    Hi there @acluk,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

I can clearly see the issue in your single event page, but I’m afraid that’s how your theme (Avada) is showing it. By default event meta is stacked under the event description (as seen here). Maybe before start customizing the templates code you can reach out to Avada support and ask if this default behaviour can be modified in the theme settings. If that’s not possible I suggest you take a look to our themer’s guide where the process of customizing the plugin templates is described.

Please let me know about it,

    Howdy @ Millennium,

Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunately we cannot provide this type of customization to our clients. We can help you with some punctual CSS issues, but not styling your calendar 🙁

Be sure to check the following knowledge base articles on how to customize the look and feel of our plugins:

Please let me know if that helps you getting started,

    Hey Ian,

Thanks for reaching out to us and for your interest in our products!

Unfortunately our calendar doesn’t come packed with such notifications. The only messages our plugin sends are related to tickets purchases/RSVPs. I guess this is something that could be achieved with some custom code, but definitively not a feature of our product right now.

You are welcome to submit this feature request to The Events Calendar user voice page, where we gather feedback from our community regarding upcoming features.

Please let me know if I can help you with anything else,
    Best,
    Nico

    Hey Ben,

Thanks for reaching out to us on this! I’ll try to help you here…

First of all let me highlight that WooTickets (The Events Calendar: WooCommerce Tickets) has been replaced by our new plugins Event Tickets (free) and Event Tickets Plus (premium add-on). If you are setting up a new site I recommend switching to our new plugins as WooTickets won’t receive any updates (only critical bug fixes). If you are interested in doing so please go over this article: Moving to Event Tickets Plus. You won’t need to purchase a new license for this, all users holding a ‘legacy’ license had been granted a free Event Tickets Plus license (with same expiration date).

If you still want to work with WooTickets I can help you trouble shoot this issue as well. In this case please start off by testing for conflicts, this way we can see if this is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins.

Please let me know about it,
    Best,
    Nico

    Hola Alicia,

Thanks for reaching out and for your interest in our products 🙂

From what you describe, I suggest the following set-up:
Events Calendar PRO for recurring events.
Event Tickets (free) to allow RSVP for events.
Event Tickets Plus to be able to sell tickets for events. This plugin works with an e-commerce plugin that handles cart, checkout & payment, you can use any of the following: WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, Shopp and WP-Ecommerce.

An auto-response for those clients to say thank you

Users get an email after purchasing tickets or marking RSVP. You can include a custom thanks message in those emails.

A database that manages all those clients, the RSVPs and the payments

Our plugins store all information in the standard WordPress database tables.

Being able to introduce manually more payments and expenses (divided by cash and credit card) and RSVPs

You can manually generate orders (tickets) from the e-commerce plugin. Not sure about expenses, you’ll need to check that in the e-commerce platform you choose to work with. Regarding RSVPs you can create those manually from the site front-end.

¿What is the best wordpress theme that is compatible with those of your products?

I guess it all depends on the site features, so not sure if there’s a best option. Theme Forest let you filter themes by compatibility with popular plugins, check this listing of themes compatible with The Events Calendar. Many users of our products use Avada theme which I’m aware supports our plugins pretty well.

¿Do I need any extra code for connecting the data between your plugins?

No, all of our products work smoothly with each other!

Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this,
    Best,
    Nico

PS: I’ve noticed your site is from Spain, if you prefer we can continue our conversation in Spanish 😉

    Hi @bkozlowski,

Glad to be helping you with this issue as well!

I’m not sure about the code above, is that a custom code you’ve put together? Because I’m not seeing the same in the latest version (4.0.5) of the meta/details.php file.

It would be great if you could share your system information with me so I can check which versions of our plugins you are running.

Please let me know about it,
    Thanks,
    Nico

    Hi @bkozlowski,

Thanks for reaching out to us on this! I’ll help you out…

I need to create a custom event type that is a hybrid of the single day and recurring event type. Is there a way to do this?

Unfortunately there’s no way of doing so 🙁

We have events that are recurring, but only need to be displayed on the calendar until the registration date has ended similar to a class.

Once the registration has passed you can edit the event and check the option ‘Hide from Events Listings’ (https://cloudup.com/cojV5poPcIS). You can custom code some parameter or custom field to indicate the ‘registration date’ and edit the events listings templates adding a check for this value (if registration date has passed then don’t show the event).

It would also be great if we had an option to disable “Recurring Events (See all)” from displaying in calendar & single event views from within the event on an individual basis.

I guess this can also be achieved by adding a custom field (or Tag or Event Category) and then editing the templates to check for this value. Please review our themer’s guide to see how our template override system works.

Please let me know if this answers your question,

    Howdy @thegreenmanstore,

Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us. I’ll help you getting this right!

To start off please try to change the WordPress site timezone to UTC and set Event > Settings > General > Timezone Settings > Timezone mode to ‘Use sitewide…”. After settings this up re-test. If this is works then try to select the appropriate timezone for ‘america/los_angeles’, but with the UTC ofsset mode (UTC-8 I think). On the other hand if this is still an issue please ask your engineer to follow the steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide (maybe he has done it already, but I would like to be sure before proceeding).

Please let me know about your findings,
    Best,
    Nico

    Hi there HRR,

Thanks for reaching out and also for your interest in our products!

Do I have to create an event for every day as the opening hours change? Is there an add-on that can help me out with this issue?

To do so, you can in fact create a new event everyday, but you can also take advantage of Recurring Events. This features (comes packed in Events Calendar PRO) lets you define custom ‘repetition’ patterns like this one: https://cloudup.com/c0_yByfUsMz, for the event to recur, having the possibility to change the start time and duration 🙂

Please let me know if that answers your question and if you have any other inquire I can help you with,

Thanks for pointing that out Rob, I’ve just corrected a code encoding issue in the article before sharing it. My guess is cache is getting in the way.

Can you try reaching it here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/adding-sold-out-notices-in-list-view/?nocache

    Hey Rob,

Thanks for reaching out to us! Interesting question here I’ll help you out on it.

If you are looking for adding a ‘Sold Out’ notice in the list view, you can use the snippet in this article: Adding sold out notices for tickets in List View.

Now if you are looking to show the remaining tickets amount it can be a bit more difficult (as one event might have many tickets) but I guess it’s doable as well.

Please let me know about it,

    Hi @lishal,

Some additional test showed the plugin I’ve sent you previously (https://cloudup.com/cPv3ZMX8Zd0) should help you out cleaning your database. But it was my bad for not sending complete instructions on how to run the clean up. I’m really sorry for that!

So please go ahead and re-install the clean up plugin. Once that’s activated navigate to Events > Settings > General and find the Duplicate Recurring Events button. Cleanup takes a long time and its possible you’ll need to re-run it if things time out on your site, but it should work (it did for us running against your db).

@ Sean, please give this a try as well. As I stated earlier you might be facing a different issue but hopefully this will work for you as well!

Please give that a second try and let me know about it,
    Best,
    Nico

    Hey Kama,

    Thanks for following up!

When a person RSVPʻs to a ticket does that RSVP show up on the calendar automatically?

Not on the calendar, when a user RSVPs it’s name + email go to and attendees list in the back-end (which you can manage to show up in the front-end with a snippet). If the event is full you can show a ‘Sold Out’ (or whatever) note on the calendar.

does this described process require both Events Calendar Pro and Tickets Plus?

If you plan to use RSVP you just need Event Tickets (free). While if you need to actually sell the tickets you’ll also need Event Tickets Plus. And finally Events Calendar PRO will enable recurring events, shortcodes, extra events view, and some more features. So I guess it all depends on your project needs! Also buying any premium add-on will give you access to premium support.

If so, is there a price deal?

Not for now… We are working on product bundle deals, hopefully they’ll be available soon in our website.

Please let me know if I can help you with anything else,
    Best,
    Nico
