    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for getting in touch! Can you elaborate a bit where you want to remove the ticket number? From the email that is sent to the user?

    Please let me know about it,

    Hey Bill,

    Thanks for jumping in! I can give some quick tips here, but if you need further assistance please open up a new thread for this. Having just a user/issue per thread usually makes them move faster.

    First of all, please be sure that you have upcoming events categorized under the ‘casino’ category. This seems to be the reason why no items are showing up. Also please note I’m not seeing any events at http://www.testlive.org/events/.

    All I am looking for is a listing of casinos with their perspective demographics, without having to install another plugin.

    If you want to list Casinos instead of events, maybe you can use ‘Venues’ for that. You can rename venues to casinos!

    Hi there @lishal,

    Thanks for reaching out to us and sorry to hear about this duplicates issue you are experiencing šŸ™

    We do not have the Housekeeper plugin around, but I’ll ask the dev team if they have an updated version or something that can work the same way.

    Have you noticed this happening after any direct action (updating WordPress or The Events Calendar or other plugin)? Can you check the server error logs to see if there’s something there that might be useful to understand the root of the issue?

    From what you state I understand this just happened once or is this something that’s happening frequently? What was the title of the event? Do you remember creating said event?

    Sorry for the many follow-up questions, just trying to get some clues on where this might be coming from!

    Best,
    Nico

    Hi Chan,

    Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear about this issue, I’ll help you getting it right!

    First let me tell you that the current version of The Events Calendar is 4.0.5, so maybe it’s a good idea to update to the latest version before fixing any issues. Do you agree? Is there a reason why you won’t like to update our plugins?

    In case you are up to updating the plugins please share your system information with me so I can see which plugins you are using and send you over some advice on the update.

    Regarding the title issue I’m not sure about what’s happening maybe you can send over a screenshot of the site (you can use cloudup.com or similar services to upload the images and share the URL here)? Please check these two articles, maybe they address your issue: Altering or removing titles on calendar views and Changing the browser title for calendar views.

    Please let me know about it,

    Hi Ashley,

    Thanks for reaching out to us, and sorry to hear about this issue. I’ll try to help you out getting this right…

    I could see the issue in your site: accessing all instances (but the last) of the “Open Craft” event results in a redirect to the ‘/all/’ listing of that event. Searching the backlog I found a bug that sounds like this one.

    What’s the setting for Timezone Mode (WP-Admin > Event > Settings > General > Timezone)? If you are using ‘Use the sitewide…’, Can you try to switch to ‘Use the local..’?

    Also it would be great if you could share your system information with me so I can check if everything looks right on that end.

    Please let me know about the follow-up questions,
    Best,
    Nico

    Hi Peter,

    Thanks for reaching out to us and for taking the time to make the PDF explaining the issue!

    I’ve searched the backlog for any bugs that could be related to the issue you describe and I found one where the single event export fails to convert timezone, while exporting events from listings works as expected. This seems to be the opposite from what you describe! Let’s find out some more info to see if this the same case or not.

    From what I see in the exported files, the timezone in the site is set to ‘Australia/Sydney’, right? Can you check the timezone of the calendar you importing events to? If you set the timezone of the site to UTC +11 (Sydney timezone according to Google) instead of the city name, and try this again, Do you see any differences?

    Also the time-stamps you point out in the PDF are different from each other (for single events export and list export), and that’s fine because they represent the start and end dates of the events.

    Please let me know about those questions,
    Best,
    Nico

    PS: it would be great if you could share your system information with me so I can check if everything looks right on that end as well.

    Hey Delbert,

    Thanks for following up here! I’ll try to order your feedback a bit…

    It wont even let me change the settings of when the recurring event ends. I just receive this error: [an error occurred while processing this directive]. There is no hope in this at all if i cant even change the settings. I know it wont let me delete them.

    Can you send me a screenshoot of this error? Are you logged in as the site admin?

    Ok, now that i refresh the page after logging out and back in it says recurance: none but its still doing the ā€œrunning in the backgroundā€ spinning up top. Will it remove the excess events automatically or do i have to do that manually?

    It should do that automatically. It might take a bit to finish. It uses a cron job, in some installs the cron just runs when you visit the site. Can you update me on this?

    also, for the record, There are 4 to 6 reoccurring events per day that its on. How is that even possible? There has ot be something goofy going on.

    I’m sorry but I don’t get you here. You mean there are 4 to 6 instances of this event per day? Can you elaborate a bit?

    Thanks for the patience while we work on this issue,
    Best,
    Nico

    Hi Melinda,

    Thanks for following-up and glad to hear you could update the plugins šŸ™‚ Let’s continue to work on your questions…

    How do I go about moving it back up title and photo of the event?

    Please check out this article on it: Moving the Tickets Plus form.

    1.When I go back into the license keys it’s not showing there? I copy and paste it back in and then go back to check on it and it’s blank again? Not sure if that’s causing the issues or if that’s suppose to happen.

    Be sure to paste code in the license field, then click outside the field and wait a few seconds till the license server validates it. It will show a message under the field and then you can go ahead and click ‘Save Changes’. Sometimes these errors happen if the validation server is down or a bit slow, I see it’s working fine now but that could be the cause.

    2. I can no longer click on attendees and see who is booked in for the events or print or email the list to my staff?

    You should be able to see the attendees for the events as expected. Take a look to this article: Tickets: Managing your orders and attendees.

    3. Now when I go into edit a ticket there are two different options ā€˜Edit’ and ā€˜Edit in Woocommerce’? I’m not sure why there is two but if I enter the information into edit like I use to it no longer shows up on the front? It only shows up using edit in Woo. It’s getting really confusing that information is not showing up on the front end like it use to? I know have to go into both to put in price, how many left,

    Sorry fo the confusion here! The ‘edit’ link is to edit the ticket in the event edit screen (right in there), while the ‘Edit in WooCommerce’ link takes you to edit that product/ticket in the Woo editor – which for some users is useful.
    Regarding the front end of the tickets form, this is how it looks with default theme TweentyFifteen: https://cloudup.com/cODzlkALBSm, Are you seeing it this way?

    4. Is there a video or guide explaining each of these new functions ( Inventory, Attributes, Linked Products, etc).

    The features you are referring are related to WooCommerce, right? In that case you’ll need to refer to WooCommerce Docs. If you are referring to our plugin, please elaborate a bit more on this cause I’m not sure to get you.

    Please let me know if these answers help you to finally get the migration working,
    Best,
    Nico

    Hey Alejandra,

    Thanks for following up!

    how can i use hooks?

    Hooks might come in handy for modifying information returned by our plugin. For example this article describes how to filter titles in the calendar. If you are not sure about how hooks, actions & hooks work in WordPress, I recommend you read this article: WordPress Essentials: The Definitive Guide To WordPress Hooks

    override the template

    That’s described in our themer’s guide, basically you provide a ‘modified’ copy of the template and locate it in your theme directory under ‘tribe-events/plugin/path_to_view/file.php’.

    Where should i place the functions.php file?

    Your template’s functions.php file always need to be placed at wp-content/themes/active_theme/functions.php. If you move the file WordPress won’t recognize it.

    Where can i edit the comunity css on child theme? how should i name the css file?

    As you state if the custom CSS file is in tribe-events/community/tribe-events-community.css (the correct path) it will prevent the load of the original file from the plugin folder. I think we are dropping the ball here, as this is not what’s stated in the themer’s guide. I’ll investigate on this to find if the text from the guide needs to be update because the process of how this works changed or if there’s an issue with the code incorrectly preventing the load of the original stylesheet. I’ll let you know when I get to know more on this.

    For now you can leave the original code from ‘tribe-events-community.css’ in the copy of the file in your theme folder and just add your custom CSS below the original.

    Sorry for the hassle with this issue, it’s a bad from our side šŸ™

    Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with,
    Best,
    Nico

    Hi Tony,

    Thanks for checking-in! I’ve re-checked the report for this in our backlog, I see it’s still scheduled to be out in the next maintenance release (4.1.1). It didn’t make it to ‘next release’ (4.1) as tickets were already closed. There will be some internal changes on how maintenance releases are defined, but I don’t think that’s going to affect this case.

    Thanks for your patience once again,

    Hi there,

    Thanks for following up!

    (I don’t think we can assign individual ā€œticket priceā€ anyway with Event Tickets.)

    Yeap, you are right I was checking this with Event Tickets Plus active, my bad!

    You can upload the screenshoots to cloudup.com (or any other image sharing service) and send the links over in a private reply. I would appreciate that, the more details we add to the bug report, the easier to solve for devs šŸ™‚

    Thanks again,
    Nico

    Stocked to hear this works for now, hopefully this get’s you out of the rush on the live website!

    Before I log this bug in the backlog I would like to confirm this is also happening if you select another city like for example Paris. Does it present the same behavior like it showed with Amsterdam? Does the information in the WP-Admin > Settings > General > Timezone shows up correctly (https://cloudup.com/cIcMdaV3SfW)?

    Thanks a lot for helping us narrow this issue down,

    Hi Kevin,

    Thanks for following-up!

    what does it mean to ā€œAdd a check at the top of the community templateā€? I apologize if my beginnerness is showing.

    No worries at all! I incorrectly assumed you could follow along, but let’s go slower!

    So the community template Brian refers to is the one located at ‘wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/src/views/community/edit-event.php’ (new events + edit events template), which you can override (as described in our themer’s guide. Once you have your own copy of the template you can add your custom login check + redirect at the top of the template. For example:

    ...
    if ( ! defined( 'ABSPATH' ) ) {
    die( '-1' );
    }

    // custom login redirect
    if ( !is_user_logged_in () ) {
    wp_safe_redirect( site_url( 'wp-login.php' ) );
    exit;
    }

    $events_label_singular = tribe_get_event_label_singular();
    ...

    Give this a try and please let me know if you still need help getting this in place,
    Have a great week,
    Nico

    Hey Nigel,

    Thanks for following up with the code! I’ve tested it locally and it’s working for me, but I discovered an error on how you are using tribe_event_featured_image that might be causing the link to fail.

    Change this line:
    <?php echo tribe_event_featured_image( $event->ID, null, 'medium' ) ?>
    to:
    <?php echo tribe_event_featured_image( $event->ID, 'medium' ) ?>

    Please check the function docs to understand this parameter change. Also give it a try and let me know if it works now,

    Best,
    Nico
