Could someone please confirm if I can place a copy of the English Translation file (“tribe-events-community.pot” in the /lang/ folder) in my theme folder? Or do I need to edit the original and update it anytime the plugin is updated? Thanks!
Hey Casey. I’m actually working on a local install until I get my site ready to go “live.” Is there anything in the source code that might help? I’m wondering if something in the CSS could be setting the images to 100% width of the divs?

Update: I tried doing a template override on single-event.php and was able to get that modified to display the Medium sized image using <?php echo tribe_event_featured_image( null, ‘medium’ ) ?>
However, when I tried to edit list/single-event.php and photo/single-event.php with <?php echo tribe_event_featured_image( null, ‘thumbnail’ ) ?> to set those to display the thumbnail, it appears that something else in TEC is overriding my edit, because the image dimensions are being set to 210px on List view, and 305px on Photo view. If I right click to “view image” the browser will display the correct (thumbnail) sized image.
Could someone point me in the right direction? I’m lost as to what other file is controlling the List and Photo view dimensions to be 210px and 305px.

Thanks so much. To ensure the changes I make to the .pot file are not overwritten when updating the plugins, would I need to save a copy of the file in my theme and edit that (as I would when doing a template override)?
Thanks so much Chris! This definitely helps point me in the right direction. Given that I’m a newbie with all of this, I’m hoping you (or someone else) might be able to provide some further assistance on a couple of the items:
1. For the English Translation file, is that the “tribe-events-community” PowerPoint file in the /lang/ folder?
2. Being a newbie coder I’ll have to try and wrap my head around that post or wait for a more detailed tutorial from Modern Tribe.
3. Thanks. Looks like that might be a possibility for me to try myself or at least hiring a developer.

5. The topic you referenced discusses commenting out an entire module on the submit an event form. How would I go about removing a single field? For example, if I want to remove the “phone” field from the Event Location Details, would I need to edit \wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar-community-events\views\community\modules\venue.php?Thanks again and Happy New Year!
– SeanHi Barry. Like Jeremy, I am eagerly awaiting the release of the Filters Bar add-on. I’m building and putting a new website “live” in mid-January, which will require the added search options found in the Filters Bar. We’ll have thousands of events (running races such as 5K’s, marathons, etc), so if it is possible to get a copy of the beta code that would be beyond helpful. As with Jeremy, I’d be happy to test on my staging server and offer feedback leading up to the official release. Hope you guys will consider this since we’re up against some deadlines.
