MemberHello Robert, we have a tutorial on this here: https://theeventscalendar.com/integrating-wordpress-categories-tags-with-your-events/
Our tutorials page has a lot of neat stuff on it actually: https://theeventscalendar.com/the-events-calendar-for-wordpress-tutorials/
Hope this helps!

MemberHello Craig,
This is really a customization request which is outside the scope of our support forum. However, I have seen one other post about this recently. You would need to do some custom coding, and hopefully the community here can be of assistance to you.
Here is a link to our Themer’s guide: https://theeventscalendar.com/themers-guide-to-the-events-calendar/ which will help direct you on how to do customizations properly.
And here is our technical documentation page: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation
I hope this helps! Sorry I can’t be of much other use to you 🙁

MemberHello Rhonda,
I’m not sure if this is possible without some custom coding. It is definitely not a possibility with the plugin right out of the box.If you’re up for some direction, I can get a higher level support member to steer you in the right direction, but we don’t normally support customization requests, so there wouldn’t be any promises we can help, or help that much.
Let me know! It might also be worth a go to search the forums to see if anyone else has tried to do this and succeeded.

MemberHello Matt, I’ve actually never seen a request like this before – but I’m new here, so hey, what do I know!
I think though, that based on what you’re trying to do, perhaps the CSV importer would work for you? It is in Beta right now, so we can’t guarantee it will work beautifully, but if you write me at pro /at/ tri.be I can get you a copy and you can see if that helps? It should help you add the events to an iCal or Google calendar.
In the mean time, I’ll also ask if this is intended behaviour.
Thanks for your patience!

MemberHello Michael,
You might have seen someone do it in the showcase: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/showcase-2-0/This is not a dream, but it does require custom coding. We can’t really support customization requests, but we do have some great resources you can refer to, or ask your developer to look at:
Here is the Themer’s guide for a start: https://theeventscalendar.com/themers-guide-to-the-events-calendar/
Our technical documentation page is here as well: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation
I hope this helps!

MemberHello Robert,
You’d need to modify the event pages in the code. The best thing I could do is direct you to the Themer’s guide, which should help, since you’ll need to set this up properly so you don’t lose your changes upon an update.
Here you go: https://theeventscalendar.com/themers-guide-to-the-events-calendar/
Thanks!
August 15, 2012 at 2:35 am in reply to: Placement of Featured Image in Individual Event Listing #23666Joyce Grace
MemberHi Louis, (and thank you Abdylas!)
However, the thing is, with the plugin Abdylas suggested, if you set up a “featured image”, it will show in both places – where it is now, and where you put in the event page. That is because it is already coded into the template. So what I think you need to do is grab that featured image part of the page template, and move it to the top.
Have you looked at the tutorial on how to integrate the calendar with Genesis themes? I know you may not be on the Genesis framework, but that tutorial gives A LOT of insight into the principles of customizing the theme. So you would need to start there, and that would tell you which files to open, where to put them, and so on (you’ll want to make sure you do the change in a way that it won’t revert once you update the plugin!).
I will also see if I can get a quick hand on this from some higher up developers. However, since this is customization I’m not sure if they can help out – we’ll see!

MemberHello Quartiers,
Are you saying you applied this fix and it worked for you?
Are you still in need of support on this issue?
I have logged it in our backend system and hopefully it will get fixed in the next release, though I’m not allowed to make any promises.
It would really help to know what exact code you put where to fix it, so I can show this to our developers.
Thanks!

MemberHello Neil,
I’m sorry you’re having this problem. I looked at the threads you showed me, and I see that this was on our radar a while ago and was logged in our system for being fixed. What I’m curious to know now is if you are using the latest version of all our plugins? Have you upgraded WordPress as well?
Also have you set your permalinks to “postname”? If you have, can you try re-set them again?
If none of that works, please write me an e-mail at pro /at/ tri.be with your login credentials, but please make sure to state in the e-mail:
a) you know we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your site after we log in. We will not make changes, we will only look around, but we do need this disclaimer from you.
b) you have updated WordPress and all our plugins and add-ons to their latest version. Also if you can link to this thread that will help me a lot.
If you would like a refund instead, please also write to pro /at/ tri.be and we can get that processed for you.
Thanks!

MemberHello Gail, perhaps you and Mark could team up for a sponsorship? I’ll let you two discuss that. Or perhaps you can jointly hire a developer for it.

MemberThank you so much Andy, and Clif!
I will bring this to the attention of our developers and see if we can get a fix to this, especially some help for Clif in the meantime.Joyce Grace
MemberThanks Steve – that is useful information. In that case, have you at all tried to deactivate all our plugins, then reactivate, starting with Events Calendar, then PRO, then Eventbrite? Sometimes that helps for some strange reason.
If that doesn’t work, can you set up a test environment and try to re-install the Eventbrite plugin, but completely deleting it, and then re-installing it?
I am still going to test your ID on my end, but I have a feeling this is something to do with your set up, especially since you’ve tried multiple IDs and you recall precisely when this started happening.
Thanks!

MemberHello Cliff,
This is a very interesting issue and I will try to test it on my end. It may be a bug in our system.
To get us started with supporting this issue, can you confirm with me you’ve done all of the following?
Updated to the latest version of WordPress?
Updated to the latest versions of our plugins (2.0.8) and all our add-ons?
Try setting your permalinks to ‘postname’ in Settings > Permalinks?
Try refreshing your permalinks by visiting Settings > Permalinks (it does it automatically)?
Also, can you tell me which of our plugins and add-ons you have running on your site right now?
Thanks!

MemberDid you try switching to the default page template?

MemberHello Michelle,
I think you need an API and we haven’t released that yet, but it is coming soon.
In the mean time, you may want to look at this page: https://theeventscalendar.com/wordpress-events-calendar/features/customization/ (probably won’t be A LOT of help…but worth a go)
And our Settings API https://theeventscalendar.com/tribe-settings-api/
I can tell you the calendar uses custom post types – but that should be obvious if you are opening up the files in the plugin folder.
Beyond that this is really a customization issue which we don’t normally support. If someone is available with the skill level to help you out I will try to get them on here to see what they can do, but no promises – very sorry about that.
Do let us know how you make though, because I’m sure the community will benefit from your findings.
