ParticipantHi John,
First, my apologies. Somehow I lost track of this thread. I’ve failed on my end to provide the level of support we hold ourselves to. There may be reasons, but there is no excuse. Let’s get you taken care of.
2) Currently our recurring events are probably not as flexible as it looks like you might need. To set up one recurring event (actually three sessions, like your example) they would have to have the same start/end times and have some pattern as to the days of the week (like Tuesday and Thursday). And while it’s a highly requested feature that we are looking to provide soon, the plugins currently aren’t set up to sell one ticket for all three sessions.
4) Once a ticket is created it is just the same as any other WooCommerce product and you’ll have all the capabilities that WooCommerce provides.
Again, my apologies for the delay. Please let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you.

We recently put together a page about the widgets here https://theeventscalendar.com/events-calendar-widgets/ so you can see the different ones look like. When I go out to the November 2014 calendar, everything seems to be showing up as expected.
Did you perhaps fix this in the interim? Or am I missing something?

ParticipantHi rcstribe,
Recommend? Backup. Backup. Backup. 🙂
I’d recommend copying your site to a second location, whether in a subdomain on your server or a local install, and giving it a go there. I’d try updating WordPress first, which usually goes smoothly. If that works, I’d backup again. Then try updating the Events plugin(s). It’s a fairly substantial change between 2.11 and 3.3. If you want to be uber cautious you could start with the 3.0 release and then jump to 3.3, but that’s uber cautious.

ParticipantHi jdxuereb,
If you have features like this that you’d be interested in seeing us offer, your best bet is to head over to our Feature Ideas page (https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas) and leave a note there. It’s best to do a quick search first to see if someone else has already suggested it, and in this case a quick search on “featured” shows that there’s a couple. You might want to just add your votes to those rather than creating a new one. It doesn’t appear to be currently under review, but adding your voice there gets it on our radar.

ParticipantHi apwebmaster,
Since you’re new, have you seen our New User Primers? https://theeventscalendar.com/the-events-calendar-for-wordpress-tutorials/#primers They might help you get oriented a bit. As far as importing/exporting goes, you’ll need to have the PRO add-on to get the export to Google iCal button added to the bottom of the monthly calendar view. The iCal format actually allows you to import those events into several different calendaring systems.
Does that help get you started?

ParticipantHi webgrain,
Could you provide a link to the Facebook event in question so I could test it out? The links that are imported are the links back to Facebook. Is the ticketing link on Facebook part of the event description? I guess without a link to your site and/or the Facebook event I’m not quite sure what’s going on.

ParticipantHi Hamish,
I don’t think PRO is going to solve that problem for you. It looks like a possible conflict with your theme. Have you tried reverting to the default Twenty Twelve theme and seeing if it still happens then? If it is a theme conflict, I’d ask that you check with your theme developer to see if they can assist you in getting it resolved.

ParticipantWell, if WP Engine is unwilling to up the limit, about the only thing you can do is keep breaking it down into smaller chunks.
Another option might be to look for another hosting provider that would be more willing to work with you on that execution limit setting, which might also make your site load faster too. But that’s your decision.
If you’d like to email a copy of your CSV file(s) to pro (at) tri.be I can give them a try here. Please mention this thread and my name in your message.

ParticipantSo the permalink is not appearing on the backend? Is it being generated at all? And you referred to it as “places”, have you changed the name perhaps? The plugin uses the word “venue” and that could be a possible problem.
Also, could you provide me a link to one of the Facebook events you are having problems with? I’d like to try to import it to my testing site.

ParticipantWell, I can point you to our Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) and Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/) for some reference material. There are some good tutorials out on the web with info on how to troubleshoot theme/plugin conflicts that might also be helpful. Here’s a good place to start perhaps: http://www.organizedthemes.com/troubleshoot-wordpress-conflicts-2/Â (not an endorsement).

ParticipantHi aplivegood,
Since it’s happening on single events, can you confirm that it still happens when you deactivate all plugins and revert to the default Twenty Twelve theme? It’s likely that it is a conflict with another plugin or possibly the theme.
With regards to response time, we do our best to meet our 24-48 hour response time goal, which we seem to be within here. We apparently failed to communicate our response time policy clearly, but anything quicker is unrealistic given the support load. What would you consider to be timely support?

ParticipantHi apkoponen,
We’ve had a few users notice this and the developer team is looking at it as a potential bug. Hang tight and we’ll see what we can do for you.

ParticipantHi joinfof,
Have you seen our Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/)? It might have what you need to get this figured out. Also there’s some additional Useful Resources links in the sidebar on the right. You might find tutorial or snippet there that could help you out too.

ParticipantHi aplivegood,
Let’s see if we can track this down. Two questions to begin with. 1) Was it working before you purchased PRO? (this assumes you were using the free The Events Calendar plugin before.) 2) Does it give you the same troubles with events that aren’t recurring?
Also could you provide a link to the site so we can see it in action?

ParticipantHi seanpaul13,
It does sound like a theme conflict. There is likely something in our plugin that has the same name as something in your theme. The best way to resolve it would be to contact your theme developer to track it down. They might find our Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/) useful in that process.
