Customization” section right here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/faqs/. That help? Willing to give it a shot? If not, I can see what the dev would suggest. For the individual entry, the file you’d copy/modify is single.php; for the list view problem you initially noted, it’d be list.php. We introduced some widget-related issues with the 2.0 code but should have a patch to take care of that released in 2.0.1 later this week.
@Al: Some folks have successfully integrated GF with 2.0, but it’s by no means stable (per Tim’s note on the walkthrough) with 2.0. We are working on the community events plugin but likely won’t have a stable beta for another month or so. If you email me (rob at tri.be) this time next month, I’ll have a much better idea as to where we stand. Sorry I couldn’t offer up more in the immediate future. -
