June 16, 2016 at 12:17 pm in reply to: Community Events Edit Screen clearing Categories and #1128089Josh
ParticipantHey Roxanne,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I tested this out and there does appear to be a bug with the category selection. I’ve created a ticket for that one and have added this thread to that ticket. You’ll be notified here as we make progress on this one and get it ready for release.
For the venue issue, once the event is created, the venue gets saved and added to the dropdown that you’re hiding via CSS. However, there should be an “edit venue” link there, does that not show with your customization added?
Thanks!
Josh

This sounds like it is a bit different than the other errors that we have mentioned and noticed prior. Do you have a way to check the server logs (or reach out to your hosting provider to check the logs) to get a little more information on what specifically caused the error?
If it was due to a partial plugin upload, you would see a white screen that we could turn on debugging for and get more detail on where things went wrong. However, since it was a 500 error it doesn’t sound like a partial plugin issue here.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey!
I’ve got this information passed along and a user story has been created describing these particular issues here. We’ll be working to address these particular issues in an upcoming release.
I’ll leave this open to see if there is any immediate feedback/comments from our team.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Jonathan,
Thanks for following up here!
Using that URL structure (http://understandinganxiety.wayahead.org.au/events/map/?tribe-bar-date=2016-07-01) adds a starting point for the map view list of events there. You could still then use the next (and even previous) events links there to continue scrolling through the rest of the events in the month (and beyond).
I might be confused about what you’re hoping to accomplish here though. Would you mind going into a little more detail there?
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Todd,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
You can modify this behavior by adding the following to a “tribe-events.css” file within a “tribe-events” folder in your site’s child theme.
.single-tribe_events .tribe-events-event-image { float:left; margin-right: 20px; } .single-tribe_events .tribe-events-event-meta { clear:both; }Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Cory,

Since you’re on multisite, do you have the plugin network activated or activated just on the individual site? If not, go ahead and try network activating the plugin and see if that helps.
It will most likely give you a license type warning but that will not prevent any of the functionality or access to updates there.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
June 15, 2016 at 12:59 pm in reply to: Admin page for Adding/Editing events no longer shows all fields #1127521Josh
ParticipantHey,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
This definitely seems like a strange issue to be having. Thanks for giving the detail here on the steps you’ve taken so far! This definitely helps to get to the root of the issue a little more quickly.
One thing that does come to mind here that we’ll want to verify is the screen options for the events. Can you verify that if you click on the “Screen Options” tab at the top of the event edit screen that the “The Events Calendar” and “Event Options” items are selected there?
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Teresa,
Thanks for for reaching out to us and giving us some good detail on these issues!
I’m glad you were able to get that first issue resolved. For these other issues, we have noted these as bugs in our current version and will address them in an upcoming release.
I’ve added this thread to our internal ticket for tracking these and you’ll be notified here as we make progress on them and schedule them for a release.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Chad,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Can you check the Event Settings under the Map Settings and verify that the setting there is selected to show the map options for the events? https://cloudup.com/c7mrfa8OGGp
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Matt,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Sure thing! You can definitely search for a month like that within the map view. Using the URL structure http://understandinganxiety.wayahead.org.au/events/map/?tribe-bar-date=2016-07-01 would allow you to show the events in map view starting in July. You can do the same for other months as well as specific dates.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Janet,
Something else that may help here as well would be to also send a backup of your current database for the site. Here is a great walkthrough on how to manage that. You can send that to support[at]theeventscalendar.com and request to have it forwarded to me.
This will give me a much better picture of what is happening here and possibly clean up the files for a re-import and fresh start on the event.
Thanks!
Josh
