    How and where can I create copy for the “About the Author” that shows up at the bottom of my calendar?

    See buzzpro.com/events

    Thanks!

    Hi Buzzpro. The author box at the bottom of your calendar is from your theme, not generated by The Events Calendar.

    The main events page (the one you linked to) is technically a WordPress archive page so it’s likely your theme includes that author footer area on all archive pages.

    You’ll need to contact your theme provider to inquire further… or you could just hide it via CSS or customize via child theme override if you know how to do that via PHP.

    Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Hi there,

    I have three questions please:

    1.)The search links at the top of my event calendar don’t work. Please see buzzpro.com/events. Should I delete and reload my event calendar? How can I get these search options to work? Please advise.

    2.) Also, I paid for the “CalendarPro” option. How many websites can I use this calendar on? Can you please check my account. I think it’s 3 total. Please advise.

    3.) Where can I start a trouble ticket for my Event Calendar account. It seems to be hard to find to create a tick like this. Please advise.

    Thank you,

    ~Terry

    Terry,

    Our support forum works best when users create a separate topic for each issue they’re experiencing.

    Here are my quick replies to each of your new questions:

    1. The tribe search bar at http://buzzpro.com/events/ worked fine for me. I tested searching “career” and “professional” and both displayed the expected search results. Maybe your browser cache or settings need to be cleared. http://www.refreshyourcache.com/ may be of help for this.
    2. You are currently subscribed to The Events Calendar PRO – Business, which allows up to 3 sites. You can view additional details at https://theeventscalendar.com/license-keys/
    3. Support for the free “core” The Events Calendar is handled at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar. If you need priority support for it, you could start a ticket in the PRO support forum on this site.

    I hope this helps. If you need follow-up support for any of these additional/separate questions, please post as a new thread by visiting https://theeventscalendar.com/support/post/

    Thanks! 🙂

    Thank you very much for your help, Cliff! I will certainly separate my questions in my inquiries/trouble tickets going forward…

    So you are correct, the search feature is working. What I should of brought to your attention is the “View As” feature is not working. I’ve tried to use this feature on two computers and on my cell phone, and it’s not working. Can you please take a look at this calendar view option on my buzzpro.com/events site and let me know how I can fix this.

    Thank you,

    ~Terry

    Yeah, I noticed that before. Now that you bring it up as an issue, the best I can tell you without making you open a separate ticket is that I see the options there in the page source, but I can’t get them to display in my browser either… Sorry.

    Thanks Cliff… So were do we go from here. How do I fix this issue. My Events Calendar is not working properly? Who should I reach out to, to fix this? Can you send me the CSS coding that fixes this issue.

    Thanks again!

    Terry, we’re supposed to open a separate ticket per issue, as stated before.

    Since this ticket started out as trying to copy an author box display, please open a separate ticket for your view options not showing up properly.

    Before / in order to create your next ticket, please follow along with these 2 troubleshooting processes:

    1)

    Could you try temporarily activating the default Twenty Fifteen theme, and seeing if the issue persists.

    If disabling the theme fixes it, we have narrowed the issue down to a theme conflict. Do you have any theme overrides for the Events Calendar? If so could you try disabling them by renaming your [themename]/tribe-events/ folder to ‘tribe-events-bak’. Did that fix it?

    If the issue persists in the default Twenty Fifteen theme, then we have a different set of debugging steps. Please keep the Twenty Fifteen theme enabled, and also disable any plugins other than the ones from Modern Tribe to see if that fixes it. If it does, please try re-enabling the plugins one at a time until the issue resurfaces. When it does resurface, can you let me know which plugin caused that to happen?

    2)

    Enable WP_DEBUG and share any PHP errors you see while navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket?

    Once you share your WP_DEBUG findings, we may be able to get an idea of any plugin or theme conflicts.

    Please enable WP_DEBUG on your site. You’ll need to edit to your site’s wp-config.php file and change this line of code: define('WP_DEBUG', false); to this: define('WP_DEBUG', true);
    (or add this line of code if you can’t find mention of ‘WP_DEBUG’ in your wp-config.php file)

    If any errors do appear while navigating your site’s pages, please copy and paste them in their entirety into a new ticket reply — along with the URL of where you saw the error(s) — and make sure you set it as a Private reply.

    ===

    You might also want to include your system information and pasting it there too. Make sure to use the “Set as private reply” checkbox to protect your private information from the public.

    You can find the system info by going to WP Admin > Events > Settings, clicking on the “Help” tab, and scrolling down to the “System Information” box. (Or by going to [yoursite]/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tribe_events&page=tribe-events-calendar&tab=help)

    ===

    NOTE: Your first post (to create a new issue) cannot be marked as Private. So if you do create a new issue (because you didn’t figure out the theme/plugin/WP_DEBUG issue), just post the issue with the general information to create the new ticket but then add a follow-up reply right away with the Private information.

    I hope this helps get you on your way to resolving each of your issues! 🙂
