Organiser Website Address Wordwrap

Hi

The organiser website address is word-wrapping on to two lines but just 1 character (!) It looks awful – is there a way to stop this from happening or better still, to add some code to the functions.php file so that it just becomes a link to Visit Website.

Use a Custom Label for the Event Website URL Field

You can use that to change the website URL into a label.

Hey Russell,

Oh yes, sorry about that!

We’ll have to override the template instead in order to make this work. Here’s how you can do that:

• Make a copy of the organizer.php template. It is located in wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/modules/meta/organizer.php
• Create a new folder in your theme called tribe-events
• Make a new folder in that folder called modules
• Make a new folder in that one called meta
• Move the copied organizer.php file to the last folder

Now that the template is in your theme, it can be modified to suit your needs. In this case, delete everything in there and replace it with the code I wrote for you here.

This should replace the full URL of the organizer with a label that says “View Website” and targets the URL.

Amazing – thank you – it works!

On the event website it has a double arrow after the word website – can I have this also on the organiser one ? How do I add this so that they are the same aesthetically ?
