MemberHi Vincent.
You posted in our Pre-Sales forum from a user account that doesn’t have any purchases associated with it.
We don’t answer support questions for Events core/free or PRO add-on in the Pre-Sales forum.
If you made your purchase(s) through a different user account, please login to that account and then post in one of the paid forums.
Thank you for your understanding and thank you for using our plugins.

P.S. For your specific issue, it sounds like your Events Calendar ‘slug’ is set to ‘agenda’ and there’s another ‘regular WordPress page’ that has the same slug. You could just delete that WordPress page and the wp-admin message would go away (assuming this is your issue).

MemberHi Louis. I don’t know what the “events calendar theme on WordPress” is. Do you have a link to it so I can download the theme too?
Cliff
MemberHi Noah.
I’m not sure if you meant to put a link on the “as outlined here” text… Regardless, I tested with the latest versions of Filter Bar, Events Calendar PRO, and The Events Calendar and the show/hide is working just fine for me with all other plugins deactivated and using the Twenty Fifteen theme.
Could you try temporarily activating the default Twenty Fifteen theme, and seeing if the issue persists.
If disabling the theme fixes it, we have narrowed the issue down to a theme conflict. Do you have any theme overrides for the Events Calendar? If so could you try disabling them by renaming your [themename]/tribe-events/ folder to ‘tribe-events-bak’. Did that fix it?
If the issue persists in the default Twenty Fifteen theme, then we have a different set of debugging steps. Please keep the Twenty Fifteen theme enabled, and also disable any plugins other than the ones from Modern Tribe to see if that fixes it. If it does, please try re-enabling the plugins one at a time until the issue resurfaces. When it does resurface, can you let me know which plugin caused that to happen?
Additionally, the account you’re logged in as does not have a license for Filter Bar assigned to it.

MemberHi John.
I like how this looks and it sounds like it’d be beneficial to consolidate them if you have so many events on a single day.
Sure, this could be accomplished, but it’s not built-in.
If you want to create it, you’d want to follow along our Themer’s Guide to override one or more items in this folder: /wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/views/pro/week
I hope this information helps!

MemberHi Joey. Thanks for asking about our PRO add-on‘s recurring events.
I think you’ll find the answer to your first question at https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-recurring-events/#exclusions
For your second question, yes, when viewing a single event that’s part of a recurring series, the “Break from Series” option will be available. You would then be able to delete that single recurrence. Here’s a screenshot to give you a better idea:

Let me know if there’s anything else I can answer for you about PRO recurring events.

MemberHi Wendy.
You shouldn’t be editing the plugin’s core files because then your modifications will be lost on each plugin update.
If you’re just wanting to make small modifications like a widget color, you can add custom CSS code via your child theme’s style.css file or via a plugin like Simple Custom CSS or, my favorite, Jetpack. Jetpack supports regular CSS and the LESS and Sass pre-processors.
For more in-depth modifications (including PHP), you could refer to our Themer’s Guide.
Also, feel free to reference this help article: Styling Events Widgets
Please let me know how it goes for you.

MemberHi Darren.
I tried to visit that link but it was a blank white page with just this on it:
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/darrenmcox/public_html/smallboxmedia.com/wineforwheels/wp-includes/compat.php:1) in /home/darrenmcox/public_html/smallboxmedia.com/wineforwheels/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1207
Since the site isn’t working at this time, I’ll just ask the general questions to get us started:
- Are you positive your end user’s email address is entered correctly (i.e. a valid email address)?
- Is your site sending all other emails besides these event emails?
- At wp-admin > Events > Settings > Community tab: What do you have for these settings?
- “Allow anonymous submissions”
- “Send an email alert when a new event is submitted”
and “Email addresses to be notified” (One address per line)
I’m looking forward to hearing back from you.
Cliff
MemberHi Andrea.
Would you please provide me additional information so I can help you with your specific request?
Please provide a link to the page you’re wanting modified and a detailed description of how you’d like it modified.
Thank you.
Cliff
MemberHey Leone.
Could you please link me to your calendar and to the events to review (so I can try to find them on your calendar)?
If possible, please pick events to review that are at least 1 week in the future.
Providing these links will help us be on the same page, reviewing the same issue.
Thanks.

MemberHey, Pete.
You don’t need code. Just go to the top-right “Screen Options” and uncheck the column(s) you’d like removed: http://cl.ly/image/3D1G1E1S4133
Please let me know how this goes for you.
November 7, 2015 at 7:35 pm in reply to: How users can subscribe to my events calendar in their personal calendars #1022932Cliff
MemberHey Stephen.
I think what you’re asking for is this feature request: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3777092-subscribe-to-calendar-via-ical
The link you provided is essentially the same as the “Export Month’s Events” button at the bottom of your calendar:

So truly “subscribing” to your WordPress calendar is not possibly via a single link. That’s what the feature request is for.
You’re welcome to add your vote to it.
Let me know if I can do anything else for you.
November 7, 2015 at 7:18 pm in reply to: Submit form size is too big. how can i change the size of the form??? #1022925Cliff
MemberHi ilhan. Thanks for the details. I tried to view http://partydjinn.com/events/pup/add to help out, but it’s restricted to logged-in users. If you’d like me to look at it, please go to wp-admin > Events > Settings > Community tab > and check “Allow anonymous submissions” and then I’ll give it a look and try to help.
November 7, 2015 at 7:12 pm in reply to: How and where can I create copy for the "About the Author" #1022923Cliff
MemberTerry, we’re supposed to open a separate ticket per issue, as stated before.
Since this ticket started out as trying to copy an author box display, please open a separate ticket for your view options not showing up properly.
Before / in order to create your next ticket, please follow along with these 2 troubleshooting processes:
1)
2)
Enable WP_DEBUG and share any PHP errors you see while navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket?
Once you share your WP_DEBUG findings, we may be able to get an idea of any plugin or theme conflicts.
Please enable WP_DEBUG on your site. You’ll need to edit to your site’s wp-config.php file and change this line of code:
define('WP_DEBUG', false);to this:define('WP_DEBUG', true);
(or add this line of code if you can’t find mention of ‘WP_DEBUG’ in your wp-config.php file)If any errors do appear while navigating your site’s pages, please copy and paste them in their entirety into a new ticket reply — along with the URL of where you saw the error(s) — and make sure you set it as a Private reply.
===
You might also want to include your system information and pasting it there too. Make sure to use the “Set as private reply” checkbox to protect your private information from the public.
You can find the system info by going to WP Admin > Events > Settings, clicking on the “Help” tab, and scrolling down to the “System Information” box. (Or by going to [yoursite]/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tribe_events&page=tribe-events-calendar&tab=help)
===
NOTE: Your first post (to create a new issue) cannot be marked as Private. So if you do create a new issue (because you didn’t figure out the theme/plugin/WP_DEBUG issue), just post the issue with the general information to create the new ticket but then add a follow-up reply right away with the Private information.
I hope this helps get you on your way to resolving each of your issues! 🙂
Cliff
MemberI’m glad you guys could share your experiences. Of course, we all wish this functionality already existed. 😉
Cliff
MemberSounds good. Feel free to update the ticket if you find it (or something else) works well for you.
