Hey Barry, that’s pretty much what I’m looking for, thanks so much! Is there any way to customize the output so that the title and categories are displayed on one line?

Ok thanks for the info. Appreciate you adding it to the backlog!

Hi Barry. Oh ok, that is great news. I hadn’t added my tags yet, so I went ahead and added 8 of them and it looks like they are all displaying, alphabetically as well. So that is exactly what I am looking for. As long as there is not a limitation on how many entries will be displayed in the dropdown (I’m going to set state abbreviations as my tags…short-term workaround for my users to search for all events in a state), then I should be all set.

Thanks very much Brook. Happy to help! If it’s possible to update this thread when a fix is released, that’d be much appreciated. Either way I’ll keep an eye out on the blog, etc.

    Hi Brook,
Were you able to reproduce this error? Thanks.

    Hey Leah,
Thanks for the info! I’ll check with Poedit to see if there’s any bulk copy option. If there is any such function, I’ll let you know!
It turns out I was using an older .pot file, so updating to 3.5 fixed the issue with that translation not being displayed on the front-end. Everything is looking good now.
The translation I made was actually for English (United States), as I needed to change some terminology to better fit my audience. So unfortunately I don’t think that’d help with a UK translation. But if I do any “real” translation in the future I’ll definitely let you know.

Thanks again and have a great weekend!

PS – I know you guys had said a few weeks ago you’d be sending something to me in the mail. I’m certainly not asking for anything at all (heck, I was surprised by the generous offer at the start!); just wanted to let you know that I hadn’t received anything yet…not that it was anything insured, but in case it was, just wanted to give you a heads up so you wouldn’t have paid the to only have it get lost in the mail system. It wouldn’t be the first time they’ve lost something! 🙂

PS – I got my en_US.po/.mo files created – if a bulk copy option does exist I’d still be interested in that for future reference 🙂 – and my new terminology is showing up fine on PRO and Community event, except the “Narrow Your Results” in the Filter Bar is not showing my translation. Any idea why that might be? I’ve got the files named as tribe-events-filter-view-en_US.po and tribe-events-filter-view-en_US.mo and tried clearing my cache, but its still not showing the translation for that string. I’m stumped!

    Hey Barry,
You got it; that’s what exactly what I’m seeing (literally) on my end as well.

    Thanks,

    Hey Brook,
Sorry, you’ll need to have the Filter Bar plugin activated in order to reproduce the error of the entire search being reset upon clicking “next events.” I tried deactivating it and was able to continue with the current search, but when the Filter Bar (and Community Events) plugins are activated alongside TEC PRO, all searches are reset in IE 9 as soon as the “next event” button is clicked.

Hopefully you are able to reproduce the error with that config. Let me know…Thanks!

Actually the issue is that search is completely broken in IE 9. I wish it was only cosmetic (that’d make it a minor issue for my users as well), but if you perform a search and then click on “next events” not only are the fields shown as blank, the search results themselves are also reset.

For example, if you go to my clean install with the default WP theme and no other plugins activated), try typing in “classic” as the keyword search term, or selecting May 4 as the date. The first page returns the correct results, but after clicking on “next page” the entire search is reset. I’d be with you on the cosmetic issue being low priority, but since the calendar is not usable beyond the first page of results, I hope this is something that can be addressed ASAP. Please advise. Thanks!

Thanks Brook. That does offer a temporary fix for the Location search.

What about the Date or Keyword search results resetting when clicking the “Next Events” links? Can you please try to reproduce those errors and let me know if a fix is/will be available?

    Thanks!
    Sean
