Possible bug: Permalink for organizers and places is empty

I noticed the following bug after importing facebook events:

The url slug for organizers and places is empty. This is only the case for organizers and places which were created automatically on facebook import. If I create an organizer manually the permalink is generated correct.

Thanks for reporting this. I want to make sure I get the details right for the developers. Can you help me understand exactly which URL slug you are referring to? Where does it (not) appear?

the permalink is empty. Permalink in wordpress can be found here: http://busyblogging.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/permalink-wordpress.jpg

So the permalink is not appearing on the backend? Is it being generated at all? And you referred to it as “places”, have you changed the name perhaps? The plugin uses the word “venue” and that could be a possible problem.

 

Also, could you provide me a link to one of the Facebook events you are having problems with? I’d like to try to import it to my testing site.

The permalinks are not generated at all. I’m using wordpress with german language (de_DE). The URL slug of a venue changes automatically to “ort”. The organizer link is still “organizer”, but is also not working.

If I edit a permalink in the wordpress dashboard manually, the links work fine.

Hmmm… I’m able to import that event with no troubles, so I’m thinking it’s something with the translation. I’m going to log it as a bug and we’ll keep you posted.

We haven’t been able to identify a common cause on this issue, and actually we think that it’s likely caused by a number of factors. We are interested in helping you further. Have you tried disabling all other plugins and reverting to the default Twenty Twelve theme? Did that make a difference?
