    Yeah, unfortunately I am still experiencing the issue even after changing permalinks back to my custom structure (/%category%/%postname%/).

    Hey Casey. Changing the permalinks back to “default” fixed the issue. However, I need to have pretty permalinks on my site. Knowing what the cause of the issue is, is there a fix in the works for this bug or a workaround?

    Thanks Brook! I created a blank page template in my child theme and that got the default layout displaying correctly. However, my theme was displaying the calendar as only an excerpt, so I tried applying the fix from https://theeventscalendar.com/garbled-events-page-fix/. That seems to have worked.

    With that said I now need to remove a few sections that are showing up on my calendar pages by using my page template. I was able to locate the snippet for removing the breadcrumbs. Now I just need to find the snippets to hide the post meta and pagination from my custom template, as I do not want them to appear beneath the calendar.

    Hi Brook,

    Thanks for the info. I can try adding a custom page template to see if the fix is as simple as that. Can you please let me know if I need to include any code for The Events Calendar in my template? Or will that automatically be added when I set my custom template in TEC > Settings > Display > Events Template?

    Hi Leah,
    Thanks for the additional info. That makes sense. I should be able to follow the Getting Started to create a translation for my customized English language, but if I encounter any trouble I will reach out.

    Hi Barry. Yes, if you can’t comment on the Filters Bar, please move this thread to Community Events, as I’d like to know how I can sort the list there. Thanks!

    Hi Leah,

    Thanks very much for explaining the pros/cons of each method. I am using Community Events, so although the English Translations method will be more work, I think that’s what I’ll need.

    With that said, I want to make sure I’m understanding that method correctly. I know you provided a link to the “Getting Started” post for Translations, but do those steps apply since I would be wanting to edit the English file?

    Good morning Casey,
    I’ll definitely add my vote to that feature request. Sorry that I missed it prior to posting this here.
    In the meantime, though I’m no developer, I would really appreciate any thoughts you have in terms of how I could go about tackling this myself. I see there is validation code in /community/edit-event.php. If I wanted to make Venue Name required, would I need to add something similar to /modules/venue.php?

    Ah, success! I placed that in {my theme folder}/tribe-events/pro/tribe-events-pro.css and it worked in for all the views. As always thanks a bunch for your help!
