    Hello chriswerstiuk,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

You should be able to use the “tribe_is_event_query()” function as a conditional very similar to is_shop() to check whether or not the current page is part of the Events Calendar.

Let me know if this works for what you’re trying to do.

    Thanks!

    Hey,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Our plugin is compatible with most themes however there are many variables that could potentially cause a conflict. For this issue, have you tried following our Testing for Conflicts procedures to see if this is a potential conflict with the theme or maybe another plugin?

Let me know how the testing goes.

    Thanks!

    Hello wickedsimple,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

You can follow the steps provided in our Themer’s Guide to create a new version of the single event template within your child theme. With your “single-event.php” view copied to your theme, you can use the “tribe_get_formatted_cost” function to get the price set for your events.

I’m sorry I wasn’t able to give you a direct response however I hope this was able to point you in the right direction.

    Thanks!

    Hello judyvedder,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

This definitely a strange issue and I definitely understand the frustration. Hopefully we can get this cleared up for you quickly.

First off, since the plugins were updated, can you make sure that both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro are the latest versions (3.7)? Can you also verify for me that the issue is a duplication of the display of events and not that there are now multiple versions of these events displaying within the dashboard?

Also, can you follow the Testing for Conflicts procedure to see if there is a plugin or child theme conflict. If it is a conflict, this can help us to narrow down what the conflict is and if there is anything we need/can do to ensure that our plugin works your plugins.

I’m sorry I wasn’t able to give you a direct response however I hope this was able to point you in the right direction.

    Thanks!

    Hello brandonpence,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

I noticed that your site is currently on localhost and we probably won’t be able to see a live version of what’s going on?

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to replicate this issue on my local machine. There may be a ticket / event setting that is causing this. Do you mind sending me an export file ( “tools” -> “export” ) of the Events custom post type to see if that helps me to replicate the issue on my machine?

One final thought, do you happen to have “Start sale” or “End sale” dates set for your tickets? The current day may be outside of that range causing the filter to be thrown off because those tickets aren’t technically available yet.

    Thanks!

    Hello moiremusic,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

A direct link to the calendar is accessible via the “Events” link within the admin bar. If you’re using pretty permalinks, this URL will be http://yourdomain.com/events (or a different slug if you have the “Events URL slug” setting changed within the calendar’s General settings tab).

There aren’t any shortcodes or template tags that can be currently used to integrate the calendar on different pages, such as the homepage. However, I can suggest a third-party plugin that may be able to help get the calendar displaying on the homepage the way you are wanting.

I’m sorry I wasn’t able to give you a direct solution within our plugin, however I hope this was able to point you in the right direction.

    Thanks!

    Hey Debbie

Thanks for reaching out to us!

You can definitely integrate tickets for our recurring events. There will be a single ticket used for all events within the series of recurring events. So, for example with your scenario above, you would create a recurring event covering Friday, Saturday & Sunday for three weeks. When you create tickets on that event, those tickets will be what is displayed as available for all three weeks of the events.

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions that I can help with before making your purchase please don’t hesitate to ask.

    Thanks!

    Hello jimduncan,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

I’m sorry to hear about the spam issues on your site. I understand how frustrating that can be.

Off the top of my head, I can’t think of a direct way to delete (or stop from being created) venues that were created from spam entries. I’ll have to do a little research and ask the team if there is something we can help out with in that regard. I’ll get back with you shortly.

Out of curiosity, how many spam venues do you estimate that you have in your database.

    Mac,

Were you able to get the plugin working that was offered as a solution in this ticket?

    Thanks!

    Hello nmama,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Can you send me a link to “page 11 of our website and tech tools manual”?

To make sure I’m understanding you, when following the Testing for Conflicts procedures you were able to fix the problem of the “Invalid user_key” error? The remaining error is a broken URL to the event?

Try re-enabling all the plugins excluding the one that you initially believed was causing the conflict. After all other plugins are activated, try going to “Settings” -> “Permalinks” and re-saving your permalink settings. Let me know if this helps with the current issue.

    Thanks!

    Hello juriklaric,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

To make sure I’m understanding the question, it sounds like you have everything working except you don’t want the form for purchasing the tickets to display on the single event view?

If so, you can remove this by following the Themer’s Guide and replacing the “ticket.php” view from the WooTickets plugin within your theme. You can replace it with a blank PHP file to completely remove it from the event template.

Hopefully this helps to point you in the right direction. Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks!

    1. <span style=”line-height: 13px;”>This can be caused by a number of issues. First, ensure that both plugins (The Events Calendar & The Events Calendar Pro) are the latest versions. If your Pro version isn’t, you’ll need to download directly from your tri.be account and upload via FTP. If that isn’t the issue, ensure that the license key isn’t being used by the old development account. Login to your tri.be account and delete the old site from your account. Let me know if these suggestions help.</span>

    Hey kevin,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

It sounds like you’re in need of a scheduling scheduling system that allows your site authors to “reserve” something for a set time? This isn’t something that is built into The Events Calendar plugin. However, you could possibly create something that acts similarly using one of our ticketing plugins. It would take some custom development to get to what you’re describing but would be possible.

I’m sorry I wasn’t able to give you a direct response however I hope this was able to point you in the right direction.

If you have any further questions when considering to purchase our plugins please don’t hesitate to ask.

    Thanks!

    Hello refold,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

This is definitely a strange issue to be having. Were there any changes that were made to the site (or hosting) prior to these events getting randomly created (ex. switching theme, adding new plugins etc.)? Do you recall anything strange that may have happened prior when editing the site (such as stalling of the site when creating an event or going to a blank white screen when trying to add an event)?

Hopefully we can narrow in on what caused that many events to be created and ensure it doesn’t happen again.

In the meantime, you can try this housekeeping plugin on the WordPress.org repository to see if it helps to delete the old events in bulk.

I’m sorry I wasn’t able to give you a direct response however I hope this was able to point you in the right direction.

    Thanks!
