MemberExcellent! Thanks for the tip, Robert – we’ll review on our end and see if this makes sense to integrate. Appreciate the heads up.
If you need anything else as you keep using the plugin, please let us know. Thanks again for your support.
Rob
MemberThanks Jonah!
Jeff, let us know if you need anything else here.
Rob
MemberAlright. Thanks for confirming. Not sure about this myself, but let me see if our dev Jonah has any ideas when he hits the forum later today. Stay tuned.
Rob
MemberPierre: are you possibly in a position where you can test reverting to the 2011 theme, just to confirm whether or not the issue persists?
Rob
MemberHey Stijn. That could definitely be the cause; I see two issues here: one, that you’re running 2.0.3 when the 2.0.4 release is out and should be activated; and two, that you’ve got the plugins out of sync (2.1 and 2.0.4). I would definitely try this with 2.0.4 active for both free and PRO, to see if the issue persists. Let me know your results and we can go from there.
Rob
MemberThanks Christopher. If you give it a go and find you’re having problems, let us know and I’ll get the dev who put that together to try and troubleshoot.
Rob
MemberAh, gotcha. Thanks for confirming. Let me see if Jonah has any ideas about that last point when he hits the forum later this evening.
Rob
MemberHey Heather. My guess is the problem here is that you’re running the calendars out of sync; you shouldn’t have The Events Calendar 2.1 installed as that is just beta code anyway, and it means you’re running PRO 2.0.4 and free 2.1. You should activate both versions of 2.0.4 together…and let me know if the issue persists from there. We’ll do what we can to assist from there.

MemberHey Jeremy. Thanks for your purchase, and for the note. On your first issue: my guess is, if you’re running 2.0.4 for both the free The Events Calendar and the PRO add-on, that this is almost certainly being caused by a conflict with another plugin or your theme. I saw the site is running rather slow in general…are you in a position where you can test deactivation of other plugins and reverting to the default 2011 theme as needed, to see where the conflict lies?
On the category renaming…best way I can see right off the bat would be to just modify the translation file. Have you considered giving that a go?
Rob
MemberHey Julien. This is unfortunately still an issue; we have it on the radar for 2.1 which we’re working on now. Apologies I couldn’t offer anything more substantive in the short-term.
Rob
MemberHey Beej. We have integration with tags coming in the 2.1 release 🙂 Goal is to have that out by the end of March.
Rob
MemberHey Alex. Thanks for the note. At this point adding thumbnails to the admin page and organizers isn’t possible (though you maybe could hack something together). You may be able to add an image into the venue description but I wouldn’t advise it unless you’re willing to play around with the styling to integrate it.
Regarding “make calendar thumbnails in hover to load the event on click”….not sure I understand this. Can you elaborate?
Rob
MemberHey Armando. Got it; sorry I couldn’t offer up more on this from our end, it’s just that the level of customization is outside of what we’re equipped to handle. Good luck with it though and please let me know if you need anything else.
Rob
MemberHey Joe. If you went from 1.3.3 ->2.0, the events should have carried over automatically upon activation of The Events Calendar (free) 2.0. Was that not the case?
Rob
MemberHey David. Excellent; thanks for confirming. While I’m not sure about this myself, I’ve asked our dev Jonah to take a look when he hits the forum later this evening. I’ll have him chime in with any thoughts he may have from there.
