ParticipantHey Ken,
Okay, thanks for the information here. I think a permissions reset might be in order – if you don’t know how to do this, you can contact your webhost support to do it, it’s usually a super-quick change for them to make.
You’ll want your WordPress installation directory to have its permissions set to 755, recursively, and be owned by the web server.
Send that above sentence over to your web host, or reset the permissions to that yourself if you’re able to – that could be the problem.
Thanks,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Mike,
Could’ve indeed been caching. Come on back if issues arise again. 🙂
Cheers!

ParticipantHey Sean,
When you describe this:
On the demo of tickets for woo commerce
Can you clarify exactly what you’re referring to? Share a link to where you found this demo, and describe where the spinner is on that page you link to.
Just want to be 100% certain I’m addressing the same thing you are! 🙂
Thanks,

ParticipantHey Hervé,
What version do you have of both of the following items:
• The Events Calendar
• Events Calendar PROIf they’re not 3.10.1, please update both versions to that.
Also, it seems you’ve changed the folder name of the plugin, by changing it to TEC-PRO. Why did you do this, and if you revert it to the original name (which you can see if you go to http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads and download a copy of the plugin), does anything improve? I know that seems like a minor detail, but just not sure why this error would appear on your site but nowhere else.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey folks,
Our support/developer guru Brian gave me a heads-up that we’ve actually just recently found a bug here.
The bug is the exact behavior described here: “All Day” events get imported twice, and/or don’t get saved as “Published”.
We’re working hard on a fix and will have it ready for a public release as soon as possible!
I’m sorry I was unaware of this thus far, but your patience with this issue has been super appreciated. Please stay tuned for a release, we’re working on a fix and take this bug quite seriously.
Thank you!

ParticipantHey Cynthia,
Did you try the “Events Template” settings changes I recommended, or running through the Testing for Conflicts steps outlined here? → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
Both tests might be useful here – thank you for the udpate and for your patience with this so far. Let us know if you can run through the two tests I recommended above, and if so, what you find.
Thank you!

ParticipantHello,
Do you mean that the “Allow Anonymous Submissions” checkbox is checked? Here’s a screenshot of that option for reference → https://cloudup.com/cImmaIdMVCl
Also, can you update The Events Calendar and Community Events, and Events Calendar PRO if you have it, all to 3.10.1?
Thank you!
George
ParticipantDo you want to keep all existing Events Calendar styles, and just load some extra styles in addition to the Events Calendar’s own styles?
Or do you want to REPLACE the existing Events Calendar styles with your own stylesheet altogether?
July 6, 2015 at 1:16 pm in reply to: Customizing the html ticket that gets sent to the purchaser. #976274George
Participantif someone has purchased 10 tickets (like our board members will do for a fundraiser), they will want to send 2 tickets to one couple, 2 tickets to another etc.
How is this specific dilemma resolved or improved by having PDFs instead? If the solution is “Well, they’ll print out the pdfs”, how does printing out the emails not solve the problem in the same way?
If someone is buying 10 tickets for other people, the burden of communication about that seems to be on them to say “hey, these are your 2 tickets”. Is that correct? Then people can print, cut out their own tickets, etc. Which seems to be the case if there were .pdfs as well, is that right?
Thanks for your feedback here!

ParticipantHi Cindy,
Okay, thank you for clarifying things here a bit – I thought before that you were describing things that needed to be imported as custom meta, but yes the Event Cost field should be fine to import on its own.
As for the tags, however, notice the list of items you gave (and that we ourselves give): event name, description, start date, start time, end date, end time, venue name, organizer name, event cost, event phone, event category (1 or more, separated by commas) and event website.
Tags are not there, and are different than categories, so the “type” filter should be looking for categories. If you’re not importing categories, but are importing tags, then those tags will not show up as categories in the category filter.
I hope this is the sort of thing you’re describing – let me know if this helps at all.
And two things to mention on the side: first, apologies for the delayed response over the three-day holiday and such. And secondly, thank you so much for your continued patience with this issue. I’m eager to help you here and try to clarify what’s possible, what’s not, and help out with whatever I can do to help close the gap between these things for your site.
Thank you!

ParticipantHey there,
Sorry you’ve run into this behavior on your site, it’s odd behavior indeed. I’m struggling to think of a time when I’ve seen this behavior, where one specific Calendar view doesn’t load but another one does…
I took a close look at your site and tried switching to different views, etc. – I didn’t notice any JavaScript errors, all the page resources were loading fine, there was no 404 status being returned from the page, but when I viewed the HTML of your site, there was just literally no content being pulled into the content area in Photo View.
I specify this behavior because, while it sounds basically like a repetition of what you said when describing the problem, this specific lack of HTML altogether means that:
- There isn’t an issue where the content is loading, but being accidentally hidden by CSS or something.
- There isn’t an issue where the content is loading, but JavaScript is prevent its display.
Those are the most common sources of problems like this, so to best troubleshoot this problem, I think the best step is to run through the “Testing for Conflicts” steps we have outlined here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
If you run through those, let us know what you find and we can hopefully start some better investigation from there.
Thank you!
George(And apologies for the long-ish explanation, I just wanted to give some background about why we’re jumping to “Testing for Conflicts” right away! 🙂 )

ParticipantHello,
You say:
I am using a multilangual site
Can you elaborate on exactly how you’re running this multilingual site? Are you using the WPML plugin, for example?
Next:
Suddenly, the calendar stopped working
Can you clarify what you mean by “suddenly”? Did you make a set of plugin and/or theme updates, for example, and then after these updates it stopped working? Or was it very literally just working one day, then you woke up the next day and it stopped working?
In the meantime here, one quick fix you can try is to head to Settings > Permalinks in your admin, and simply click “Save Changes” without actually changing anything on that settings page. This seems weird, but is a little “trick” within WordPress to refresh permalinks across your site, which might help here.
Thank you! 🙂

ParticipantHey Alan,
Thank for reaching out. To be clear, do you mean the filter I highlighted in this screenshot? → https://cloudup.com/c3NQcsDPRcw
(The URL where I took that screenshot is http://wpshindig.com/events/list/, for reference)
If so, then adding the following CSS at the bottom of your theme’s style.css file should do the trick:
div.tribe-bar-date-filter {
display: none !important;
}
If that filter is not what you mean, can you elaborate on what you are talking about in a bit more detail?
Thank you!

ParticipantHey Magnus,
This is the correct and default functionality of the widget – on page load, it loads to the Current Month. When you’re on a specific single-event page, like the URL you provided, this does not change and the single page will show the event you go to, but the widget will still go to the Current Month.
Does that make sense? If not, or you have other questions here or feel like I’m misunderstanding your issue, let me know!
Thank you 🙂

ParticipantHey Mike,
I’m not quite sure what’s happening here, and am sorry about the frustrations you’ve had with this so far – if possible, could you do a thorough pass through the troubleshooting steps we have outlined here? → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
After each step, clear your browser cache and try heading to your Events page there. What behavior do you find? Does anything improve, worsen, etc.? Is everything the same?
Now, this process may seem tedious, but a few things: first of all, it’s quicker to go through than it seems at first glance, I swear! 🙂
But more importantly, it’s the best step to do here because I took a close look at your site and did not find any obvious JavaScript errors. A warning about the Google Maps API would appear a few times, but that’s an “error” I’ve seen many times before that doesn’t cause problems, especially not ones like this.
The only anomaly on your site, in fact, arose when I refreshed it a few times watching the “Network” tab. Even here, I only noticed one thing – I don’t even know if it’s related, but take a look at this screenshot: https://cloudup.com/cxa4AxrmlYV
Notice how “be_theme_options_css” loads a lot slower than anything else on your site? It’s loading tremendously slow, and as the name implies, it seems to hold some CSS values, so that could be related here. I didn’t see it time out myself yet, but if it’s taking so long to load it is very possible that many times it also just completely times out and doesn’t load at all – hence the literal appearance of some styles seeming to be missing…
Just an idea. But to truly dig deep here, those troubleshooting steps I linked above are the best step.
Let us know if you can do those steps, and if so, what you find.
Thank you!
