    Hallo sales,

for a customer I’m investigating the different Event plug-ins and my choice has fallen on The Event Calendar plug-in.

While there are so many problems with not functioning plug-ins the procedure I always follows is first testing a free version of the plug-in if it does it job.

So I have installed the free The Event Calender plug-in and added venue’s, organisers, categories and events.

Hopefully then I looked at the result at the given link: https://www.dannyvermeeren.nl/Online2/evenementen/ but no events where listed at all.

I went trough the standard troubleshooting process of switching to a standard WP Theme, switch off all plug-ins, no results stil the same problem.

    I’m using:
    WP 4.4.2
    Canvas 5.9.19
    Visual Composer 4.11

Before buying the Pro version and the additional Add-ons it is important that this problem is solved.

Also for me it is a way to test how the efficient support is working in case of any future technical problems.

Thanks for your help and answer in advance.

    Hi Danny,

Thanks for reaching out. There are numerous potential problems on your site that could be affecting the functionality of that events page.

To get started on figuring out the problem, can you share your site’s complete, un-edited system information with us? Here’s how → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    Thank you,
    George

    Thank you for this!

There is a discrepancy here in your event URLs—what I mean is that your site’s URL is listed as this:

Then, your site’s Events URL slug is listed as this:

    • evenementen

However, the link to your events page that you shared is this:

    1. Where is the “online2” coming from?

    2. The events slug CANNOT be a sub-folder. It cannot be /online2/evenementen, for example—it can only be /evenementen

    3. If you disable whatever is adding that online2 sub-folder to the slug, so that https://www.dannyvermeeren.nl/Online2/evenementen/ becomes https://www.dannyvermeeren.nl/evenementen/, does anything improve?

    Thank you,
    George

    Hi George,

The /Online2 folder is added by my technical guy because its then easy to have a sandbox and life environment.

I will check this out with him and let you know.

Thx so far, hope we can solve it now.

    Regards
    Danny

It is still not working, please refer to this print screen

We went back to the development site so it is now as I first contacted you.

I really hope that this info give you some direction to solve this, because we really want to use this plug-in.

    Regards
    Danny

    Hi Danny,

    Thank you for testing!

The problem in your screenshot is caused by your theme and/or your other plugins.

If that specific issue persists on your site, then the only thing I could recommend is to leave ALL plugins deactivated EXCEPT The Events Calendar. Then, activate the Twenty Sixteen theme.

When your site is in this state, check out the issue and see if it persists. If it does, then unfortunately the issue could be happening because of something from your web host, because this is not an error I can reproduce and is always the result of a code conflict. 🙁

I’m sorry to disappoint about the nature of this bug!

    Thank you,
    George
