ParticipantMike,
Thanks for reaching out! I’m passing this request onto our developers to see if something like this is currently possible. Stay tuned!Casey
ParticipantAdam,
Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately there’s not currently a way to change which page template community uses, but you should be able to use those conditional tags referenced on that post to include a different sidebar PHP file when viewing the ‘Submit an Event’ page.Just let me know if you have further questions. Thanks!
Casey
ParticipantCurtis,
We’re planning to fix this ASAP. As soon as we have the code stable, it will be included in a future release. Thanks for notifying us of this issue, and I’ll let you know when I have more specific information. Thanks!Casey
ParticipantGreat! Glad to hear you got it sorted out. I’ll close this thread out. Feel free to start another thread if you have further issues. Thanks!

ParticipantMax,
Thanks for the link. Hopefully I can help you figure out what’s going on here. It looks like this is due to some JS errors that are in your theme: http://d.pr/i/ZnuUI’m seeing these errors on every page of your site, not just the ‘Event Submission’ page. I would talk to your theme developer and have them resolve these JS errors, and then let me know if this issue still persists. Thanks and let me know if we can help further!

ParticipantWere you able to resolve this issue, or did you just remove the widget? I’m not seeing it happening any more on your Event Submission page.

ParticipantMax,
Thanks for reaching out and so sorry to hear you’re having issues. Could you give me a link to your ‘Event Submission’ page so that I can review? Thanks!Casey
ParticipantI’ve submitted this feature request to our developers, so I’ll keep you updated on this thread if it makes it into a future release. In the mean time I’m going to close this thread, so please start a new thread if you have further issues. Thanks!

ParticipantAlexey,
I just spoke with our developer, and he wasn’t able to replicate the issue you’re having, even though he was using the same settings that you supplied. Since this might possibly be an issue with the MiniLoops widget, there’s not much more support we can offer for this issue. That being said, there is one potential work-around that might hide the warning messages you’re seeing. You can set WP_DEBUG to false in your wp-config.php file (http://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG). Give that a try and let me know if the warning messages are now hidden. Thanks!

ParticipantAlex,
Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, this functionality is not available in Community at this time. I’ll suggest this as a new feature to our developers, since it would definitely be a great feature to have. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!November 13, 2012 at 6:21 am in reply to: Community Events submission form replicates itself in secondary sidebar #27966Casey
ParticipantThanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you’re having issues. Can you send me a screenshot of the widgets that you have enabled in your sidebar? Also, what version of the Community Add-on are you running?
These questions should help me to troubleshoot your issue further. Thanks!

ParticipantAlexey,
Could you give me a little more information about your server environment? What version of PHP/MySQL are you running? Could you also create a PHP info file and send me a link to it? Here’s instructions on how to do this: http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?topic=479.0That will help our developers begin to track down the issue. Thanks!
