Here’s another duplicate, note the & … it can’t just be me surely?!!

First one was from early June, the second popped up today.

100 or so other imports have ran today, the only other one to duplicate again was the previously mentioned organizer.

I’ve tried hiding and ignoring hoping it wouldn’t duplicate, it just adds another version.

I’m noticing the images missing from recently added scheduled imports, ones that have been added since the last few updates of EA.

I’m not able to pinpoint exactly which images are missing – it would be helpful to have a report, log of new events added each day, week or anything. There’s no way to filter than information. Making new imports “Draft” is not the solution, that’s a poor work around to something that should exist.

Yes i am able to manually add the images to the event so no it’s not a permissions issue on the folder.

Prior to about 2 weeks ago i was able to run the import manually on organisers that has several images missing, this was an acceptable solution – not i’m no longer able to do that.

Ok, so i tried this one, https://www.facebook.com/CarnalSociety/ same error appears.

Then i tried an existing page that i’ve been importing from since day one, https://www.facebook.com/themidnightshiftsydney/ and the same error appears.

“Events cannot be imported because Facebook has returned an error. This could mean that the event ID does not exist, the event or source is marked as Private, or the event or source has been otherwise restricted by Facebook. You can read more about Facebook restrictions in our knowledgebase.”

So then i tested it with Toys R Us from the US, clearly a G rated page. https://www.facebook.com/toysrus/

The error came up again so it seems to be coming up for all pages.

I have 180 odd pages I import from, they’ll all “adult” type pages.

Facebook allow the page so they’ll allow access to it.

The only thing I recall being added is the Eventbrite plugin since the last update of EA plugins.

I’d actually accept the plugin if it would work manually, that’s how desperate I am.

It looks like EA is performing the scheduled tasks, I just can’t manually run it or add new ones.

It was all too good to be true. Duplicate Organisers (in another thread) but now not all images being imported, can’t run a manual import, can’t add a new import.

Lots of errors saying bit connected / can’t connect to ea server.

All this after I updated to latest release.

Should I just give up? I can’t spend hours and hours on this every week. As soon as there’s a fix it gets broken a week later.

Seriously how can this only be a few of us having all these issues?

Here’s the error from trying to add a new import tonight.

The other image is all the duplicate Organisers after I’ve already deleted them.

I had another support thread, but after it worked for 3 days I think that was closed.

3 days working from a total of 300 plus, gee, that’s pretty impressive.

This is what I get when I try and run the import manually …

“There may be an issue with the Event Aggregator server. Please try your import again later.”

Under Events > Help is says I’m not connected to the server.

Hey Victor, I’ll monitor this now I have the latest version installed.

On that note, I’m getting events imported with no image, I can’t manually run the import – it hangs then says it can’t connect to the EA server. I’ve also tried to add new imports and have the drop down tell me to buy EA … so with all that considered I’m not fussed about a duplicate.

It seems with every release EA becomes unpredictable, I’ll see what happens with the next release. I don’t have time to troubleshoot it, only for it to work, then break, then work each week.

Hi Victor, so far the same organiser has been created 9 times, it seems like every time the schedule is run it creates another. Today it did, without creating any new events.

Hi Victor,

It only happens with this one organiser, everytime a new event is added for them it creates a new organiser. This iis happening through scheduled imports. I can’t recall when i noticed it – it’s not possible to put it down to a plugin upgrade, there are so many, from you guys and everyone else.

I’ll live with it for now and you never know, after todays upgrades it might be fixed.
