ParticipantThanks Andras, this isn’t directed at your personally – i feel for you support guys having to deal with this situation, but the powers that be at Modern Tribe need some feedback.
What was such a great solution is turning into something quote woeful. I fail to see how anyone has been able to use this without having multiple issues?! And trying to say this was beta tested on 500 users is an insult to the communities intelligence.
While i need not name them all, I’ve gone from having a neat and tidy calendar of events to an absolute shambles – duplicate events, no google map, events not created with an organiser and about a 20% import success … the list goes on. On top of that, the actual tool is missing some basic functionality for example, the ability to easily see which new events have been imported. The solution to set new events to “Pending” isn’t valid … i did that and it only works for new imports, the already scheduled ones that are set to published aren’t over ridden by that setting!
Editing the scheduled imports is cumbersome at best with no way of searching and no way of doing a quick edit.
The sooner this is fixed the better, and considering the impact to many i’m expecting it this week.
Thanks.

ParticipantThanks – just checked and there’s a fresh 6 pages of these errors. I’ve updated to 4.3.2 in an attempt to get something working.

ParticipantI’ve tried upgrading to 5.4 and 5.6 but both cause fatal errors on the site – unable to access site or WP admin. Server says it’s a function, plugin or something not compatible.
Here’s an event with a ticket, seems to be working OK at the moment.

ParticipantHi Geoff,
Well, changing the theme’s out of question and i fail to see how that could be it, considering it works with no caching installed.
I’ve turned off the “Require users to log in” setting – i had that set because i wanted users to register therefor capture their details initially, but happy if that fixes it.
Turned it off, turned on caching, emptied the cache and navigated to a few pages, problem still exists. Forced reload of the page to clear browser cache and works but when i go back and forth i’m still seeing the issue.
Checked on my phone and still seeing the issue.
Will persist with it for today and see if it clears.
I’ll speak to the server guys and see if they’ll upgrade.
Fingers crossed it resolves, otherwise it’s back to pulling my hair out!
Thanks.

ParticipantHi Geoff,
I’m using version 2.8.23 of WP Rocket. I’ve reactivated it and will send screen shots.
Thanks,
Neil

ParticipantThanks Cliff – i think the password protected events will do what we need them to do. Many thanks for the quick answer.

ParticipantThanks Nico, i’ll have a look into the suggested plugin.
Your suggested solution sounds like a valid one – input the venue ID to keep then the ID of the ‘to be merged’ venues and their events. I think that would work!

ParticipantI’ve patiently waited to see how the scheduled import is working over the course of a week and i’m pretty much getting nothing but red exclamation points and rarely a successful import.
If i manually run the import it seems to work fine and import events.
Please let me know what you need from me, i’ll send my system info in a private text.

ParticipantThanks Nico, i appreciate the detailed response.
With regards to the snippet, it’s only 1 instance at the moment where the one venue has been described marginally different on 3 occasions;
The Midnight Shift, The Shift Club, Midnight Shift.
I suspect due to different organisers creating FB events within the business but another use case down the track could be independent businesses that use a common venue. Once this venue is set up in the system with full contact details it would be nice to merge any rogue venues with the desired one.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Neil

ParticipantI agree Andre .. pretty cheeky charging those prices for something that’s a long way off from working properly!

ParticipantI’ve been able to clear the “Login to purchase” issue by not only disabling the W3 Total Cache plugin but also by deleting it. Tested on several computers and all working better now.

ParticipantThanks Hunter, sent as requested.
No, i’m not able to set it up on a test WP install – i don’t need a fresh install working, i need the live site to work. I understand your reasoning for asking it, but it’s not viable for me to spend the time doing it, just to confirm (more than likely) that it all works fine.
I still need a suitable resolution to the 0 items in cart issue – any suggestions on that?
