ParticipantHey andreafph,
Sounds like you found a way to make it work for you. Recurring events are something that are currently being looked at by the developers. Perhaps in an upcoming release we’ll have a solution that will meet your needs. Until then, good luck with your project!

ParticipantHey dsmb32,
There was a very similar question asked previously that might have the information you are looking for: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-list-widget-7/
Does that answer your question?

ParticipantHey alexhammerstein,
In order to get events to show on a calendar, such as a weekly or monthly view, they really need to have a start and end time by definition. It just isn’t possible to have an open-ended event. Computers can be so literal about those sort of things. We have chosen a default end time of 5:00 p.m., and it would be possible to set that to a different time, but it would mean getting into the code to do so.
With regards to the information that is displayed when you mouse over an event, there’s only a limited amount of space available so we had to make some choices as to what would be displayed there. If you’d like to make changes to that, you can find some information that could help you in either our Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) or Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/). But since it is a customization to the plugin, there’s only so much support we can provide. If you are comfortable with digging into the code and making changes, then I believe that the plugin will be able to do what you’d like.
Does that make sense?

ParticipantHey columinate,
Thanks so much for giving that a try. So now that we’ve got it isolated to your theme, have you contacted your theme developer at all regarding this? Apparently there is something in the theme that is interfering with the search query. The theme developer should be able to track that down, as I don’t have access to those files. They can download the free The Events Calendar plugin and perhaps use the resources in our Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/) to identify the culprit.
Let me know how that goes.

ParticipantHey ropecommander,
I’m glad you were able to get something to work for you. There probably is a way to to that if you layer the CSS classes together, but whatever you can make work… well it works!
Good luck with the rest of your project.

ParticipantHey rubinse,
I think we’ve recently uncovered a bug that might be related to your issue. We’ve got the developers looking into it. Hang tight and we’ll let you know what they come up with. I’m sorry about the inconvenience in the meantime.

ParticipantHey lucaweb,
Hmmm. I believe I’m able to replicate the issue as the “auto-import” events are waiting to be checked before they are actually imported. I’ve logged this as a bug and we’ll have the developers take a look. Hang tight and we’ll let you know what they come up with. I’m sorry about the inconvenience in the meantime.

ParticipantHey wiggleyourtoesorg,
Hmmm… “Connection lost” sounds like a server issue either with your hosting setup or possibly Eventbrite’s service. There is a thread out on WordPress.org that sounds pretty similar to your situation. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-message-connection-lost-saving-has-been-disabled-until-reconnected?replies=18 It’s not specifically related to our product, but the error is the same. Does that help you identify the problem?

ParticipantHey rubinse,
Well, let’s see if we can figure out where it’s going awry. Did you see our New User’s Primer? https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/facebook-importer-new-user-primer/ You mentioned that you put in the App ID and App Secret. That’s good. Where did you enter the Facebook information? There are two possible areas. The first is under Events > Settings > Facebook and the second is under Events > Importer: Facebook. Which one did you try? Also, can you provide me a link to the Facebook event you are trying to import? I’d like to test it out here to make sure it’s not something about the Facebook event itself.

ParticipantHey Kristoffer,
I think that you are right that it would take some developer skills to customize the plugins to make our widgets look like the example you gave me. This page https://theeventscalendar.com/events-calendar-widgets/ shows what our widgets look like out of the box. If one of those is close enough for you, then you might want to give it a try. But we do not offer customization services, and we only provide a limited amount of support for those venturing to do that themselves. We might be able to put you in touch with some developers that could help you out, if you are interested in going that direction.

ParticipantHey lucaweb,
Thanks for that info. I’m able to import events from that Facebook Page to my testing site with no problem. However, I haven’t had a chance to test the auto import as not enough time has passed and I don’t believe that any new events have been added.
What I did, and please confirm that you did the same, is to enter “yuccacafe” under Events > Settings > Facebook https://cloudup.com/cxeaYhIXJho and I had the Default Status set to Published and the Import Frequency set to Daily. I then went under Events > Import: Facebook and checked the boxes next to the events from Yucca Cafe to get them published on the calendar. Did you do the same? Are they not on that screen or do they not publish to the calendar?

ParticipantHey ropecommander,
Does the information provided here https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/#customizingstyles help you out at all? Or you could try switching Events > Settings > Display > Default Stylesheet to full styles or skeleton styles and see if that helps out at all.
Will that work?

ParticipantHey columinate,
Well, let’s confirm just a couple more things. Did you disable each our plugins one-by-one? Also, does switching the theme to Twenty Tweleve make any difference? Still trying to identify the source of the problem.

ParticipantHey ttem,
Since what you are trying to do is really a customization to the plugin we’re going to have to leave it up to you to move it forward. But have you seen our Themer’s Guide? (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) You might find some helpful information there. Happy coding!
