This thread’s not seen much activity recently so I’ll go ahead and close it. Of course if you still need help with this or any other issue please don’t hesitate to create a new thread (or threads) and one of the team will be only too happy to help. Thanks!

That is strange by default it should only show upcoming events.

In the Events Settings on the General Tab are you using this option “Include events in main blog loop” to show the events on your home page?

I also took a look at your site and did not see the past events anymore did you remove them?

Let me know and we can try to help you out if you would like.

    Thanks

I tested out the default WordPress sticky post on WordPress 4.0 with Twenty Twelve and the Events Calendar showing events in the home page blog and not on the home page blog.

Unfortunately, the sticky post worked for me in all cases.

Is this sticky post suppose to be working in this section “SabiaMente Blog”?

In your event settings do you have this option unchecked? “Include events in main blog loop”

What about if you do not have the event widget in the foooter? does that change anything?

Let me know about that and we can go from there.

    Thanks

    Something like this might work:

    .type-tribe_events .share-filled .twitter .count {

    }

That should work for twitter. If you had hover on the end it should change the color.

That selector I used is for the individual event post.

    Does that work?

I am afraid there is no option included.

However, there is a free plugin that can do this clean up.(sorry just learned about it)

It is not an official, but it is created by developers of the plugin.

Please read through the plugin instructions and back up your site before using it.

    The Events Calendar Housekeeper
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-housekeeper/

    Will that work for you?

    Hello Michelle,

Geoff is taking some well deserved time off so I am going to jump in here.

There is going to be a bunch of functions and classes to look at for the importer.

    They are found in the-events-calendar/lib/io/csv/

To get the custom fields there you will have to add them through this class:

    TribeEventsImporter_ColumnMapper.php

The specific class you would will need to look at for events is in this file:

    TribeEventsImporter_FileImporter_Events.php

That is where you will add the field to the post.

Does that help get you started?

How strange, are people reporting any errors to you?

Usually when you see a date of 1970 it is because it is not a correct date in the field so I just assumed SPAM as someone is putting text in there.

Are these always the same Venues and Organizers that getting these errors, or does it appear to be random?

Let me know and I will think of something else.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Yes we have something that can help you out. It does not set a default month, but instead “fast forwards” to the next month it finds with an event in it.

Try adding this coding to your theme’s function.php

    https://gist.github.com/elimn/46835a4a16dcdc4cde97#file-fast-forward-mini-cal-php

Let me know if that works for you.

    Thanks

Ok so we do have a plugin that enables you to go into the venue and change the coordinates of the address.

It is called Event Rocket and it is built by us as an experiment.

    Event Rocket

I just learned about it or I would have told you sooner, but I was able to make an event pin appear in Antarctica using it.

So you should be able to use it to fix the locations on your maps too.

You can add the coordinates without Pro to for a venue, but you will need Pro for the map view.

    Thanks

Thanks for the interest in the Events Calendar Pro.

Yes you can edit a single instance of any recurring event.

When you hover of the event title of a recurring event the following options appear and you can click edit single for any of the events in a recurring event.

    recurring-edit-single

    Does that answer your question?

    Thanks

    Hey slayer91,

Are you referring to this box?

    “Clean up recurring events after”

That is only in the pro version and only for recurring events, not your typical single event.

You could try using a plugin such as Auto Prune Posts to do what you are asking.

    Auto Prune Posts

    Does that help?

    Hi!

Thanks for using our plugin and we are glad you like it.

You can edit the widget template by following the themer’s guide and moving it to your theme:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/

There you can edit it the way you would like.

Or you could put a text widget above the mini calendar with a button that links to your main calendar.

    Does that help?
