May 12, 2017 at 10:44 am in reply to: Selling tickets thru WooCommerce Product Page, and not the Event Page #1283193
Cliff
MemberHi, Adam. Thanks for your thorough request.
This wouldn’t be possible at this time without (probably quite a bit of) custom coding.
You could request this as a new feature (or maybe search to see if the idea was already posted by someone else) at our plugins’ UserVoice page.
This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.
If you post it / find it, feel free to link to it from here in case anyone comes across this forum thread in the future.
If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.
Cliff
MemberHi, Alex.
If you’re just asking how to get the posts via tribe_get_events(), you could reference this query example (which was for a different purpose).
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.
Cliff
MemberHi, Tyler.
Sorry your expectations weren’t met.
I visited that link and saw https://cl.ly/0z2X0K2g2O3P, but I expected there to be RSVP tickets there.
Did you still need assistance with this or did you decide to use WooCommerce tickets instead of RSVP tickets going forward?
Cliff
MemberHi, Dorian.
I believe you’re requesting the same thing (or similar) as one of our existing feature requests: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/9788196-shared-media-library-for-community-events-submissi
Please do add your vote there if you’d like to.
This allows us to gauge interest in this particular feature request, which helps us prioritize our development efforts.
Either one of these solutions definitely could be possible but it’d require a decent amount of custom coding to accomplish it.
If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.

MemberI did notice http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects/image-widget-plus/de/default is reporting 100% translated already. Please let me know if there’s something more I need to assist you with on this topic.
Cliff
MemberHi, Oliver.
Thanks again for your translation efforts here!
I’ve added an unsupported license for IW+ to your account.

May 12, 2017 at 10:01 am in reply to: Organisers asked for paypal account even when split payments not activated #1283161Cliff
MemberHi, Cath.
To clarify, is the issue that “Payment options” exists in the menu next to “My Events”, or is the issue that your users cannot create new events with tickets unless they entered their PayPal email first?
Cliff
MemberHi, David.
We’re always glad to hear about interesting customizations. However, we cannot provide such in-depth customization help, per our Scope of Support / Terms. I can try to point you in the right direction, though.
- Could you please explain the use case for needing to do this? It might provide some helpful context.
- Organizers and Venues are just custom post types so any sort of post selection tool/library should work if you tell it which post type to filter for.
- Please explain what you mean by “protected” custom fields. Are you thinking our plugin is somehow protecting its custom fields? If yes, then that’s incorrect; they’re just regular WordPress custom fields. You can see how the data is stored by looking in your database’s postmeta table for an Event post type.
Note: if you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.

MemberHi, Sean.
Thanks for reporting this bug. I was able to duplicate this behavior on my own testing site.
I’ll mark this ticket as Pending Fix, which means this thread should receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed as it’s in the development team’s hands now. They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.
I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.
You might want to change the City filter to a Dropdown field type (instead of Checkbox or Autocomplete) so that the user knows they can only select one City at a time.
Cliff
MemberHi, Cath.
That WooCommerce setting doesn’t affect Event Tickets Plus, but this snippet might be what you’re looking for (or really close to it):

May 12, 2017 at 9:25 am in reply to: Category/Tags Has Created 404 Errors and Mixed up My Blog's Tag Links as Well #1283025Cliff
MemberHi, Allister. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
You can view our recent release notes, but no I don’t think there was anything specific to tags or categories updated recently.
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please send a URL that Google is reporting a 404 for that you think it shouldn’t be… or any other helpful information to further troubleshoot this.
Thanks.
May 12, 2017 at 9:18 am in reply to: Categories not Submitting – tribe_create_event function #1283021Cliff
MemberHi, Shamsi.
Thanks for your detailed question. Here are a few notes:
- Please reference https://theeventscalendar.com/function/tribe_create_event/
- It refers to wp_insert_post() so please reference that as well.
- Using post_category will be the built-in WordPress categories, which do not apply to the tribe_events custom post type unless you have some custom code to do so.
- A category ID would not have letters or underscores in it, so you’re likely doing that part incorrectly as well.
- If I understand what you’re wanting, you’d need to use tax_input instead of post_category. See the examples at their documentation page.
- FYI: The Event Categories taxonomy is Tribe__Events__Main::TAXONOMY
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.
May 12, 2017 at 6:53 am in reply to: Change List View layout to have pictures on left side and description on right #1282928Cliff
MemberHi, Larissa.
Here’s some CSS to get you started. Note it only applies to your /events page, not the shortcode version on your homepage — but it could be adapted to apply there as well. I also didn’t test it for responsive design (e.g. media queries):
body.post-type-archive-tribe_events .tribe-events-list .tribe-events-event-image { float: left; max-width: 37%; } body.post-type-archive-tribe_events .tribe-events-loop .tribe-events-content { padding-right: 0; } body.post-type-archive-tribe_events .tribe-events-list .tribe-events-event-image+div.tribe-events-content { float: right; max-width: 60%; }Here’s a screenshot of it in action on a desktop width browser: https://cl.ly/2Z113y033h03
Please also note that we do not typically provide styling assistance and other customization help, per our Scope of Support / Terms.
If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.

MemberHi, Wilbur.
I visited https://wa-kelowna.com/wilburs-piano-bar and it is a regular WordPress page, not one of our Single Events pages. Is this the URL you’re inquiring about?
And I visited https://wa-kelowna.com/events but wasn’t sure why that screenshot was included.
To help with this issue, please provide a URL of an event that you think is not appearing in Google properly. Also include a screenshot of its wp-admin Event edit screen so I can see its datetime settings.
Thank you.
