ParticipantIt is not in the pipeline at this time—to vocalize your desire for this feature, though, we would love to hear about it in more detail! Post any ideas like this on our “UserVoice” page, where the idea can be “voted on” by other users and such → http://tribe.uservoice.com
We often incorporate ideas from this page into our plugins, so post there and this could end up in our pipeline.
Cheers!

ParticipantHow about the ability to email attendees of an event prior to the event?
Hey Charles,
Our plugins don’t provide any custom-emailing functionality, but you can export the list of attendees and then import all of their emails into some other email-newsletter application to mail them all.
I hope this helps,

ParticipantThank you for changing this!
I took a look in Firefox, Safari, and Chrome, and actually found that the Photo View loaded fine.
In your original post here, you wrote this:
I am unable to have Photo View as a default in my site
Can you elaborate a bit on what your specific issues are?
Also, can you share a screenshot of the issue? You can do so by uploading the screenshot to Imgur.com, Flickr.com, CloudUp.com, or any similar image-hosting site; then just share the links to those images here and I’ll take a look.
(If you’re not sure how to take the screenshot, if you simply Google “how to take a screenshot” for your operating system and browser you should find numerous simple methods!)
Thank you for your patience here!

ParticipantHi Danny,
Thank you for testing!
The problem in your screenshot is caused by your theme and/or your other plugins.
If that specific issue persists on your site, then the only thing I could recommend is to leave ALL plugins deactivated EXCEPT The Events Calendar. Then, activate the Twenty Sixteen theme.
When your site is in this state, check out the issue and see if it persists. If it does, then unfortunately the issue could be happening because of something from your web host, because this is not an error I can reproduce and is always the result of a code conflict. 🙁
I’m sorry to disappoint about the nature of this bug!
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @Robokev,
Thank you for the update here, and for confirming the issue persists regardless of your timezone setting.
I am in the same timezone, actually, and have tried both settings. I still do not produce the error. 🙁
I agree that this is frustrating! I’ve escalated this thread and will see if one of the developers on our team can reproduce this. It sounds like a bug is still persisting, which we will try and resolve as fast as possible. The timeline for that is 2–4 weeks at best, unfortunately, due to the development and testing we have to do. It could be longer, but this is just a tentative time range.
I’m sorry about this! The information you’ve shared is detailed and we will try to fix this as soon as we can.
We will continue investigating and hopefully be able to release a fix in our next maintenance release.
I’m sorry for the trouble, @robokev.
Sincerely,

ParticipantThanks for clarifying your hosting situation, Jürgen.
We’ve uncovered a bug here and are working hard on a solution—I agree an empty console is nice, and we’re working on a fix to make that happen!
I don’t have a specific ETA for when that fix will arrive, but hopefully in the next few weeks or so.
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Mani,
We would indeed love to support this eventually, though I don’t have any specific ETA for when this support would arrive. 🙁
It will hopefully arrive in the coming months. I’m sorry that I don’t have a more specific release date!
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantNo worries! Best of luck with your project—I’ll close this thread for now but feel free to open a new thread on our free support forums any time → http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantNo problem. Sorry to disappoint a bit!
I’ll close this thread for now, but open a new thread if we can ever help with anything else.
Thank you!

ParticipantHey Benjamin,
Thanks for reaching out!
Sorry for the trouble here. We totally get the importance of a test site—unfortunately our Personal Licenses only allow for one domain name, so the best option for updating the code on the test site is to just perform a manual update whenever a new version is ready.
You can get the latest code any time here: http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads
Just perform manual updates there, and leave the license key fields on your test site blank. This will NOT affect plugin functionality in any way whatsoever.
I hope this helps!
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Stephanie,
Thanks for reaching out!
You can indeed customize the emails sent by Event Tickets, but it will require custom coding.
To learn how to customize these emails, you should first read our Themer’s Guide here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
Then, use those principles to make customized versions of these files within your Event Tickets plugin files:
• event-tickets/src/views/email.php
• event-tickets/src/views/attendees-email.phpBest of luck with your cusotmizing!

ParticipantHey Rob,
Thank you for reaching out!
This is an interesting feature, but our plugins unfortunately do not provide this feature:
All events are open for members to join, the only thing they have to do is sign up for it.
So the client wishes to use event calender, but with a simple “attending/not attending” button.
Kind of like what facebook uses for events.I’m sorry to disappoint. 🙁 There is no way to make our plugins support this feature without extensive code customization at this time.
Let me know what you think and if there’s anything else I can try to help with!
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @veruska,
Sorry to hear about these issues! And for the delayed reply—I’m curious, can you temporary remake the Photo View your “default view” so that I can see the problem live?
When I go to your site, List View is currently the default; when I switch to Photo View, it works fine, and on my own site I do not have problems with Photo View as the default.
I know that the view is broken and so you might not want that on your site—however, there isn’t another way for me to try to and identify the problem.
If you can change the default view to Photo View temporarily, I will work quickly to try and keep the problem on your site for as short a time as possible. Let me know!
Thank you!

ParticipantHey Brandon,
Thanks for reaching out!
You can import events into one parent category, but there are unfortunately two limitations at present:
• All of the imported events will go into this one category.
• No, there is no subcategory support.
I’m really sorry about both facts! 🙁 We’re hoping to improve this in the coming months and beyond, but these are the the current limitations and unfortunately are going to take a significant amount of time for us to improve these features.
I hope this information, while a bit of a bummer, is clear and helpful—let me know if that’s the case, or if there’s anything else I can try to help with!
Thank you,
George -
