MemberHi Sebastian,
Thanks for your note and your info on this issue. Sorry to hear you are having this problem.
I’ve tried to replicate this issue on my end and I’m not see it so far. Would you be able to tell me a little about those events in December? Are they single day events? Or are they part of a series of events? Could you tell me if this is happening to ALL events in December? Or just ones that have already passed. If that is the case, what do events in November 2013 or October 2013 look like?
A few of those details should be good to get us going and dig a little deeper for you.
Thanks
Neill

MemberHi Yvette,
Sorry to hear you are having a few issues. Could you tell me if this was an issue prior to the 3.3 update? Or Is this a fresh install and you weren’t using the plugin before?
Also you noted that TEC and TEC:CE need to be deactivated – can you confirm if it takes the combination of both of them – or have you tried them both individually.
Lastly – I’d like to rule out that there’s not something in the 3.3 update that is conflicting with you theme. Could you check for us that when using a default theme such as twenty-thirteen the issue is still present. You already mentioned that deactivating plugins didn’t help either, but just to be sure let us know if that is the case with all plugins deactivated or if you just checked TEC plugins.
That should be enough to get us digging a little deeper. We are on a limited support crew this week, so bare with us while we try our best to get to the bottom of this for you.

MemberHi Courtney
Could you tell us if what method or code you are planing on using to accomplish this?
We have limited support this week – but should be able to get going on helping you out if you can give us an idea of how you plan to do this?

MemberHi Mandy
Sorry to see that you are having a little bit of a bumpy ride with the update to 3.3 – as you are probably aware we are on limited support this week due to holiday week. But I’ll try and get started with a few questions so we can dig a little deeper.
First of all did you happen to notice what version of the plugin the site was running previous to the update? I’d like to see if I can replicate the issue on my end so knowing what version you were running before hand might help.
Also when you say: “Now when you go to update and event you end up on a blank screen” what exactly do you mean by “update and event”. Do you mean when you go to the update and then go to the event tab you get a blank screen? Or just when you hit the “update” link.
As a quick solution – have you tried deactivating the plugin and re-activating it again?
If you can give me some feedabck on the above I should have enough info to be able to start digging a little deeper for you.
Thanks for using the plugin and hopefully we can get this squared away for you quickly.

MemberHi Jeff,
Thanks for the email – We are as you are aware on limited support team at the moment, so we may not be able to get you the exact help you need right away – but I’ll get the ball rolling for you.
Can you clarify for me a few things.
1) You still want to run the main events calendar here: http://www.millcreekmetroparks.org/events/
2) You don’t want any cross over between the calendars? i.e. community events only in the events calendar and admin generated events only in the main calendar?
If those two points above are correct I’d be happy to touch base with some of the developers and see what they think is plausible.
If you can also give us a scenario of this being used that might help us visualize the solutions for you and think about any edge cases.
Thanks for your note

MemberHi Liblogger
Looks like this one got away from us a little. Sorry about that. Its such an edge case of a mix a small issue in our code and a small issue in your themes code that is causing the conflict.
A dev looked at everything a little closer and we realized the timing of the code we gave you before may not be doing the trick. As a result we came up with another snippet of code: http://pastebin.com/reXSbkhg – try adjusting the original code for functions.php that we provided with this one.
I understand that you may not have the issue any more since the re installation of your DB but let us know if the issue has cropped up again, and if this snippet we offer may help?
Apologies for the slow replies also, hope we’re getting a little closer for you.

MemberHi Liblogger,
Just one last point that might cut down on a few more back and forths, which will hopefully get this issue wrapped up sooner for you. Would you be able to paste your entire functions.php file (with the snippet that we provided inserted) into a tool like pastebin? We’ll be able to get a look at whats going on there too at the same time. If the devs believe that the fresh database install isn’t going to be enough of a fix then I’d like to come back to you with a plan B.

MemberHi Liblogger,
Sorry for the late reply – I’m not 100% confident, that this will solve the issue once and for all. Its very unfortunate that your site seems to be picking up on this bug – and so far you are the only one to report it. I have posed this senario to one of our devs and I’d like him to double check. If
Bare with me and I should be back to you pretty soon.

MemberHi Liblogger,
Sorry for the confusion yesterday. Lets try this again. First of all make sure you’ve removed everything from wp-e-commerce/wpsc-core/wpsc-functions.php that we added yesterday.
Add the following code to your functions.php file: http://pastebin.com/ePTaKt1G
Usually I would be happy to test this all out and make sure this all works on our end, but as this fringe case, and is only occurring on your site we’re working blind. If this doesn’t looks like it fixes the issue this time around then let us know and we’ll see what we can do next. But from talking to the devs we are pretty confident this is the issue and that this should work.
Thanks again for baring with us. 🙂

MemberHi Liblogger,
Sorry that didn’t work – let me check with the devs again and see if there’s something we’re missing. Thanks for your patience!

MemberHi Liblogger,
Sorry for the confusion. I believe you should be ok adding what was mentioned above after line 1124 in wp-e-commerce/wpsc-core/wpsc-functions.php
As we do not have access to replicate the issue here please let us know how it works, or if there are any other pointers we can offer. Good Luck!

MemberRappnews,
Could you also do me a favor and see what happens when you deactivate all your other plugins that you might have running on the site? – I should have confirmed this with you right off the bat – my apologies.
If it turn out one of those are causing a conflict let us know which one and we’ll see if we can recreate it on our side.

MemberHi Memeco,
Just to give you an update here. I’ve talked to the team about this and we’re going to look into the Google Calendar API a little. We may be able to refine this a little for our users, but we’d need to investigate a little first.
In the mean time downloading a the iCal file and importing that into Google Calendar does work. If you do this from the Month View screen that should import the whole months events.
Also if you have a couple of minutes it might be worth dropping this as a feature request here: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas – if other users feel this is beneficial they can vote on it and make suggestions.
Let me know if you have any issues with the iCal button by starting a fresh ticket. I’ll close this one out for now and use it to let you know of any updates to this discussion in the future.

MemberHi Liblogger,
Thank you for your patience on this. I got to work with a couple of our developers about this. None of us were able to recreate this on our own local installs, but we did find an SQL error on your side that led us to dig a little deeper. It’s a very specific scenario that so far we can only see happening on your install.
We have a fix for this in the form of a little piece of code that needs to be inserted in wp-e-commerce/wpsc-core/wpsc-functions.php. Somewhere after wpsc_generate_product_query hooks in, do this:
if ( $priority = has_action('pre_get_posts', 'wpsc_generate_product_query') ) {
add_action( 'pre_get_posts', '__return_null', $priority );
}
That prevents corruption of the $wp_filter array while it’s looping.
Let me know if this works on your end or if you have any question about this.
