MemberThanks Dawn. We’ve had a few requests for this, so sounds like there’s a need for it. Appreciate the heads up.
Rob
MemberThanks Chris, most appreciated. If any other ideas come to mind, we’d love to hear those too. Cheers man.

MemberHi Heather! Thanks for the note. At this point unfortunately neither of these are possible; basically the map integration as it stands is limited to being on an event-by-event basis. We may integrate with a map tool down the road that allows for this (one mashup calendar showing all events in the calendar or in a given category), and we even had our own Geo Tagger plugin out there for a while that has since ceased functionality. But our eventual plan is to rearchitect that so it works nicely with The Events Calendar so you can accomplish this that way.
In the interim, you may be able to find a third-party plugin that can do this. Since events are just a custom post type, a plugin that works for mass mapping regular posts should generally work with Events as well (though no guarantees there). Sorry I couldn’t offer up something more substantive here. Let me know if you have other questions!

MemberHey Ken. Thanks for the follow-up; I’ll get Jonah to take a look and see if he can offer up anything there, too.
Rob
MemberHi Dawn. We can try to help you out here; but, just so I’m clear: you want to create something in list view that allows you to pull in multiple events from different categories? Have you played around with our template tag documentation to see if anything there can point you in the right direction ( at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation )? Let me know if that doesn’t help, and if I’ve misunderstood the request here.
Rob
MemberHeh, all eyes on you Leonard 🙂 No pressure…
Rob
MemberHi Hila. It looks like this got posted twice; I’ve responded in the other thread, so let’s keep the discussion going over there. Thanks!
Rob
MemberAh, excellent. Thanks for confirming. So are you all set here? Just want to make sure; let me know if you need anything else from us.
Rob
MemberHey Christopher. Thanks for reaching out. So you’re saying you just want a dropdown to appear in grid view, right? Something that allows users viewing the grid to drill down to just a specific category (rather than viewing the entire calendar, as occurs by default)? Just want to make sure I’m clear here. We’ve had a few requests for that over the past few days so I want to make sure this relates to that same item. Thanks!
Rob
MemberHey Adam. Thanks for posting this. This is actually a behavior of how the calendar’s RSS feed works now; it is just a basic feed, which – as with any blog – is going to show events based on date of publication (rather than date event is occurring). We’re revisiting this for 2.1 (exploring an actual Event-based feed that displays all info, etc) but at this point it’d require some customization on your end. That being said we recently helped out a user in a similar position: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/how-do-you-make-a-custom-rss-feed-for-upcoming-events/. Might that point you in the right direction?

MemberThanks Lynne. Glad to hear you made some progress on this front; I’ve also asked our dev Jonah to take a look when he hits the forums later today to see if he has any ideas on getting next/previous to show up on single day lists.
Rob
MemberAh, gotcha. Thanks for confirming – let me see if our dev Jonah has any ideas here when he hits the forums today. Stay tuned.
Rob
MemberHey Seth. I’m wondering if this might be fixed in the 2.0.4 code; since we’ve been unable to recreate so far I can’t guarantee it, but if you want to give that a go (either by emailing me for it early or waiting until it’s released later this afternoon) and let me know if the issue persists, we can take another look to see if we can identify any problems from there.
Rob
MemberExcellent! Thanks for confirming, Paul. Glad we were able to help you out here. If you need anything else down the road please let us know.
Rob
MemberHey Maarten. Thanks for reaching out. Have you checked out our template tag documentation ( https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation ) to see if that points you in the right direction? Let me know if not and I can get a dev to take a look as needed. Cheers!
