Hi Jennifer, please issue a refund for the EA recently purchased … if your API gets approved I’ll buy again …. pending it actually working.

    Thanks,

    Neil

“Work again” you say Erika? It never has worked, it’s been an absolutely horrible plugin for the last 2 years – on a daily basis i regret building my site on this. I’ve given up logging support requests. I’ll be getting a refund if the Facebook API doesn’t happen soon.

    Hi Juan,

It was a setting in the Google Maps API that needed to be ticked on.

    Thanks,

    Neil

Hi Tom, Interesting you use the phrase “So is this ever going to work again?” … in my experience it’s never actually worked longer than a few days and even then there’s always been issues.

I’ve left the frustration of this plugin behind and concentrated on other projects – today, noticing my license had expired i updated it, only to find all these threads complaining it’s still broken.

Annoyed i even thought it might be fixed, more fool me.

Any update on this and the other issues with EA please?

    Thanks Shelby.

I’ll see what happens with the next release. I no longer have the energy or time to gather log files and do any testing on this. Unfortunately all effort spent that results in getting a fix ultimately means it then gets broken in the subsequent release, or a another issue arises, or something from several releases gets broken again.

I don’t doubt you’re throwing resources at it and you’d rather it work too I know but ~10? months have passed and we still have an extremely unstable piece of software.

Your ability to roll back to quickly roll back to previous versions needs work. Not me doing it at a plugin level but you guys at the software level.

It pains me to see the big banner on the top of my screen saying 2 licenses are about to expire.

Hoping for a stable solution sometime soon.

Really? Asking if they’re from Facebook, when I mention Facebook 3 times above and include a link from Facebook?

At times I wonder if the first response from you guys is purely just to say you’ve acknowledged the thread created, albeit 36 hours after.

Screen shot to show it didn’t work, that’s essentially worthless.

Log, again, yes I can send these when I’m in he office. Looking through the other threads though it’s clearly not just me with this issue, or many other issues.

There’s little point me pursuing it, as other users suggest the stability is extremely poor, we work to get a resolution only to have it broken in subsequent releases.

Hi Colin, this is exactly what i’m seeing although i am getting some scheduled imports to run. I checked some known sources and saw there should be a dozen events – i run the import manually and nothing other than the “Successfully scheduled …” message. Then i thought i’d try a new one time import and in come the events. I’ve confirmed this with several Facebook sources.

I created a separate case before seeing your thread.

Thanks Geoff, that did the trick.

    Much appreciated.

    Thanks Victor,

If I see an image has been missed by the scheduled import, which at the moment is about 1 in 20, I find the import and run it manually – this always resolves it.

It may be an issue with Imagify with the initial scheduled import but it’s resolved on the 2nd time.

It’s too random to disable Imagify then monitor for a week.

Hi Victor, I’ve deleted all the Tall Dark & Art ones, I got sick of seeing them. I noticed few others come up so I did a search on organisers with an & in the name. To me it confirms the issue is special character related.

    Thanks,

    Neil

Hey Barry, I disconnected from FB for 12 hours then reconnected. I’ve seen new events created by the scheduler and can now add new imports and manually run. I’v supplied Victor with a log file for some other issues, the thread is Duplicate Organisers, might be some info for you in there.

Will keep an eye on this and let you know if there’s any changes.

    Thanks,

    Neil

I have / had debugging enabled, I’ll need to check the logs and send if I have any, I was fed up with the visual warnings on my site so I recall turning it off.

    DB encoding is utf8mb4_unicode_ci

I don’t have another account. I’ll try deactivating and reactivating this one.

I notice several new events created yesterday, along with a few (duplicate) organisers so it’s obviously running, getting access and working to some degree.
