Hey, TheThe. Thanks for reaching out! At this point, there is no officially-supported Facebook integration. But we’re working to change that. In the interim the closest thing to a Facebook sync out there is this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sync-facebook-events/. We’re working with the author to help improve it, but the currently-live version there doesn’t include any work from our team so may be a bit rough around the edges (and is unsupported by our team at this time).

Hope that helps, and sorry I couldn’t offer up more. If you’ve got any other questions feel free to reach out.

Hey there Marie! Thanks for reaching out, and for your words. Welcome to the forum. I definitely can see the value in tagging support threads. We’re always modifying the forum to make it more useful and I’ve added that as a potential tweak for the future. (In the interim if your’e looking for something more neatly organized, perhaps our FAQ would help: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/faqs)?

For adding the CSS you’re using into the forums…that’s still not 100% refined. You can use the < code > tag, but it’s not perfect. Most users trying to show more than a line or two will drop it into pastie.org or a related service and share the link from there.

It looks like on the header problem, which seems to be happening for each of the events I checked, is just a CSS issue. Not sure how to resolve that myself but I’ve asked our dev Jonah to take a look – hopefully he’ll be able to point you in the right direction.

The “Updated” feature is a product of the SEO microformats we introduced in 2.0 to help events from a search engine perspective. If they’re disabled the value of the micrformats functionality can be voided. If that’s not a concern to you, check out this thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/remove-updated-from-the-event-look/#post-16296.

Hope that helps! I’ll get Jonah in on the one mentioned above. Let me know if you have any other questions in the interim.

Hey Andrei. Thanks for reaching out here. If I understand the issue correctly, might this thread ( https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/how-to-get-article-image-to-appear-in-events-listing/) point you in the right direction? Let me know if not.

Solid suggestion, Tineke! Glad you found a workaround – though as Timothy notes, you’ll want to keep track of it when you update so you know to make those needed changes again.

I have logged this as a proposed feature for a future release, too. I can see the value in it. No guarantees it’ll make the cut or when, but it’s on the radar. Thanks for the tip.

Hi Jean-Philippe. Thanks for the heads up and sorry to hear you’re having issues with this. I’m not able to recreate on my environment, also running PHP 5.3…so I wonder if something else is up here. Have you checked whether you’re running the plugins out of sync (ie so both are on 2.0.5)?

Please also double check that you don’t have any older versions of the plugin active, and that you haven’t installed any other plugins that could be conflicting (testing the deactivation route is the best way to do so, I’ve found). If you want to give me a shout after doing that – assuming it’s still an issue – I’ll try and offer up what I can from there. Apologies for the inconvenience in then interim.

Tineke: that is correct. We’re overhauling the calendar functionality for 2.1 so this and a number of the other iCal/G-cal issues you’ve seen active the past few weeks will unfortunately probably not be resolved until that comes out. Sorry I couldn’t offer up more in the short term.

Hey Timothy, thanks for the note. Sorry to hear you’re having issues (and thanks for opening this as a separate thread). This is unfortunately still an issue in the current release. We thought we’d fixed it but that brought up another issue; rather than delay the 2.0.5 launch we pushed this to 2.1 and will be addressing it for that release.

2.1 should be out within the next 4-6 weeks. Apologies I couldn’t offer up more here. If you’ve got other questions, let me know.

Marie: if you found a service that allowed RSS-based tweeting (I haven’t experimented with those at all), it could work. The events do kick out a feed at /events/feed, so to that extent it should be doable. Have you given it a go?

Matthew: the events.css file is in the plugin’s “resources” folder.

Hey Jason. Awesome! We definitely have discounts available so if you bought one license type, you only have to pay the difference between that and the next (rather than buying at full price). Shoot an email to pro /a/ tri.be and we’ll hook you up.

    Thanks for your support.

Thanks for the follow-up, Jason. Most of the dev team has been out this week, but they’re back on Monday and I’ve asked that this be the first thread they tackle to see if they can offer anything beyond Jonah’s suggestion above. Apologies for the delay so far.

Thanks for the heads up, Carlos. Not sure what would be going on here – let me see if one of our devs can comment as to why you’d be receiving that message.

Hey Curtis. That’s odd; thanks for confirming. Can you try deactivating other plugins, to see if a conflict lies with one of them? If not that, reverting to the default 2011 theme with all plugins deactivated?

On the time issue front: if the above doesn’t resolve that, feel free to post a link to the site (along with your time zone settings) and I’ll take a look. You’re the first person who hasn’t had it fix their issue so I’m wondering if something else is at play here.

Let me me know how that pans out and we’ll go from there. Thanks!
