ParticipantI just paid for and downloaded PRO…and it isn’t working like it should. I set up two recurring events but they are only showing for the “initial” date; none of the other dates show. I don’t believe I programmed anything strange.

ParticipantHey Krystine,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
This is definitely a strange issue to be having. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of it quickly.
A couple of quick questions to help us get more information:
- Are you also using the latest version of our core Events Calendar plugin (v. 3.9.1). The core plugin and premium add-ons all have to be on the same version number to work properly together.
- Have you tried following our Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure there isn’t a plugin or theme conflict that is causing the plugin not to work as desired?
Let me know if this helps or if you find anything when following the conflict procedures.
Thanks!

ParticipantBoth are updated to the latest version. This is a church website accessed frequently and the plugins I have installed are critical to the site. I can’t turn off and/or remove any. I had issues in the past with my cache plugin so I disabled it but still nothing. I can’t get the recurring events to show up. It also takes a long time to load when changing from month to month.

ParticipantI’m having a similar issue, I see the pro features in settings, but when creating a new event or editing existing event, I see:
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONALITY Looking for additional functionality including recurring events, ticket sales, publicly submitted events, new views and more? Check out the available add-ons.February 20, 2015 at 9:18 pm #944071Josh
ParticipantHey Krystine,
Thanks for following up with us.
Unfortunately with the current information we do have, I’m unable to replicate the issue on my local install. I am able to create and view recurring events without any error or odd behavior. This means there must be something different that is causing the error and this is usually due to additional code that is added to the site via the currently active theme or via other plugins.
If you’re unable to deactivate plugins to test for a conflict on your live site or on a staging copy of your site, could you try setting up a new install on your current hosting plan? Most hosts come with 1 click installs to allow for quick creation of new WordPress sites. You could then create a new site to see if the issue persists with a clean WordPress install, no additional plugins, and a default theme. You could then add the plugins used on your main site as well as the theme one by one to see if anything causes the current errors that you’re seeing.
Let me know if this helps.
Logan,
Thanks for reaching out but it’s best to open a new ticket even if a current issue seems similar. Based on the information you’ve provided it sounds like this might be a little different than the initial issue brought up by Krystine. To ensure we’re able to give both you and Krystine our full attention when addressing your topics we request that you open a new ticket.
Thanks!

ParticipantActually, it’s not an issue, the recurring feature was there (just not noticeable as it was just a added dropdown from free version). I was getting confused cause I assumed the functionality would be where it says “ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONALITY” and since under that section it stated that I need to go to your addons link to get this enabled, I figured it wasn’t working.
Everything is working fine.
Sorry for the confusion.February 24, 2015 at 10:41 am #944570Krystine
ParticipantI can see them on the backend but they don’t show up on the calendar.

ParticipantHey Logan,
I’m glad you were able to find the recurring events! That is actually some great feedback on the expectation of where PRO features are to be displayed based on that prompt within the dashboard. I’ll make sure it gets passed along to the team. Thanks!
Krystine,
Did you have a chance to check out the previous response?

ParticipantJosh,
I figured it out. But is there a way to only show the recurring event once in the back end instead of having each occurrence show up? Other events are being “lost” in between all of the recurring since they go out two years.

ParticipantHey Krystine,
Awesome! I’m glad you were able to get that issue resolved.
Unfortunately there isn’t a great way to remove them from the backend of the site, however we have added a great filter option above the events that allow you to narrow in and filter through other events. You can see the filters just above the event listing within your dashboard https://cloudup.com/cYWZFENOUJg.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
