    Hi,

Thanks for the interest in our plugins. I can help out here.

    1. I plan to categorize events into 3 sections: upcoming, past and affiliate events. Is it possible to display events by category on the specific pages by using Events Calendar PRO?

For the event category’s the plugin does create a Category View for each Event Category with the main views of month, list, map, etc…

For example if you have an event category of Lettuce the url is this:

    yoursite.com/events/category/lettuce/

So that is one way to show only events from one category in the main views and you can link directly to any of those.

    2. If I would like to sell tickets via online payment, do I have to purchase Event Tickets Plus add-on separately for $89?

If you would like to sell tickets then yes you will have to purchase The Event Tickets Plus.

However, the category views work in the core version of the Events Calendar found for free on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/

So you do not need Pro for that or for Event Tickets Plus to work either.

You only need Pro if you would like Pro Features.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Thanks for using our plugins.

Pro does not have a feature to enable front end submission of events. That is a feature of Community Events, which is a separate plugin:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-community-events/

You can how that plugin is setup here:

    New User Primer: Community Events

Is that what you are referring to?

If you would like that features and not Pro I can change your license to it.

    Let me know.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for using the Events Calendar.

We have the Filter Bar as a way to filter by venues, you can just select that filter if that is all you want.

    https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-filterbar/

Then you could use the themer’s guide to modify the loop of the fitlers as well.

Beyond that we do not have a way to do as you ask and we for the most part unable to help on customizations beyond showing you some guides and answering some questions to help you start.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for using the iCal Importer. I can help out here.

I am not sure that the iCal Importer can correctly detect if an event has been deleted and to remove it from the WordPress install.

Did this ever work before for you? Did you see it in any of our documentation that is should do this?

I know that if you delete an event in WordPress it should not reimport the event from the ical feed.

I do not think it can do it in reverse of that.

Let me know and we can go from here.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for using our plugins. I can help troubleshoot this with you.

I visited your site and see what you mean.

Can you provide the Event Recurring settings for both of those that do not link correctly?

I am going to try and replicate the issue on my test site to see if I can narrow down the cause of this.

    Let me know.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for using our plugins. I can try to help out here, but we do not have a feature to change the view for search results by default and I am limited in support customizations.

From looking through the couple past requests we have for this, there does not appear to be an easy solution and it will take significant amount of custom coding to add.

If you would like to request that feature please head to our UserVoice Page and add your own or upvote that feature as they will increase the chances of it being added to a future version.

For now I am limited in providing much else about it, but can try to answer some questions.

    Thanks

    Hi,

The WooCommerce Product Gallery is not supported by us and not something we can help integrate into our plugins as it is 3rd party coding.

It could be possible to add to the template using their functions and adding them to our templates following our themer’s guide:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

But as it is 3rd party coding coding, we are not able to tell you where to begin with that unfortunately.

That is about all we can provide on this.

If you think that is something you would like as a feature I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there.

    Hi,

Thanks for using our plugins. I can help out here.

By default we create the category views for the calendar and each one of those creates a past events area if there are events.

We do not have a method to dynamically link there, but you could use the links generated when you vist it.

For instance if you have a category called lettuce, this would link to the past events first page for it in list view:

    yoursite.org/events/category/lettuce/list/?tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=past

You could get those links for any of the past event category views you would like.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Hi,

Thanks for using our plugins and sorry for the delayed reply here.

You want to setup the Payment Gateway in WooCommerce as well as that will take the payment on the front end for the tickets.

The Community Tickets gateway is just for the spilt payments.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for using the Events Calendar.

Here on the pre-sales forum, I’m afraid we do not provide technical support. I would ask that you take any technical support questions across to our wordpress.org forum – our staff scan it periodically and other community members may also be able to help out.

    The Events Calendar

Having said that you can try out this snippet to create an ics file with a years worth of events:

    Thanks again!

    Hi,

    Thanks for using our plugins.

Your license expired(11/2015) before we released 4.0 so you have the last version available before the expiration.

To access the latest versions of Pro you will need to renew your license.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Hi Oiane,

We do not have a feature in our plugins for seat map.

Eventbrite Tickets might have something you can use on their end.

    Cheers

    Hi,

So it looks to be a couple issues at play here.

First the ics file starts with events from 2015 and in fact more then half the events there are past events. So it has to process all those events first before even getting to upcoming events.

Second part of that, is the file (and link) has a large amount of events and the script is not able to process them all. Since it starts at the beginning of the file it times out before it even gets to 2016 and produces the error you are getting.

Even after reducing the file to 2016 on my end I get a malformed response error and the script times out.

For sure there has to be a way for us to better parse the ics feed, but that is not something we can improve right away.

But, I was able to split the 2016 events into two files and then able to see all the events imported.

I have included links to the files I created in the private reply below.

Let me know if those work for you.

    Thanks
