Short Issue: When you go to update and event you end up on a blank screen, no messages or warnings.

I have inherited a WordPress site from a new client and they use Event Calendar Pro and were having issues. I updated to WordPress 3.8 I noticed they were behind several versions and the license was expired, so I followed the link and purchased the latest Event Calendar Pro 3.3 and updated Event Calendar to 3.3.1.

I went to add the new license so it could update through the system, but there was no license tab.

I went to install the plugin Event Calendar Pro and it said the files already existed and failed auto install. So I did a manual install with FTP. I still don’t have an License tab but it seemed to be working.

Now when you go to update and event you end up on a blank screen, no messages or warnings. http://hippocratesinst.org/wp-admin/post.php

Not sure how to proceed. I search the forums but after an hour, I didn’t see any similar situations.

Sorry to see that you are having a little bit of a bumpy ride with the update to 3.3 – as you are probably aware we are on limited support this week due to holiday week. But I’ll try and get started with a few questions so we can dig a little deeper.

First of all did you happen to notice what version of the plugin the site was running previous to the update? I’d like to see if I can replicate the issue on my end so knowing what version you were running before hand might help.

Also when you say: “Now when you go to update and event you end up on a blank screen” what exactly do you mean by “update and event”. Do you mean when you go to the update and then go to the event tab you get a blank screen? Or just when you hit the “update” link.

As a quick solution – have you tried deactivating the plugin and re-activating it again?

If you can give me some feedabck on the above I should have enough info to be able to start digging a little deeper for you.

The version was 2.0.10. By “Now when you go to update and event you end up on a blank screen” I mean update an existing event or add a new event. All previous events still exist.

After deactivation and reactivation both Event Calendar and Event Calendar Pro, it now works! Sorry. Expert in Joomla and new to Word Press. Thank you!!

New issue is that a short list of Upcoming Events on the right hand side of the home page is coming up blank. http://hippocratesinst.org/ Any help would be very appreciated.

Glad to hear that worked. Would you mind opening a separate post for the sidebar issue. That way we can make sure anyone else that might have the same issue finds the thread easily and can see how it develops.
