ParticipantHowdy Mindy,
Thank you for reporting this! I really appreciate it.
For now I would leave it commented out if I were you. We will discuss trying to fix this. The iCalcreator lib is actually a third party one that is essentially included with our plugin. We will have to discuss whether we wish to fork it or not. Forking a lib can impose a pretty large burden on the devs, so this will need a decent measure of discussion. That said we are actually strong proponents of never using date_default_timezone_set() in a WP install, so it is very possible we will choose to fork and fix this.
I created a ticket for our strategist to look into this and discuss as needed. I added your thread here to the ticket, so you will get updates when there are some.
Thanks again. Let us know if you have any more questions in the interim. Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Moize,
I am filling in for Cliff today. We do not offer a way to download tickets or make them attachments currently. The HTML tickets we currently use are supported by smartphones, email clients, and web browsers to such a degree without downloading any extra applications. So we have stuck with them for their elegant simplicity. That said we are always open to feedback, and have been getting some about this with people wanting PDF tickets and not wanting to use EDD Tickets (since EDD natively has PDF support and thus offers downloadable tickets). If you would like to see that as well please vote your support on this request.
Let us know if you need anything else. Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Steven,
No worries there, we all have those moments. Computers make fools of everyone at some point.
Please do get back to us if you need further assistance with the template issue. We would be happy to help. Since the original issue here is resolved I am going to archive this topic. Cheers!

ParticipantThanks for updating.
Good question. You could share it on a website like pastebin, dropbox, or Google Drive. Have you ever used any of those before? Pastebin doesn’t even require you to signup and offers you the option to “not list” a paste, so it is fairly private. Would one of those work?
Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Hans,
That sounds like a good solution. Search is an extremely hard thing to do well, there’s good reason why Google has made billions of dollars doing it after investing billions into figuring it out. And even then it’s still not perfect. But I’m glad it’s good enough for your needs here.
Thanks for getting back and sharing your solution. Cheers!

I am going to archive this topic now. It will be available for all who want to refer to your work. Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Keith,
I am filling in for Geoff since he is out on holiday this week. I actually wrote the status you are referring to.
That status is still quite accurate. We are planning to launch full view shortcodes as soon as we can. We did have a hiccup after that announcement in our scheduling. One of the teams within Modern Tribe was building a large website for a client, when the client asked them to add shortcode capabilities to the calendar. And so we on this team were given a gift of extra manpower to help build a highly sought after feature. We worked with the other team, got everything specced out, and began work. Then the client changed their mind and our extra manpower was allocated towards their new need. This shifted the schedule of the final shortcodes, but by no means has it removed them from our roadmap.
The reason Geoff said that would be a separate feature is because on the one hand it could be. Making the events page your home page is actually something we could build separately from full view shortcodes and much faster. So it never hurts to break out your needs as specifically as possible. This is actually a thing we learned from the shortcodes request. As you know it is technically our most popular feature request. Yet, because we did not break it out early on it is unknown how many of those folks needed the shortcodes we added last year, or still want the upcoming ones. So as a policy we now try to get very specific with feature requests.
We dot not have an ETA yet on when the final shortcodes will be added. It’s simply not possible to do anything but a wild guess at this point as it is still a few items down the roadmap. But as soon as we do have an ETA we will update that UserVoice post.
Does that answer your question?
Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Jrucker,
There are a couple ways of going about that, both of them involving the widgets in Events Calendar Pro.
- If you have a single event you want to feature you can use the Countdown Widget to feature it on your site, along with a countodwn to when it takes place.
- If you have a series of events you want feature you can put them all in a featured category. Then anywhere on your site add a list widget to show each of those events. You can even style this widget as needed.
Does that all make sense? Does that sound like what you’re looking for? Please let me know.
Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Iwan,
You are definitely right, that page is not really responsive. I just brought this up to our strategist, the gentleman in charge of planning out future features. He said it is very possibly something we would be interested in revisiting and redesigning. To that end I threw up a User Voice feature request for this. You will not that it is marked needs more votes for now (0 votes), but we will be keeping a watchful eye on it.
Building and testing a responsive for everyone will take time though. In the mean time you can at least style the page yourself so its not broken on mobile. Adding these CSS rules to any of your theme’s stylesheets should be a good start:
.my-events-table-wrapper { overflow: auto; } table.my-events { min-width: 600px; }That will make it so the table has a minimum width, and can be scrolled from side-to-side once it gets too small.
Does that all make sense? Will that work for you? Please let me know.
Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Uroš,
Thanks for reporting the conflict with Eventica! I will reach out to them about it and see if they would be interested in working with us to find a good solution.
That will take time though. In the mean time we might be able to find you a decent fix. Have you tried changing your permalink settings, and flushing your permalinks? If you go to WP-Admin > Events > Settings > Community, could try temporarily changing your “Community rewrite slug” to something unique, like “urostest”? Does that fix things? What about going to WP-Admin > Settings > Permalinks and changing to “default”. Does that work?
Cheers!

ParticipantSpeaking of bugs, we found the source of the Fatal Error, Dirk. I had a newer install of WordPress I was testing on, and I forgot to input the license key for WooCommerce Tickets. Because of that WooCommerce Tickets had not updated yet to version 3.12.1. Updating to this version caused the error to go away. If you do end up seeing that fatal error again, please make sure you are up-to-date.
Cheers!
