Category/Tags Has Created 404 Errors and Mixed up My Blog's Tag Links as Well

I recently went onto my site’s google search console tool and noticed hundreds of 404 errors. After some digging I saw that it was related to the events calendar and the tags/categories. My blog tags were getting 404 errors and any of the events with certain tags were also getting 404 errors.

They started in February 2017. My questions are:

1. Was there an update related to tags/categories in February 2017 or a little bit before that?

2. Is there anyway to remedy this issue?

Hi, Allister. Sorry you’re experiencing this.

You can view our recent release notes, but no I don’t think there was anything specific to tags or categories updated recently.

There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?

• Downloads / Version Numbers
• License Keys
• TEC Automatic Updates
• or TEC Manual Updates
• WordPress core updates

Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.

If it is, please send a URL that Google is reporting a 404 for that you think it shouldn’t be… or any other helpful information to further troubleshoot this.
