MemberHi there, Torsten! Welcome back to the forums. 🙂
The easiest way to add fields to the Community Events form is with The Events Calendar PRO. The PRO add-on includes a feature that allows you to add custom fields to events, including the Community Events form.
Otherwise, adding a new field would take some custom development. One way might be to use Advanced Custom Fields or Gravity Forms to create the field, then add it to your submission form. However, then you’d need to find a way to capture that information on submission and return the value somewhere in the system.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberSure thing! the template you’re looking for is located in: /plugins/events-calendar-pro/views/pro/photo/single-event.php.
Copy that file, then:
- Create a new folder in your theme files call tribe-events
- Create another folder in that one called pro
- Create yet another folder in that one called photo
- Drop in your copied file and modify it
These steps are more thoroughly outlined in our Themer’s Guide, which I definitely suggest checking out. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Rob! Thanks for getting in touch.
There are a couple of ways I think you could go about tackling this.
One way is to use a third-party plugin to redirect your event links to a product.
Another way is to override the calendar template and modify it so the links target your products instead. This route is quite a bit trickier, for sure.
I wish we had something that helped support this for you right out of the box, but I’m afraid that’s not possible at the moment. If this is a feature you’d like us to consider, I’d suggest posting it to our UserVoice page, where we take new feature requests.
Cheers!

MemberHi there, and thanks for getting in touch!
I will say that getting the Filter Bar into other pages can be quite tricky and requires a fair amount of custom development that we’re unable to support here in the forums. That said, I’d be happy to try to point you in the right direction if I can. 🙂
The trick is to make sure the styles and scripts for the bar are loaded into the page template you are targeting. Here is a snippet that provides a nice example of how to do that and might be a good starting point for you.
There’s also a nice post written by someone who was able to get the bar on a homepage. This might be another good source for you to check out.
Sorry I don’t have more of a concrete solution for you here, but I hope this gives you a good head start in the right direction. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Roxy! Thanks for getting in touch. 🙂
Good question. Yes, The Events Calendar PRO is different than The Events Calendar that typically comes bundled with some themes. PRO adds a suite of advanced features, such as recurring events, custom fields, and additional calendar views, among other things.
The other add-ons provide even more additional features that PRO does not. For example, the Facebook Events add-on allows you to import events from Facebook on a one-time or recurring basis.
Does this help clarify things a bit and answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHello there, Angus! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums. 🙂
Yes, the Community Events add-on does in fact create a page where your visitors can submit events to be published on your calendar. You can find the URL for this page in your settings under Events > Settings > Community, but by default, it should be: [your-site]/events/community/add
What Community Events does not do is add a button to that page for you. That’s probably where there is a little bit of a misunderstanding. 🙂
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHello there, Adam! Thanks for getting in touch and for the kind words about the plugin. We’re stoked you’re loving the free version so far. 🙂
Good question. Yes, The Events Calendar PRO will add a recurring events feature that should help you out here. Create one event, set it as a recurring event that repeats over the 4 days, then go through and individually edit each event.
I will note that individually editing a recurring instance will break it out of the series, but it will definitely help you publish your events much more efficiently.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

MemberHey there and welcome back to the forums–nice to see you again. 🙂
Can you confirm that your multi-day event is properly configured? I tried creating the same event on my setup and it seemed to display correctly when I imported the .ics file for it to my calendar applications. Here’s a screenshot of the date and time settings I used, in case that helps.
Cheers!

MemberThat’s certainly a good question, but would require a level of custom development that I’m afraid is beyond what we can support here in the forums.
One suggestion is build your own query to display event just for the current day. Here’s a tutorial on how to use tribe_get_events() to build a custom query that might might.
I’m happy to leave this thread open a while longer to see if anyone else from the community might have other suggestions as well.
Cheers!
