ParticipantHi Marcus,
I apologize for the inconvenience to you.The bug is in our sights to be squashed, and we’re aiming for the next maintenance release if we can. It is a high priority for us and we’re working hard to get it fixed.

ParticipantHi marlnet,
Thanks for choosing The Events Calendar!
FIrst off, you will need to have The Events Calendar (which is what I assume you mean by Free EV) plugin activated to use the Events Calendar PRO (ProEV?). PRO simply adds additional features to The Events Calendar.
As far as the styling goes I’m not sure what goes “horribly wrong.” Could you provide a screenshot by chance?
One thing to perhaps try in the mean time is to switch out the Default Stylesheets under the Events > Settings > Display tab. Do any of those make any difference?

ParticipantHi stevenolli,
Not sure exactly which buttons you are referring to, but I do know that the recent updates to WordPress changes the way the backend looks slightly. Can you be more specific as to what the problem is?

ParticipantHi stevenolli,
I might be confused here since when I go to your single event page I see a sidebar on the right and not the left. Can you provide a screenshot of what it looks like with the Full Width setting?
Also, you mentioned that you are using the Default Events Template, but I’m wondering which of the default stylesheets you are using. (http://screencloud.net/v/x3Kv for reference) Have you tried changing those and did it make any difference?
Did you find our Themer’s Guide? (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) It might have some information that could help you out too.

ParticipantHi Frederick,
Those snippets were written several versions ago and actually are a reminder of how frequently Facebook changes the rules. You can try them if you’d like, but both involve changing core plugin code and we don’t recommend that. You’d be doing it at your own risk.
That said, we are going to be looking at this once again and seeing how we can revise the code for a future release. I know that’s not the answer you’re looking for, but it will take time to find a better, more permanent solution.

ParticipantHi El,
I’m sorry, but we don’t typically have coupon codes available. However, if your site is for a non-profit, we do have a special programs for non-profits that you could look into. https://theeventscalendar.com/non-profits/
You can always get started with the free The Events Calendar plugin and add the PRO add-on when you can.

Yes.
I hope that’s okay by you. Anything else I can help you with?

ParticipantKevin,
I’m so sorry that other thread got closed out. Don’t know how it happened really, but thank you so much for starting a new one!
Ok, with regards to the Facebook events, once they are imported they are just like the other events in the Event Calendar. If you have changed the code to display events in a certain way, the Facebook events should be treated no differently. And since they are simply imported and not synced, there should be no problems from that standpoint.
As far as images in the widget goes, hey, it’s WordPress, anything’s possible. But I honestly haven’t seen such a customization so I don’t have an example for you. It really is something that you’d be on your own to implement.

ParticipantHi sosayweall,
As we don’t use email for support, I don’t have an address for you. You can just pick any old email, how about [email protected]? Then just leave the credentials here in the forum as a private message where I can pick them up.

ParticipantHi splurgin,
You’ve got a great vision there. And it’s possible that our plugins could be a piece of it. We could add the bits about the upcoming events and the tickets for those events, but the rest would have to be done using other resources. We do offer a map view that can search for nearby events, but again it’s tied to events and not businesses.
Just a thought, but have you checked out store locator plugins? Or Google Maps plugins? They might be better suited to your location-oriented information.
Good luck with it!

ParticipantHi Larry,
You seem to have an issue with your license. Can I ask you to send an email to pro (at) tri.be and reference this thread? They’ll help you get it sorted out there.

ParticipantHi Kevin,
Those are some great ideas, but they are not things the plugin is designed to do out of the box. And I think they’d be some pretty ambitious customizations to be honest. We don’t offer trials for our plugins, but you could check out the free The Events Calendar plugin available from WordPress.org, but of course that doesn’t have the Photo View that you’re interested in.
I’m sorry if we’re not going to be able to help you with your plans.

ParticipantHi danagould,
We’ve had some troubles with the hourly import from Facebook. It’s a bug we’re working on squashing. But it does help to set the auto import interval to Daily rather than Hourly in the meantime. Can you give that a try and see if it helps?
Sorry for your troubles.

ParticipantHey fred,
The CSV Importer is separate from the Facebook Importer, so I’m going to move your question over to the PRO forum to get you some help on this one.
