Hello,
I have a problem, my client on http://www.bcfa.eu would like the ‘updated 11 December 2011 removed from (for example) http://www.bcfa.eu/event/arbitration-a-must-for-ma-and-investments/ actually, it has to be removed from all the events (which is also easyer to implement I suspect) How can I do this?
March 6, 2012 at 9:08 am #16296RobMemberHey Fabien. That’s a byproduct of the microformats we’re using for SEO purposes, and is required to be compliant with that – if you remove them you’re almost certain to take a hit from an SEO standpoint. Let me know if your client isn’t concerned with that and I can see if a member of our dev team can help you out, but we definitely do not encourage removing that given the impact it has.
March 6, 2012 at 9:51 am #16310FabienMemberThen I will put a robot block on /event/ and /events/, my client isn’t concerned with SEO for the events, more on people that get confused by the additional date or repelled by the ancientness of the date.
I’m not the one having those concerns, but hey, client is king! As we say here in Belgium.
Can you look into it for me?
March 7, 2012 at 8:15 am #16354RobMemberHah. Client is king, indeed. Thanks for confirming – I’ll get our dev Jonah to take a look at this for you today. Cheers!
March 7, 2012 at 10:30 am #16388JonahParticipantHi Fabien, to remove the Updated content; just override /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views/single.php by placing a copy in an ‘events’ folder in your theme and then find lines 48+49 and remove them.
Hope that helps!
March 7, 2012 at 3:02 pm #16410FabienMemberSuper! Thank you very much.
Also: I also had another ticket, but perhaps it got lost? Or deleted? Can I easily check my other tickets somewhere? Is there some way you can check that one out or should I make a new ticket?
March 8, 2012 at 11:01 am #16459RobMemberFabien: sounds like the core issue here is resolved, right? Just want to make sure.
As to your other issue: we generally don’t delete threads, so that doesn’t sound like the cause. Have you tried clicking your name (here within the thread) to see a list of all the posts you’ve started? If you can’t find the existing thread feel free to create a new one.
April 2, 2012 at 7:00 pm #17512AlyssaParticipantHey Guys-
I am having the same issue, and tried what you recommended, but “scheduled” and “Updated” still show up. Can you tell me exactly what to remove from the single.php code? Here’s the page I’m talking about: http://ahoyfortmyersbeach.com/event/nightly-entertainment-at-pagellis/2012-04-03/

After performing a template override, find the lines that look like this: https://gist.github.com/3499149 and just comment them out like this: https://gist.github.com/3499154Let me know if that does the trick for you.
