MemberHi Simone,
Thanks for reaching out — I’m glad to hear you’re looking into Events Calendar PRO!
Ah yes, I see what you mean.
That looks very much like a styling conflict with the theme. You may be able to resolve it by heading to Events > Settings > Display and making sure that the Default Event Temple is being used to display the calendar instead of a theme template.
I also noticed that there are featured images displaying in the Month View. which is something that our plugin does not do by default. In other words, it looks like there have been modifications to the calendar (or perhaps an extension) that might also be contributing to the layout issues.
but in smartphone view (portrait iphone 5) I only see the image and not the event title.
For what it’s worth, the event names do not display in mobile view. You can modify this in the template, but thought I’d make a note of that to avoid confusion.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHey there!
We do offer discounts on bundled purchases, though not for the exact combination of plugins you mentioned.
However, it sounds like you also need both Event Tickets (free) and Event Tickets Plus if you are also looking to take RSVPs and want to display more fields during registration.
Although we do not have a bundle package that fits exactly what you’re looking for, we do have a nonprofit program and, if you’re accepted into it, we would be happy to provide your organization with a complimentary copy of either Events Calendar PRO or Event Tickets Plus. That would be the same as you getting $89 off your total purchase, which is a nice discount. I’d definitely encourage you to apply.

MemberHi Michael,
Thanks for getting in touch!
Yes, I do believe it is possible to add the category name to the widget, whether you’re working in The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO.
It would take a template override of the list-widget.php file. Here are instructions for how to do a template override.
Once the template is overridden in your theme, you can use the tribe_meta_event_category_name() function to display the category name where you would like.
Did you have any questions about the features of our premium plugins? Please let me know and I would be happy to answer them.
Cheers,

MemberHey Russell,
Oh yes, sorry about that!
We’ll have to override the template instead in order to make this work. Here’s how you can do that:
- Make a copy of the organizer.php template. It is located in wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/modules/meta/organizer.php
- Create a new folder in your theme called tribe-events
- Make a new folder in that folder called modules
- Make a new folder in that one called meta
- Move the copied organizer.php file to the last folder
Now that the template is in your theme, it can be modified to suit your needs. In this case, delete everything in there and replace it with the code I wrote for you here.
This should replace the full URL of the organizer with a label that says “View Website” and targets the URL.
Cheers!

MemberHey Jeffrey,
We love working with nonprofits and actually have a program I would encourage you to apply for:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/do-you-offer-discounts-for-nonprofit-organizations/
We would be happy to provide you with a complimentary license of Events Calendar PRO if you are accepted into the program. 🙂
Please allow up to a week for the application to be processed — we look forward to hearing from you in the meantime!

MemberHowdy Michael,
You bet! If you are using WooCommerce with Event Tickets Plus, then you can add the free WooCommerce Bulk Discount extension and it will allow you to set a discount on tickets based on the number of tickets purchased for an event.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHey Mark,
Great question! It’s actually not possible to charge for front-end submissions at the moment, though it is something we are definitely interested in doing.
In the meantime, one idea might be to try using Restrict Content Pro. This would allow you to charge for access to the submission form in Community Events. I know that’s different from being able to charge on a per-submission basis, but it could be one option to monetize event submissions for now.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHey Russell,
Great question! We actually have a free extensions that will help you do exactly that:
https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/use-a-custom-label-for-the-event-website-url-field/
You can use that to change the website URL into a label.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

MemberHi Joel,
If I’m understanding correctly, it sounds as though you are looking to add a featured image for the Map View where the list of upcoming events are displayed. Is that correct?
If so, I’m afraid that the plugin does not have a direct setting to add a featured image to an archive template, which is ultimately what Map View is (as well as List View, Month View, etc.).
A workaround might be to use something like Advanced Custom Fields to create a setting in the WordPress admin that allows you to upload an image and then use that image in the archive template. You will need to code that custom image field into the template, though. ACF has great documentation on how to add it’s image fields.
Does this make sense and will it work for you? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi Anna,
Yes! Our Filter Bar add-on will most certainly the advanced filters to your calendar, just like the demo site.
It is indeed possible to show the venue and organizer information in the mouseover for events in Month View, but I’m afraid it is not a setting in Events Calendar PRO. Instead, it does take a bit of custom development — in fact, here is a thread that provides an example, as well as we link to another way to go about it.
Sergei, you asked:
The filter bar contains organizer – is this the organizer view for pro or is this the additional filter bar plugin? i am confused
I think the confusion is that there is no “Organizer View” in Events Calendar PRO. Instead, the plugin adds pages for Organizers that visitors can click to from the event post. For example, here is an Organizer Page from the demo: http://wpshindig.com/organizer/matt-gross/
Cheers!

MemberHi Estelle,
That’s a really great question! In fact, I’m pretty surprised I haven’t come across a similar request before.
I’m afraid that Map View will not update the Event List when the map zooms in and out to only show the events that are in view.
I did actually find a thread for this in our feature request forum:
Would you be willing to add your vote for the feature? I can’t say for sure that we would build it, but I can certainly see how awesome that would be and having more votes on it will make it more likely.
Sorry for the bad news, but does this at least help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!
