ParticipantOk thanks Barry. Totally understand not being able to offer full compatibility for IE 8 where it is 5 years old and would only effect Windows XP users (where it is the last version compatible with the OS).
With that said, I’ve confirmed there are multiple issues when viewing TEC with IE 9 (both on my production site as well as a clean install with the default WP theme and no other plugins activated).
Issues: For the Tribe Events Bar, The Location (Near) search field doesn’t not work: all events are returned. Additionally, when entering values in either the Date (Events from) or Search fields, the first page displays the correct search results, but when clicking “Next Event” the search is reset and all events are shown.
Since IE 9 is the last version available for Windows Vista (which is supported by Microsoft until 2017), I hope TEC would be fully compatible with that version of IE.
Can you please take a look into those bugs and advise?
Thanks,

ParticipantOk thanks Barry! Appreciate the help and thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

ParticipantLooks like post_author is the only field that needs to be changed, so I’m good there. And that snippet works too! I’m seeing past events in the list now 🙂
Only thing is the list is displaying the older events last (newest to oldest). Since the columns of the My Event list can’t be sorted by the user, is there something else I could add to the snippet to sort the list by oldest to newest date?irishrunner16
ParticipantOk thanks Casey!

ParticipantHi Barry. Thanks for the quick response! The issue is unfortunately still persisting even with the default 2012 theme and all plugins deactivated.

ParticipantAhh, didn’t think of doing that! Sounds like using that plugin would definitely be a workaround if there’s not a more direct option available. Thanks acoustical!

ParticipantOh man…do I feel dumb! Just realized that I need to put the custom URL inside of the existing brackets, like so: home_url(http://www.myurl.com)
Sorry for the unnecessary post…hope you got a laugh out of this as I did (once I realized the simple mistake)!

ParticipantSame here; this would be great to know how to do.

ParticipantHey Rob, totally understand. Thanks for the heads up!

Participant@Carole – Thanks for the offer! I was able to get someone on our team here to help with creating a SQL, which allowed us to import our additional fields and get them associated with their respective events. So we won’t end up needing to hire a developer to extend the plugin at this time. However, I’ll definitely keep your contact info on file and if that changes in the future I’ll be in touch. Regardless, hope that you are able to get a solution for your situation!
@Casey – thanks for the info. Great to know that code contributions are always being considered. With that said I’m all set here, but I’ll let Pickleshy speak for herself/Carole. Thanks!

ParticipantThanks Leah! You guys are great! I sent an email to pro at tri.be but got an autoresponse saying to respond via the forum. I forwarded my original email without a subject, so hopefully you get that one. Thanks again and have a great day!

ParticipantThanks Barry. Was hoping that since the log/result for each item uploaded is already being displayed in the browser there might be a more straightforward way to view the data. I unfortunately don’t have the know-how to setup my own logger, so I’ll have to see what other workarounds there might be. Perhaps even a simple copy/paste will be possible if the page doesn’t redirect too quickly!

ParticipantHi Pickleshy/Carole,
Thanks for the heads up on this! We’re looking to have the importer extended ASAP as we’re in the process of moving our existing events calendar to WordPress/TEC PRO. So provided I can find someone that is familiar with TEC plugin and the cost is within our budget, we’ll likely move forward with extending it soon. If/when we do, I’ll definitely post about it here to inform Modern Tribe and any users such as yourself that would be interested in gaining the additional functionality.

ParticipantNevermind…turns out the custom order IS working on the Filter Bar as well. Sorry for the unnecessary post!

ParticipantPerfect, thanks Kelly!
