    sitelockdesign,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you’re having issues. Have you tried switching over to the default 2013 theme to see if everything displays correctly for you there? I suspect that this is related to some custom javascript or CSS that your theme is loading.

Give that a shot and let me know the result. Thanks! πŸ™‚

    Cliff,
Since you’ve confirmed that this is indeed a theme issue, then I would reach out to the theme developer to see if they can provide support. We unfortunately can’t provide support for every third party theme out there, since we have a limited support staff.

There is one thing I’d like for you to try before going that route. Could you try disabling script debugging in your wp-config.php file?

    • Go into your hosting control panel and find the wp-config.php file in the root of your WordPress installation
    • Look for a line of code that looks like this:define( 'SCRIPT_DEBUG', true ); and change the value to false
    • Save the file

Try those steps and see if it results in any difference. Thanks!

    Cliff,
Hopefully I can help you out here. Can you try switching over to the default 2013 theme to see if this issue is still occurring? If the issue is still occurring, then could you try deactivating all other plugins to check for a plugin conflict? These two steps should help us identify if the issue lies in your theme or in another conflicting plugin.

Give that a try and let me know what you discover. Thanks!

    bluepixeldesign,
Thanks for reaching out! Hopefully I can help here. I think you’re seeing events in the list widget that appear to be past events, because the widget uses the Event’s end date to determine how long to display it. I noticed that your ‘Premier’s BC Natural Resource Forum Pre-Conference – Working Effectively with Aboriginal Peoples’ event ends on 1/28 @ 4PM, so technically the event is still in progress.

Does that help to answer your question? If not, just let me know and I can help further. Thanks! πŸ™‚

    sbhamby,
Thanks for reaching out, and sorry to hear you’re having this issue. In order for me to help further, I’ll need a little information from you:

    • Go to ‘Events->Settings->Display’ and let me know what option is selected for the ‘Events Template.’ If it is set to ‘Default Page Template,’ please change it to ‘Default Events Template’ and see if that fixes the error message.

Give that a try and let me know if it fixes the problem. Thanks! πŸ™‚

    Andreas,
Thanks for reaching out. I was able to successfully hide the Recurrence option in my 3.4 test environment by pasting the following code into my theme’s functions.php file: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/7682707

Give that a shot and let me know if you’re able to get it working. Thanks! πŸ™‚

    criticalshadows,
Sorry you’re having issues here, but hopefully I can help. Could you try switching your permalinks to ‘Month and Name’ and see if that does the trick? The month name URL structure will only apply to your blog posts, and your pages will still only have the post-name in the URL.

Give that a shot and let me know if it does the trick. Thanks! πŸ™‚

    cnaughton,
Thanks for getting in touch with us. Hopefully I can help you out here. The RSS feeds aren’t really intended to display calendar information, since we’re just using the built-in WordPress RSS functionality. If you’re looking for a feed of your events, then your best bet is to use the iCal link. This will allow you to view your events in another program, like Outlook or Google Calendar.

Hopefully that helps to answer your question, but let me know if you need further help. Thanks! πŸ™‚

    Graham,
Sorry to hear you’re having troubles here. Hopefully I can help you out! In looking at this single event, I’m noticing that you have a white background here with purple text, which is similar to other pages on your site. Is that not what you’re intending?

Just let me know and I can give you some help with this.

    Thanks! πŸ™‚

P.S. – NOTE: our help with customizations/styling is provided on a very limited basis, since we can’t support all third party themes.

    drnicki,
Yes, something like this is definitely possible with some custom code from your developer. They’ll just need to perform the template override as I described above, and then make the necessary code changes for your desired functionality.

Hope that helps answer your question! Thanks!

    drnicki,
I’m not quite sure I understand what you’re asking. Currently, when the user clicks ‘View More’ they’re taken to an Event Detail page where they can view all the information about the event (map/location, cost, phone number, etc). Is that not what you’re wanting? Are you wanting to include more information in the list view?
