    Hey Susan,

    I apologize for the delayed response. I thought I already responded to your request but must have lost internet connection prior to the response posting.

    I’m unable to replicate this issue on our site. Is this something that you’re currently still experiencing? If so, I’d love to get more information from you regarding this issue. We always appreciate feedback such as this on our site. A couple of quick questions:

    1. Was it all results that were redirecting to the main forum lander or was it specific results?
    2. What was the specific search term you were using that this was happening for?
    3. Which web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc. ) and version are you currently using?
    4. Was there a specific page that you would like to access? If you provide the page title I can send you a direct link to the thread so you’re able to see the information you’re trying to access.

    Thanks again for reaching out to us and I apologize again for the delayed response.

    Thanks!

    Hey Jonathan,

    I tested with the Spanish translations and I’m able to see the “Near” and “Location” strings translated on my site https://cloudup.com/cw-a6nSac15. A couple of things that may help:

    • Does your theme have any customizations where template files have been recreated in your theme?
    • Does the “lang” folder within your PRO plugin files contain both the .po and .mo.
    • Does the issue persist if you switch to a default theme such as TwentyFourteen?

    Let me know if any of this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey,

    Thanks for reaching out!

    This is definitely a great question and worth adding to our UserVoice page.

    In the meantime, you could accomplish this feature using the Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) plugin and a little bit of customization. With the ACF plugin you could create an upload field that is added to the Venue Custom Post Type. You could then use our Themer’s Guide to modify the front-end views of our plugin to have the pins display where you would like within the views.

    Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey Catherine,

    Thanks for reaching out to us!

    Definitely a strange issue to be having. Hopefully we can help to sort this out for you quickly.

    A couple of questions to help us to get more information:

    1. Can you ensure that both your Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO plugins are updated to the latest versions (3.9.x)?
    2. Was there anything that changed on your site prior to this issue coming up? (a plugin added/updated, a theme changed, etc. )
    3. Does the issue persist if you change the “Events Template” (https://cloudup.com/cBaPhRMwxUF) in the Event Settings > Display options to something other than it’s current selection.
    4. Does the issue persist after following the Testing for Conflicts procedures?

    Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey,

    Thanks for reaching out to us!

    You can definitely hide events from the main blog by category. It will involve opening up your theme files and modifying your “functions.php” but the code you’ll need can be found here https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/hide-category-from-calendar-views/.

    You’ll need to modify that slightly to target the specific category that you would like to hide but that snippet should get you most of the way there.

    Let me know if this helps. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

    Thanks!

    Hey Tom,

    Thanks for reaching out to us!

    As far as I am aware, the Follow Up Emails plugin would be the best approach since it does integrate with WooCommerce. However, I don’t believe it has the ability to send emails relative to the event date but this could probably be added with a little bit of custom development.

    Additionally, you could request that this feature be added to our plugin via our UserVoice page.

    I’m sorry I wasn’t able to give you a direct answer to this question but hopefully this will help to get you pointed in the right direction. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

    Thanks!

    Hey,

    Thanks for reaching out to us!

    I took a look at your site and noticed the issue that you’re seeing with the map being set to half the available width (46% width per the CSS file). Digging in, it looks like this is being defined by your current theme and customizations made by the theme within the “events-mod.css” file within the Enfold theme.

    To address this, you can search that CSS file for “.tribe-events-meta-group.tribe-events-meta-group-gmap” and modify the width of the element or you can reach out to the theme developer with this issue to see if they have more detail for a proposed fix.

    Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey!

    Thanks for reaching out to us!

    I’m sorry you’re noticing some issues with the translation of our plugin. I’ve tested on my local site with the German translation and I’m not seeing a default “Calendar of Events” title on the page. Have you tried switching to a default theme to see if the default title is being supplied by your theme’s template files?

    Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey Alonso,

    Thanks for reaching out to us!

    I’m not sure I’m following the concern with snippet that you’ve provided. Can you provide a screenshot of the feed or the content showing more detail on the issue that you’re seeing?

    I’m sorry I’m not able to address your concern at the moment but hopefully the issue will become clear with a little more detail.

    Thanks!

    Hey Erich,

    No problem! Happy to be able to help 🙂

    Re-saving permalinks is actually a solution for many different WordPress issues particularly when dealing with odd behavior with broken links or pages. It’s a great “solution” to have up your sleeve :).

    I’ll go ahead and close this ticket. If you need anything else please don’t hesitate to open a new one.

    Thanks!

    Hey Krystine,

    Thanks for following up with us.

    Unfortunately with the current information we do have, I’m unable to replicate the issue on my local install. I am able to create and view recurring events without any error or odd behavior. This means there must be something different that is causing the error and this is usually due to additional code that is added to the site via the currently active theme or via other plugins.

    If you’re unable to deactivate plugins to test for a conflict on your live site or on a staging copy of your site, could you try setting up a new install on your current hosting plan? Most hosts come with 1 click installs to allow for quick creation of new WordPress sites. You could then create a new site to see if the issue persists with a clean WordPress install, no additional plugins,  and a default theme. You could then add the plugins used on your main site as well as the theme one by one to see if anything causes the current errors that you’re seeing.

    Let me know if this helps.

    Logan,

    Thanks for reaching out but it’s best to open a new ticket even if a current issue seems similar. Based on the information you’ve provided it sounds like this might be a little different than the initial issue brought up by Krystine. To ensure we’re able to give both you and Krystine our full attention when addressing your topics we request that you open a new ticket.

    Thanks!

    Hey,

    Thanks for following up.

    It looks like those strings are actually defined within the PRO plugin within the “tribe-geoloc.class.php” file. It has the Text Domain for translation of “tribe-events-calendar-pro”. You should be able to modify this with the POT file for the PRO plugin.

    Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey Sharlene,

    No problem.

    You can modify these by adding the following code into your theme’s “functions.php” file. When adding, be sure that you add it before the closing “?>” tag at the bottom of that file.

    add_filter( 'tribe_the_next_event_link', 'custom_next_link' );
    function custom_next_link() {
    return tribe_get_next_event_link( 'Next Event »' );
    }

    add_filter( 'tribe_the_prev_event_link', 'custom_prev_link' );
    function custom_prev_link() {
    return tribe_get_next_event_link( '« Previous Event' );
    }

    Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!
